Not Finnish design, purposefully misleading and predatory
Loiste has been covered in multiple Finnish press outlets for illegal and predatory practices. They have already received a warning from the Finnish authorities, but seemingly continue to mislead customers, as this happened to me too. They are purposefully misleading about their product, implying it is Finnish design, hence justifying the big markup compared to other brands. In reality the product is drop-shipped from China (Source Yle, find the article online). The company is also purposefully misleading customers into predatory subscriptions of hundreds of euros that they will later claim cannot be cancelled; this happened to me too, until I threatened to make a complaint to Finnish consumer protection at which they relented and let me cancel the subscription. They have sued over a thousand customers for failing to pay for their predatory schemes (Source IS, find the article online).
Even though all of this has been covered in the news and I have all my interaction with them saved, the customer service point blank lied to me about all of the details, including about all the information that was allegedly in the confirmation messages and emails.
Tldr: known predatory fraudsters, will trick you into paying hundreds and take you to court if you don't. If you find yourself not being able to cancel a subscription, threaten with making a complaint to KVV. That is your right, and they are already on thin ice. KVV is considering heavy fines for the company.
