The Churchill Smock by Lockwood is the kind of outerwear that doesn't just protect you from the weather; it makes the weather apologise for being so rude. Despite its "over-engineered for the apocalypse" specs, the fit is surprisingly tailored. It features an adjustable waist and hem, so you don’t end up looking like a green canvas tent. It feels substantial and heavy in the way a luxury item should—like a well-made watch or a heritage Land Rover. Buy it once, wear it forever, and look like a British statesman while doing it.

The smock is amazing quality, the commutation regarding my order was brilliant, and delivery was spot on. I’ve tried many “waterproof “ coats but this is the real deal .

Round of applause to Jacob and his team. I bought the Boiled Wool Gilet and I would like to say I am impressed with the quality and style. I had to exchange the medium size for a large and the customer service was exceptional.

I purchased the vintage henry smock. From the interaction with the team in deciding the size to the delivery was nothing less than excellent. The smocks fit and quality is second to none. I have had several Barbour jackets in my time but this garment in my opinion is far superior.

Really great products with a lovely personalised service. Bought the wrong size for my husband and exchange was very straight forward. Highly recommend.

Best jacket I have

Amazing customer service and communication. Fantastic jacket so well made couldn’t ask for more.

Jacob provided excellent communication by email and immediately dispatched a bigger size when requested. Excellent customer service and constantly kept me up to date.
The Falklands Smock so far has provided to be very well made.....quality fabric....excellent zips and press studs....a really well designed hood.... and a great deep woodland camouflage colour.....so far performed really well in blowy drizzle and heavier rain....and general blowy conditions.
Will be using it extensively over the coming year in Norfolk, Cumbria, Scotland, the Midlands.....and probably elsewhere...for walking, hiking, birdwatching and bushcraft.... one observation, the sizes come up small....I'm a 40"chest and the large is just big enough to wear a winter shirt and jumper underneath....if you want to layer over a mid weight fleece you'll probably need to go up a size.....

The Brecon Smock is without doubt fully waterproof, a little pricey but a price worth paying to keep dry. You can read my fuller review on the Lockwood website, along with many others from genuine customers

Amazing jacket, has been great for keeping me dry on my long dog walks. Doesn't come with any insulation but lots of space underneath to layer up underneath to stay warm.

Wow!!! What a great product. Looks great on is a great coat for keeping warm and able to vent as well. It’s pricey, BUT you can see where the money is spent the moment the courier drops it off. I will be buying more products from the company, but am content it’ll be 10+ years until I need to look at another smock. Thanks team for the product and customer service. Tony.

Having received my Falkland smock, I just wanted to write a few lines to try and convey just how outstanding the quality of Lockwood’s clothing and service actually is.

I absolutely ‘get’ what Jacob is trying to achieve, he wants to recreate the golden era of British manufacturing and produce garments that genuinely last year upon year. He sees it how previous generations saw it, when they insisted on buying British-made, because it meant high quality and longevity.

Purchasing and receiving my smock has been a unique experience in itself-the messages from Jacob that convey his genuine appreciation for people’s custom, the amazing packaging, the stand-out quality of the smock itself…it all made the buying experience something very special indeed for me and that’s exactly what I was hoping for.

Real quality isn’t cheap, it never will be because it has to reflect the manufacturing costs and ability to actually make a profit. No one really appreciates that properly until they run their own business, (as I do, and it’s hard graft to be successful and make a living).

For me personally, the back story of Jacob, as an ex-squaddie, getting his dream and vision off the ground and making it a reality was a big part of me wanting to support Lockwood but the exceptional quality and finish of the kit now it’s arrived has confirmed I made the right choice!
