Why pitch with us... Opened in 2017, Love2Stay is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Affiliated Site on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. A touring site and 'glamping' village, set in 22 acres of landscaped grounds close to the England-Wales border, it boasts sleek, modern architecture and superb facilities. Just a short drive from the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Love2Stay has 122 fully-serviced pitches. Wi-Fi is available for all guests throughout the site and attractions include outdoor yoga, a Pilates studio, a gym and wellness centre, a coffee shop / Italian pizzeria, outdoor barbecues and cooking fire pits, jogging and walking paths and even barefoot trails. The Shropshire touring site also features a separate dog walking area, a wooden adventure playground for children, on-site fishing, a BIOTOP natural swimming pool with water garden and heated outdoor hot springs, splashpool with beach and sun terrace. Whilst you may rarely venture out after pitching up because of the broad range of activities and facilities available, the medieval county town of Shrewsbury offers historic landmarks and an impressive range of independent shops, cafés and restaurants to explore. Ironbridge, home to the magnificent structure that spans the River Severn and gives the town its name, is less than 13 miles away, while other nearby attractions include the National Trust’s Attingham Park and Wroxeter Roman Vineyard. Whether you want to exercise, spend valuable time with family and friends, explore the area or simply relax and get away from it all, Love2Stay is a state-of-the-art site to suit all tastes. With enhanced protocols and guaranteed cleanliness standards to ensure heightened health and safety measures for guests seeking peace of mind at Love2Stay.

Better for young families

Our first visit touring our caravan to a non coastal retreat of 4 nights with our daughters 10&12.

Check in was fast and informative. The pitches are extra large. You’d fit two caravans on these and a car they’re that big so there is ample space, first time we hadn’t needed to level our van which was amazing and each has privacy hedging with a grass embankment or back green space.

The facilities were clean and pleasant, the showers and toilets had space not like usual jammed packed tiny cubicles. The block is pleasantly warm, the showers are lovely and hot with complimentary shampoo and body wash. There are also hair dryers and baby bathing facilities. Great to see a large squeegee to mop excess water away before /after.

The grounds are well kept. We saw staff keeping the grass trimmed and stones / rubbish clear during the week days on the pitches and grounds.

The layout is well thought out. Keeping the activities and pools down from site. The maps are clear to follow.

My girls enjoyed clay modelling. Assault course. S’mores and fire building. Paddle boarding and kayaking. Hats off to the lads particularly joe and another (sorry didn’t catch his name) for their genuine enthusiasm and engaging our older kids when the weather was naff (for fire building & assault course ) or they were the only two booked in. They were fantastic and worth the money we paid!

The dog compound is a good walking and ball throwing space and the agility and dog wash station a nice extra.

The cafe offers a nice selection of beverages, cakes and savoury bites. We didn’t dine in properly.

The pool was fresh and a new experience, the hot tubs were okay but get very murky late in the day after many people. We had an incident where my daughter went into the kids beach pool and put her hands down in faeces… totally unpleasant (baby pools for you I guess) but they quickly vacated everyone and dealt with the issue not that we returned.

As a first experience we enjoyed our stay. Great for kids and families and it really is a dog friendly site.

The only points that I felt impacted our stay would be fair use policy of the hot tubs - we gave up waiting some days with hot tubs filled with young kids and teens going in and out of large groups ignoring the 5 max and hogging tubs. They get quite yucky later on in the day as you can imagine so I didn’t feel clean in them. The hot tub and pools don’t appear to be monitored. We only saw a staff member two afternoons of the 5 days we stayed.

It would be great to have a small shop or vending machine just to sell milk or perhaps some snacks or biscuits too. That was a big one for us - caravan fridges aren’t big so having to drive off site every two days for milk was an inconvenience.

It would be nice if the cinema screenings were free on a book a place basis. I thought £5/child was rather expensive so didn’t utilise this.

The waste collection needed some attention although that’s down to those overfilling bins and lazy people not availability. Would be great to see some recycling bins as everything but glass was dumped together.

despite this i must stay the staff were friendly, helpful. The ladies on reception were just lovely!

