Extremely deceptive company - £500 for 15 minutes of work

Extremely deceptive company – charged £500 for 15 minutes of work. I had a terrible experience with Locksmith247 and want to warn others. When I was locked out, they wouldn't give a quote over the phone, claiming they needed to see the door first. I was on rush becayse my mother was at the hospital after an operation and I discharged so I needed to pick her up but needed the key. Once the technician arrived, he said the lock needed drilling and replacing. When I asked for the price, he vaguely stated it would be "more than £150." Relying on that estimate, I told him to proceed. He completed the work in 15 minutes but then demanded £500. He justified this outrageous price by claiming that 4:30pm on a Friday is considered "weekend rates."I have requested a formal invoice with a price breakdown three times, but they have completely ignored me. This business uses predatory tactics on stranded customers. Do not trust them.

Dishonest

Dishonest, they said 65£ on the phone. I was forced to pay 290£ with the excuse that my locker was “special security”; the guy literally spent 5 minutes opening the door—Standard Banham locker. He needed to drill a hole in the door. Again 5 minutes of service from beginning to end.
