$190 Swimsuit Held Hostage by Love & Bikinis

I have NEVER in my life dealt with a more dishonest company than Love & Bikinis.

I spent $190 on a swimsuit and simply requested an EXCHANGE for a different color — not even a refund. And let’s be clear — this is an ONLINE store where you cannot see the colors or quality in person, and the color I received looked NOTHING like it did online, which is exactly why I needed an exchange in the first place.

Here’s where it gets worse…

To even start the exchange, I had to email their customer service, fill out a form, and upload photos of the item. I did EVERYTHING they asked. Based on those photos, they APPROVED my exchange request and had me pay to ship the item back to them.

So they already reviewed and accepted the item.

Then once they received it, they suddenly changed their story — claiming the suit was “worn” and returned with NO bag and NO hygienic liner — which is completely false.

So let me get this straight — it looked perfectly fine in the photos THEY reviewed and approved, but suddenly it was “worn” once they had it in their possession?

That makes absolutely no sense.

And it gets worse…

They are now refusing the exchange and told me they will DISPOSE of my $190 swimsuit unless I pay AGAIN to have it shipped back to me.

Let that sink in. They approved the return, took my money to ship it back, and are now holding my item hostage unless I pay even more.

This is not just bad customer service — it’s dishonest, misleading, and a completely unacceptable business practice.

If you’re thinking about ordering from them, DON’T. Because if anything goes wrong, they won’t help you — they will change their story and leave you stuck.

I will make sure everyone I know avoids this company — no one should ever have to deal with something like this.

AVOID! Terrible company.

I agree with all of the prior terrible reviews and wish I had seen them sooner. This company is awful. There is no customer service, you must email them, and it takes multiple times before they respond. They will do anything possible to avoid giving store credit for a return. It’s sickening. Truly the worst customer experience I have ever had. And also, the bikinis are absolutely not one size fits all. The entire company is deceptive.

I was sent an open and damaged suit

I ordered a swimsuit and it arrived with faulty stitching. I sent it back for an exchange and they mailed me an open suimsuit that is supposed to be one piece that was in two pieces because it was broken where it connects. I immediately sent them photos of the issue and they are saying I must have opened it and damaged it. Wow had I know they were shady I would have taken a video when opening the package.

The WORST company - BEWARE!!!!

This has been one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I've EVER encountered.

To begin with, the product was misleadingly advertised as "one size fits all." I wear a size 8, and the bathing suit did not fit at all. Secondly, their no-refund policy only allows for exchanges—but since they only offer one size, the exchange option is essentially meaningless if the item doesn’t fit. Finally, I returned the item hoping to receive store credit so I could try the one-piece version instead. However, they rejected my return, claiming there was a piece of dog hair on the bikini and insisting it had been worn, despite the tags still being attached and the item never having been used.

I was out $200 at that point, so I contacted my bank. After reviewing the situation, they agreed the seller's actions were deceptive and reversed the charge.

BUYER BEWARE!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! This is the absolute worst and most disreputable company I have ever had the sheer displeasure of encountering as a consumer. The other reviews here echo my recent experience. I only wish I had stumbled upon this site prior to paying for a mediocre product and enduring awful [so-called] customer service. Know that if you opt to do business with Love & Bikinis and wish to do nothing other than return an item you will first have to submit a request to do so. Should you then not receive a label from this company and/or need help with your return, and should you have the great misfortune of requiring what they call "customer support," you will have only the option of emailing them. There is no phone number listed on their website (neither is a phone number attached to this business available anywhere, as I would soon come to find); and no option for a live chat. Just an email address. You will then find that no representative from the company answers you and most certainly not within the stated twenty-hour response time promised on their website; and then, for the most part, not ever. Not until you email them continuously and threaten to escalate the matter with your credit card company and with consumer affairs agencies will you then, maybe, after nearly a month of trying, hear from a nasty, willfully unhelpful company representative whose sole job seems to be gaslighting and generally making it impossible for you to return the unwanted item. Your basic questions will go unanswered, even when you reply to these messages (some that come late at night and are borderline menacing to the point of causing you emotional distress) right away. Then, after once again receiving no response, and most definitely well past their "twenty-four hour" promise--again, you will email...again. And again. And again. Should you make it through this gauntlet, your reward for finally effecting the return, assuming they "approve" it once they have received the item (I'm still waiting on this) will be to remain trapped in the seventh circle of Love & Bikinis hell because this company, unlike nearly every other comparable bathing suit company and department store in the known universe, only allows exchanges and store credit. (You'll likely not learn this until you go to initiate a return, and the reason you won't know is because they very intentionally keep this rather important piece of information hidden in plain sight.) Should you inquire about this policy, you will, in a rare email appearance by a customer service representative, be treated to a condescending and obnoxious lecture about hygiene. One wonders then why, for example, every single one of Love & Bikinis' direct competitors--including, but not limited to, You Swim, Hunza G, Reina Olga, One With, and Miracle Suit--all offer refunds on full price items returned with tags on and hygiene strips in place. Given this, one must wonder that if Love & Bikinis is so hyper-focused on "hygiene" what it is that they do with returned merchandise in order to shield other consumers from receiving bathing suits that have previously been tried on and returned. Do they burn them? Recycle the materials? Are we to believe that every single bathing suit they send to every single customer is brand spanking new? This is yet more obfuscation on the part of this awful company that somehow gets great reviews in established publications, like New York Magazine--reviews that sadly lead consumers into the Love & Bikinis lion's den. While I did not ask for a refund at the outset of this long, time consuming, and upsetting process, merely for some guidance about returns, I did finally request a full refund for the horrible experience and inexcusable waste of my time. They never responded to that particular request, but based on their comportment to date, in the absence of any apology, and as evidenced solely by their shameless contempt for the consumer, my strong sense is that if they don't find a way to "reject" my return, they will never grant me that refund. They simply do not care. In my last communication with the representative--still via email, even though early on in the process I requested a phone call, I asked for the business phone number of the company's owner so that I could discuss my experience with them. In return I received...the owner's email address. I've little reason to believe this email address leads to a real person, let alone to the owner, however I have sent an email to that address requesting a call at a mutually convenient time. If past is prologue, I won't sit by the phone. If you haven't purchased from Love & Bikinis yet, for the sake of your wallet & sanity, run away as fast as you can. For others for whom it is too late, know you're not alone.