Would have liked to have stayed longer

Just had 5 nights here with our caravan along with our family. It’s a lovely clean site and the pitch sizes are generous. The staff are welcoming. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Our dog enjoyed the secure dog fields. There is a good coffee shop which does nice breakfasts. Lots of other facilities. The toilets and showers are very clean and warm. Very happy with our stay!

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway…

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway there at the black barn(cherry),the place looked absolutely beautiful and looked after, not like one of those commercialised site's where is all about the quantity but not quality, this place is all about the quality!!!
Big thanks to the girls behind the desk!!! Special thanks to Larisa for all your help, and finding us a place to come back in August.

Absolutely beautiful site

Absolutely beautiful site, really well maintained, lots to do, cafe and many other amenities. Pitch was a good size and good position.
Only downsides were the thunder flies (which made it unbearable to sit outside) and the broken dog wash. We washed our long haired German shepherd in the dog wash only to realise the dryer didn’t work when we went to use it leaving us with a very smelly dog stinking the van out! Small things but we had a brilliant time.

Love2stay

Lovely site, large pitches loads of space. Toilet/ Showers were spotless. The only gripe I've got is that they are advertising a fishing lake, so I packed my stuff and set off only to be told its closed for fishing as there is a health and safety issue. If I'd have known that I would have booked somewhere else. It should be taken off there website and not advertised.

Excellent campsite

Excellent campsite. Friendly and helpful staff. Immaculate shower block, love the White Company amenities. Beautiful grounds. Next to their amazing Garden centre. Didn't use the cafe this time nor the gym but both are great. Thank you for finding my mascara that fell down the hairdryer holder 😬

Rotting grass 16th June

Stayed for 3 nights from 16th June. Chose the pitch from our last visit in February. Weather was kind but unfortunately there was a lot of composting grass cuttings a short distance from dp15. The rotten smell meant we could not sit outside for long or eat outside It also had attracted a significant number of flies. We had already pitched our awning so weren't prepared to move. For £60 per night this is disgraceful and it's very unlikely we will be returning

Site and shower block were excellent

Site and shower block were excellent, the staff had no information on the local bus services we were told to go online and look, which is ok if you know the area and the bus numbers. The site doesn’t have a little shop to buy the basics ie: bread and milk you have to walk to the local co-op but first get over the busy A5 which is a death defying act in itself. So come on L2S put a small shop in the grounds.

Great for young families. Safe and quiet.

We stayed in a lodge which had a great spec. Alan in particular was very hospitable. Made sure our stay was relaxing and special. The campsite was family friendly and we were lucky with the weather so got to enjoy all of the outside facilities. Our 5 year old loved the playground/football pitch the beach. It was great for dogs. I would recommend that they tidy up the dining tables quicker but it was busy. Catering staff really helpful and happy to help. Could do with a cold fridge for cold beers though. Gym could do with 7am starts at the weekend so have all day to enjoy other facilities in the day and the local area. The campsite itself is situated perfectly for Shrewsbury. We loved it.

Lovely site

Lovely large, fully serviced pitches, we didn't do any activities, but it was a lovely site to use as a base to explore Shrewsbury. We used the shower in our caravan, but another guest did say they were cold. We did have Pizza from the coffee shop, it was OK but we have had better. We will be visiting again!

Attitudes off all staff were poor

Attitudes off all staff were poor, looked fed up. No waiter service tables all dirty no one cleaning them just no hospitality like abroad. This place should off waiter service cleaning tables for the prices. Bought jacket potatoes very small potato hardly any tuna, cutting back on the prices they charge they never asked was our meal okay. They shout out numbers looking for your orders no one responds because they are busy. Get a better system the staff look like we are doing there heads in. Limited ice cream for kids poor selection no shop on site if you forget milk etc. No toy shop for kids to visit really really poor. We were visitors for the day. Room for improvement

Grossly overpriced for facilities available!

For the pricing , very poor facilities . As a tourer , the water from the borehole ran out for three hours . No toilets , no showers , no water ! The toilet block was designed to look good but was not functional , no caddies in the shower cubicles , the water ran through from adjacent cubicles , when available ? No separate wash basin closets . The hair dryer was broken . Badly designed toilet facilities . The chemical toilet wash and cleaning equipment was broken . No fishing permitted in the lake for fear of hooks !
No shop for essentials such as bread or milk . For £50 / night simply not worth the money !
