Double Agent 2 in 1 Straightening Brush…

Double Agent 2 in 1 Straightening Brush - Dreadful product and worse customer service.

The not inexpensive brush was purchased for my wife as a Christmas Present. It has been used once and is simply a hair drying brush, it has no straightening functionality at all. In fact hair was more frizzy after use. Comparable hair drying brushes are available at a fraction of the cost. Customer service non-existent when complaining that product does not live up to their false claims and advertising. Business ignores all UK consumer rights law. Avoid the products are sold with false claims and if ordered you are stuck with them.

No free gifts as advertised and appalling customer service!!!

I spent around £150 on haircare products and I was supposed to receive three free gifts because I had done so. Only one turned up which was a tiny little sachet, I was missing the hairbrush and a haircare set. I got in contact and they told me that you have to add the free gifts to the basket in order to receive them which it didn't say anywhere plus I didn't add any so not sure how I got the sachet.. I was then told that the gifts were sold out, so they should have taken the offer down really shouldn't they... The people I dealt with initially were very rude. I then got in contact through the live chat (previously it was through the message function which got me nowhere). I was then told my complaint would be investigated and I would hear something back. 3 times I chased this up and kept getting told it had been escalated. I then got in contact for the 4th time, the agent said they would escalate the complaint again after my declining £10 credit.. I then received a message the next day saying they had given me £20 credit and my complaint was closed. Seeing as the free haircare bundle was around £30 and they had the items individually in stock I don't really think this is acceptable. It's a real shame because I enjoy their products and even though they're expensive I would have purchased them again if the customer service wasn't so shockingly poor!!

Just avoid this company

Just avoid this company. False advertising, when contacted customer service they told me different things each time. Lied to me and actually gaslite me. Shocking. The absolute worst company I have ever experienced

Avoid!!!

Their shower cap lets water in from behind and doesn't sit so pricey for one that's not very good. But worst of all it stuck to the back of my hair and ripped a bit of my hair off. Customer service did nothing, said they couldn't offer a refund for hygiene purposes. Avoid their products.

Great customer service

I purchased a hot air brush in December 2022. It stopped working in November 2023.
Love Amika UK replaced it immediately.

This is AMIKA!! 1 🌟

This is AMIKA!!! They’re diabolical.
Ordered over 2 weeks ago, waited a week before contacting & was told they were experiencing delays due to offers. Items would be dispatched within 24 hours & I would receive 15 credit for the inconvenience. 1 week later no items & no credit. Cancelled order. This is an incredibly popular haircare brand. I went to space n k to order the items instead. Appalling service from such brand.

Received parcel with two missing items

Received parcel with two missing items, at first the customer service team said they will offer a replacement. Only to backtrack a few days later with their investigation team closing my account and claiming that they dont take accountability for the delivery company that they chose.
Very upset about this, I used to be a loyal customer.

Don't do it....just don't.

After much research I decided to buy an Amika styler, even though the American reviews on the brush were pretty bad, (should have listened to my gut) anyway I purchased through Cult beauty in Feb and when the brush arrived I completed an online warranty with Amika. Fast forward to the 3rd Sept when the brush stopped working, blue light, nothing else, it had gone from styler to brick. So I contacted Amika and from that point on I've just been jumping through a series of hoops - it's been an absolute circus. On filling out the requested linked online form asking for proof of purchase details + photo's, I thought it would be a simple repair or replacement.... easy - it wasnt. Initially I was advised to contact Cult Beauty even though I explained it was a manufacturing warranty and was over 30 days. At this stage I didn't worry because I naively thought that having a warranty covered you, and it possibly does if you deal with a good company, loveamika.co.uk is anything but. After some online chats, phone calls and emails, each one being answered with the same generic polite promise to 'look into that for you' and nothing moving forward, I'm at a loss. Conclusion? - I've lost weeks of fretting! It's an expensive lesson but if there's a positive to be had, it's do your research and should it happen to be the brand 'loveamika' listen to your gut and look elsewhere, I didn't and wish I had a time machine.