Wore this really expensive swimsuit…

Wore this really expensive swimsuit twice. Followed all care instructions/use instructions and it pulled/strings pulled immediately. I contacted customer service 3 times in the last month via email as they do not have a contact number without reply. Too expensive for how bad the quality is.

Buyer beware/SCAM!!!!

Buyer beware! Be VERY careful buying from this company. WORST customer service I have ever received. Both times I've needed to make a return, they haven't replied for a week or more, even though it says they'll reply in 24 hours. This 2nd return, I did a return request 3 days after receiving my item, and I have had to BEG for them to reply to my email. I emailed them 5 times over 2 weeks, and when they finally replied, they denied by request. There is no reason to deny. Their policy is 14 days. I requested in 3 days. They waited until it was 14 days after my request to say it was denied. I will never order from them again. Do your research. Scam company for sure! I'm currently filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

Heard about the brand through an online…

Heard about the brand through an online review page which reviewed 5 brands of crinkle suits. Used the link provided on the review page, which autopopulated a discount code. Placed order. The company then CANCELED my order within an hour. I reached out to them asking why it had been cancelled. They said the discount code was invalid and asked where I found it. After replying, I didn't hear back. Then I had to reach back out again. They changed their story and said a "system glitch" caused all orders in a certain window to be cancelled. They aren't honoring the discount code that successfully worked or my order. Clearly they are upset about the deeply discounted offer I used for my order and in turn cancelled my order - and furthermore lied about it. Terrible company. Be warned.

Do not buy. A rip off with no refund option.

Love&bikinis advertises their swimwear as one size fits all, but it did not fit me. I am usually a size medium bottom and large top.
I purchased my Jamaica Triangle Strings One Size Bikini SET (price $200.00) on December 31st about. It arrived fairly quickly, but was so skimpy it wouldn't cover neither my breasts nor my butt. I was able to get it exchanged for Barcelona bottom and Maui top. But after trying on two different styles, I can assure you that that unless you are very thin and trim , Love&Bikini tops offer very little to no support and bottoms are just simply unflattering. Edges of the swimwear are thick with elastic sown in and it cuts in to create folds and bulges where other swimwear brands I own do not.
Overall the quality seems decent , but the $200 price point is not justified , in m y opinion. I would love to return this bikini and get a refund , but it is not an option. Also, after exchanging items for me once (I did have to pay return shipping) customer support completely ignored my further requests to exchange for another style. It is now February 7th and I am about to go for vocation , but I stuck with $200 bikini set I can not wear. And the worst thing the bottom looks like bright pink diaper thats too small for me. Yuck

This swimwear brand provides the worst…

This swimwear brand provides the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I purchased a peach crinkle swimsuit and it goes ‘see thru’ when it gets wet and was also sold to me with a hole in it too which couldn’t be seen at time of purchase as it wasn’t tried on. It’s a beautiful colour but that’s it. I’m now left with a swimsuit that is unusable and the brand has zero interest in trying to help me. I’ve been trying to contact them for over 2 months now.
