My experience with Lovense’s official community spaces (Discord) and moderation infrastructure has revealed an alarming and systemic failure in basic duty of care, safeguarding, and legal compliance. These spaces consist of 100,000+ community members all of which expect safety as their first priority. As an extension of their corporate brand and operated as an official platform by Lovense (by their own admission), the community comes together on these specific platforms to form the basis of Lovense toy use, connecting with other like minded individuals, creating dynamics and relationships which often result in a very personable affair.

As an online platform operating in a highly sexualised industry and space, Lovense completely fails to provide basic education on etiquette, online behavior, good practice, consent, and personal boundaries. Instead, their official spaces suffer from a severe lack of safeguarding oversight and a good level of duty of care, instead choosing to use community members with poor levels of training that opt to 'cherry pick' simple low level rule breaks such as unsolicited DM or friend requests. The moderation and administration teams display a profound level of apathy, bias, and lack of experience, actively enabling an unsafe environment where online predators, bad actors, and serial rule-breakers occupy their community spaces without repercussion.

When serious safety violations occur including verified harassment, doxing, and data privacy breaches staff resort to administrative deflection, gaslighting, and protecting repeat offenders under double standards, while systematically ignoring their own obligations and adherence as a corporate brand under the Terms of Service of the very platform they operate within.

Even more concerning, their internal handling of confidential user reports willingly breaches legal standards, including in my personal situation obligations under the UK Data Protection Act 2018 / UK GDPR and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, by improperly leaking private ticket data to accused parties. This is not to mention potential breaches of their own internal NDA's

When a brand running a highly intimate, sexualised ecosystem fails to enforce its own rules, protect its community members, or maintain basic legal and safety standards, it exposes its users to significant real-world harm, especially as some of that extends to vulnerable individuals who seek solace in these platforms to connect with others.

As someone that takes safeguarding seriously in a professional capacity, and given this and the continued poor management of the platform (witnessing daily occurrences of predatory and manipulate behaviours to name a few), I cannot in all good conscience recommend engaging with their official community platforms given these profound operational and safety failures and an inability by Moderators and Community Admins to keep the most exposed of us, safe.

To make matters worse when trying to raise these breaches of protocol, rules and legal standings via their general (email) support/or their other external channels e.g. Security/Data Privacy Teams or when escalated to executive management, this is also non-existent; receiving the same level of apathy and lack of acknowledgement or response. It is highly concerning that these platforms continue to operate and enable such life impacting behaviour and my only hope is that the Discord Trust and Safety team intervene and address the corporate deficiencies and safety issues, before such breaches are escalated to governing bodies such as the ICO in the UK as a globally operating platform, or as a company operating out of Singapore, the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) and/or the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Singapore. This is a company that makes statements that are not supported by the evidentiary behaviours which practically show that it seemingly does not care about the safety and wellbeing of their community

EDIT / Update to Position
Following escalation to corporate support and final (forced) closure of the complaint and while Lovense made some minor admissions, they also asserted via email on 28 August 2026 that rule enforcement had been re-assessed. However, timestamped server logs and public verification channels prove this claim is entirely false: in the specific case raised, the offender remains active and unpenalised on the server, and no public sanction record exists. This confirms systemic governance failures and data breaches remain uncorrected, proving Lovense prioritises institutional protection over community safety and leaving external regulatory escalation as the only recourse.

I would make the toys with a different type of silicone that wasn't so porous and wouldn't absorb odors.

I made the mistake of purchasing the vulse. You might as well grab a small robotic transformer because the noise it emits is abhorent. Not something you want to stick up your hooha. Also, the quality of the silicone is cheap. It leaves a white powdery residue.
They refused to take it back, because I opened the box and turned it on in the palm of my hand. It hasn't been used, but they still refused to take it back.
So it's going in the garbage. Time and money wasted.

I have had 3 Lovense Gushs,1 was the 1st Gush which died on me 4 months. The 2nd was Gush2 that one lasted exactly 1 month ,I did the warranty work on it and received a new one which ended up making it only a few months before that one died but thing is I not using it everyday sometimes not even a week so take that how you may,could only imagine if I did it wouldn't have lived a week. Terrible product. Will be looking elsewhere for other toys
