No way to cancel card
I got a gift card from a company. Registered it but didn't use it in time. Now I am being charged a 'maintenance' fee for the card and there is no way to cancel the card. Tried the email address - it bounces back. Tried the 'contact us' form. It won't submit. Really seems like a company just out to take your money.

Truly awful vouchers especially if you have the misfortune of getting the paper vouchers which limits your options even more !! Before you buy them just look at the limited variety of shops you can now spend them at (also paper vouchers are different than digital vouchers) and compare what choice you'd have getting Amazon vouchers its a total no brainer. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I'm really sorry to hear you're unhappy with your paper vouchers. It's not possible to spend the paper vouchers online because there is no way for the balance to be taken from them - you can only spend them by handing them over at the till.
Many of our customers enjoy the simplicity of our paper vouchers which are spent like cash in many of the UK's biggest retailers like Boots, TK Maxx, Argos and lots more.
If you get the opportunity to receive Love2shop products again, and are looking for something more flexible, please ask for the Love2shop gift card or Love2shop e-Gift card which can be spent online.

Can I give no stars?
Truly appalling, arrogant company. I completed surveys and received 'vouchers'. Note the word voucher! I earned £10 and cashed it in. Since I have a L2S account, I figured I'll just add it to my account and save for later.
On going to their website the only option is to enter the voucher code. NO problem (ha ha), a few weeks later I earn another £10 and do the same thing. Now I have £20 to spend on a PSN voucher, but no. The vouchers are TWO separate amounts of £10.
I can't do anything, but buy the junk on their website. There is nothing I want or need, but tough. Because they are 'vouchers' provided by another company, I can't combine them nor add them to my account, and I can't even buy two L2S vouchers to use them for what I need.
As you can see, I've been arguing with them for nearly 3 weeks and pretty much told to go away, there is nothing they can (will?) do to allow me to spend them how I wish.
You'd think with modern technology it wouldn't be difficult to combine the money of which they are CLEARLY aware I have.
I have an account because I used to obtain Tesco vouchers which are no longer on L2S' website. It seems that Tesco have wised up to their shady practices. Avoid at all costs!

I am extremely disappointed with Love2Shop’s customer service, which has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I have been desperately trying to resolve an issue with my gift card for over two days now, but it feels like shouting into a void because there is not a single human available to actually help. Their entire support system seems designed to run you around in circles with useless, automated brick walls rather than offering any genuine assistance. Leaving customers completely stranded with unresolved problems and zero access to a real representative is completely unacceptable, and I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before using their service.

Time limits to spend are very short
Got a reward from my company and chose love2shop e gift card but didn't notice only 6 months to spend it!! So lost a whole chunk of it!! Love2shop says these codes have a six-month validity period, and once expired they cannot be extended, reactivated, refunded or replaced so i won't bother asking for a few months extension. You have been warned and I won't be buying from then again.

Our Love2shop e-gift cards have a six-month validity period, which is stated in the email containing the Reward Code. Unfortunately, once a code has expired, we’re unable to extend or reactivate it, and any remaining balance cannot be refunded or replaced. This is in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed with the reward provider.
We do offer a wide range of products and denominations to exchange your Reward Code for, so we encourage customers to redeem their codes before the expiry date.
We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that your experience has left you feeling disappointed. We understand the importance of making the terms clear and hope this explanation provides some clarity.

Absolutely ridiculous website !! I would avoid at all costs. For the last 3 days I’ve been trying to get on to the website and app to redeem and everytime it’s taken over a couple of hours for the code to even come through which by then is even useless to use so it’s the same repeated cycle over and over again !!! If you want to avoid the stress I would go somewhere else which there is plenty of companies that do these now

Awful system, wanted to buy an e-gift card that could be used to spend right away, except you can't do that. Well 'technically' you can the wording and advertising is deliberately misleading to force you into a situation where you can easily accidently waste your money. You're not actually buying an e-gift card from love to shop that you can use, you're buying love to shop credit that you have to use towards something else...and if you want the generic love to shop gift card you have to order a physical one. And if you fall for their trap, tough luck your money is theirs now and you can't get it refunded. So now I have to wait for them to send a gift card just so I can use the gift card I thought I was ordering digitally. Absolutely scam of a system and completely pointless provides no convenience over just sending cash to someone or buying a gift card directly from a shop. And in fact is more inconvenient because you have to wait for them to process and send the physical card if you want generic or one of the store that don't offer e-gift cards (like hmv)

There isn't currently a digital version of the Love2shop gift card. This is because the shops need to swipe the magnetic strip on the back of the card at the point of sale.
So that we could meet demand for gifting options that could be sent via email, we developed the Love2shop e-Gift card whereby the recipient exchanges the value of a code for a gift card specifically for a shop of their choice.
This meant we could include many of the major high street retailers without requiring them to find a new way to process multi-store gift card. It also ensures that the recipient has the final choice on where they spend their gift.
We're really sorry for any confusion caused, but hope you can see that the exchange process allows us to offer as much choice as possible to the recipient.

Absolute dog shit voucher process when I had previous cards you could take the card in and spend it in different shops now they want you to order a card for a specific store it’s absolute rubbish and don’t even think about exchanging it whilst you shop it takes ages to be sent then ends up where the card belongs in the trash folder of your emails ended up spending more in stores than the value of the card was because of the stupidity of this company and now that I want to change it to a different store because I don’t wish to spend it in Primark where there clothes are cheap and there prices high I now can’t do that due to it being “digital” get a life love to shop you are a bunch of con artists that prey on idiots that buy gift cards because they have no ability to ask someone what they really want
