Delayed yet again. I catch London Midland trains twice a day, five days a week and half the time they're either delayed or cancelled. What's the point of paying an extortionate amount for a monthly ti... See more

Shocking

Shocking, constantly late and cancelled, toilets always out if service and Wi-Fi always unavailable. Last week missed a train because there were ticket inspections on the way out of patform. It took so long to check each ticket and ticket inspectors were not letting people onto the platform until they had individually checked 300 tickets. Missed my train had to get a cab. When I tried to get a refund the process was tedious and complicated.

Dangerous

Shocking service,Use train to the west brom football match usually there are only 3 carriages on like today 8th Feb,When the train arrives at cradley heath it's full to the seams your crushed up against the door,When it arrives at cradley more people are trying to cram on if ever there was a accident it would be so dangerous, London Midlands get your act together on a Saturday you have Birmingham shoppers and football fans and you put just 3 carriages on.

Terrible

Why if London Midland know what’s wrong in their trains don’t they do something about it. It’s so hot - people have their winter jackets on and it’s sweltering hot on the train. Feet were burning people uncomfortable. Why why turn it down. Also could do with a clean. It’s terrible the floors and the filthy tables. Rating of 1 star is shameful. I have been to third world countries with better timing comfort and consideration of their customers. Having someone speak on the tannoy once in a while doesn’t make it good customer service 🙄🤷🏽‍♀️😮

well out of pocket due to delays

We're encouraged to start using public transport and today I decided to ditch the car and use the train.

I'm home 3 hours later than i should have been and out of pocket a further £50 in taxis and alternative transport.

Last time i use public transport.

Absolute joke

Absolute joke, pay 88 pounds a month to get to work along with the other thousand people trying to pile on a 3 carriage train! It gets to the point when you go to 7 other stops and no one can get on!!!! This is surely health and safety. If you catch the train before the rush hour, it's 6 carriages and empty. Run the buisness properly and use your brain!

Trains o.k when they arrive or arent…

Trains o.k when they arrive or arent cancelled but complained that the services were leaving early - response 'get to the station early' - errr how can I? Its a big walk to the station, lack of connections there and I have long term health condition which causes me to get tired when walking and standing long periods. In Japan they apologise when its 20 seconds late! Shows the difference in attitude between countries. Hey maybe that ignorant customer service guy firstly can pick me up to go the station and then sort the facilities out at the station then learn some manners and then learn to run his bloody trains on time, leaving 2-5mins early is unacceptable, get a sodden watch and get you bloody trains to leave when you state not one second more not one less - just a thought! 😉

I am appalled by this train service

I am appalled by this train service. Constant delays and cancellations with trains, no warnings. The main reason is a shortage of train crew? Well this has been going on for more than a year so maybe resolve that problem and hire more staff? I am never accepted a refund when the trains have been delayed. I wouldnt even give them a star. Clearly what we say doesn't matter because this is the most popular line and we can complain all we want but i still need to get to work in the morning

Appalling, Shocking, I’d rather walk

Left stranded after the T20 finals at Edgbaston. After waiting nearly an hour on the platform looking at the board saying delayed it was eventually cancelled. If it hadn’t been for a Worcester Rapids supporter who worked for the train company who rang his office we’d have still been there now. The worst part is they left us to wait on a platform knowing it had been cancelled. That night there were thousands of people stranded trying to get back to Worcester, families and young children. Never again

If there was a ‘minus’ star value

If there was a ‘minus’ star value, I’d give West Midlands minus ten. What a shambolic experience!!!

I have made a huge mistake of unknowingly booking the West Mids sh&twagon for Euston to Birmingham journey instead of Virgin Trains (yeah, Virgin - your website gives no warning to those not used to the system and I feel cheated on!!) and paid the premium for the ‘first class’. No services, kicked out of the first class lounge as no access allowed despite of the first class ticket, no refreshments at all throughout the 2-hr journey let alone the complementary ones, jam-packed ‘first class’ carriage full of people without the appropriate ticket, ticket inspector who doesn’t give two hoots about it, and dirty worn out absolutely minging seats with tiny space my 5’6” size 8 frame had trouble to squeeze in.
All in all, I’d rather ride on a rabid fox next time than use the West Midlands again. Sooner they go bust, burn to ashes or disappear into some black hole of sh&tty services, the better.

4 hour journey from London to…

4 hour journey from London to Liverpool. Only 1 bathroom available on the whole train. No toilet paper in it, no soap in the dispenser. Absolutely disgusting condition in the toilet and to leave people unable to use the toilet for such a long journey is completely unacceptable. Without being graphic, it's a good job I had my own tissues and hand sanitizer. Im sure there may have been others on this journey who were less fortunate. Disgraceful.

Filthy, late trains

Filthy, dilapidated trains - I often prefer to stand rather than sit on the worn and dirty seats. The search for new antibiotics should begin on their fold-down lap trays.

Never on time in the afternoon, even worse since the introduction of their new timetable. No one would use this company if they had a choice. How on earth they keep their franchise is beyond me.

Horrible train service

Horrible train service.

_____

They reduce carriages at peak times. Constant train delays. They leave an impression that their drivers often work from home. Plus, the ticket fairs are extremely high for the service that they offer.

Ripped off for boarding the train and…

Ripped off for boarding the train and trying to buy a ticket on board. The guards had a ticket machine and refused to sell me a ticket. Told me I could appeal on line but website did not work (this is ran by a third party). There were 3 guards sweeping the train and charging people perfectly willing to pay for tickets but refusing and issuing fixed penalty notices. One girl was under 18 and when told she would need to provide parents details got very upset but this did not deter the guard. I was traveling to a meeting in Crewe so needed to be ion that train so got on as the queue was too long at the station. For the sake of an extra £8 west midlands trains will never get any business from me again. Disgraceful way to treat customers.

West Midlands trains are a joke

West Midlands trains are a joke. Travel Mon -Fri from Lichfield Trent to University. Trains more often late than on time. They always seems to terminate the return trains at Lichfield city which is one stop before Lichfield Trent. The reason they are running late!! So no matter, you make me late and still have to pay the full fare! Why not try running your trains on time? Absolute joke of a train company

Kieran is a credit!!

I’m sat on the train now 12/03/19 12:54. Kieran passed through the carriage and asked to check passes but doing so put everyone in a great mood he only had to say a few words I loved his positive energy. I travel quite a lot using trains week in week out and unlike majority members of staff check tickets he was bright bubbly and enthusiastic. Wished us all a good day and completely changed the atmosphere so much so the man on a couple chairs down had a massive smile on his face. It really does only take a small thing to change someone’s day and Kieran really did that, an absolute credit to London midland and I hope to travel again with him on board! Please make sure the feedback is passed on!!
