don't buy
don't buy, spent almost £200 on a pair of Renegade boots, little use over 2 years only to find tops split, edge of sole split and sole letting go, very disapointing as they look good shame about quality.

Lowa gtx boots very comfortable but the rubber came away. They sent me a new pair and the same thing as happened again expected years of wear for the price I paid but only lasted a month
I bought a pair of gtx boots
I bought a pair of gtx boots. Most comfortable shoes I ever had. I wore them 4 times and the rubber split apart on the sole. Not the sole of shoe coming off. Called lows they have a one year guarantee and because I couldn’t find my receipt they wouldn’t do anything exchange nothing and these shoes hadn’t been wore in the rain. Lows says six years on shoes somebody in lowa lied. Usually if I can’t find something good to say I just keep my mouth and opinion to myself but wearing 4 times for $260 is a little unfair. Shoes wear great very poor quality and customer service
women Lowa Renegade hiking boots
I have owned women Lowa Renegade mid hiking boots for over five years they have outperformed in comfort and durability any other boot I have had and I’ve tried several prior to buying the renegade I need a hiking boot which would fit a narrow foot It is very difficult to find hiking boots in narrow widths. The Lowa renegade comes in narrow. It has worked beautifully hiking up mountains New Hampshire as well as local trails. Lightweight and comfortable.

The soles and heels wore down 2 months after the guarantee ran out. Comfortable but really not worth the money.
Excellent boots
Excellent boots. Delighted with customer service.
I own Lowa Cadin, Explorer II and Camino Evo boots for hillwalking and mountain trekking every 2nd weekend. The Cadin are a great boot for Munro bagging. The Camino Evo is a long distance trekking boot and the Explorer is an A/B grade boot which can take rougher trails or some off trail use if necessary. I have worn Rangers in the past and they were great.
I have Lowa Amplux for trail running.
I'm my experience, all Lowa boots are well made but need to be worn and maintained, same as any other footwear made of leather and with PU soles. If you want to avoid issues with sole delamination then learn about hydrolysis. Don't store your boots wet, or in a humid location, wear them regularly and you should get years out of them, like I have.
I have found the UK customer service rep to be outstanding to deal with. I just can't relate to the negative reviews.
lowa amazing boots
lowa amazing boots, I work 12 hour shifts and do a lot of walking I wouldn't buy anything else,
Bought Lowa Renegade Low GTX in August…
Bought Lowa Renegade Low GTX in August 2022. Now September 2023 and the inner heel on both shoes has worn down to the undersole! Lowa simply refer you (after 12 month guarantee passes) to Lancashire Sport Shoe Repairs. Most comfortable shoes ever - but quality of sole is terrible. £99 minimum to repair! Will not buy Lowa products again.
Lowa sale big nothing.
Lowa is the company which sale nothing. No shoes, no refound. Do not bother.
Used to be good
Very comfortable shoes, used to be good brand, but unfortunately soles start delaminating after some use. I have 2 pairs still good looking shoes, that became useless only due to one flaw. Do not recommend buying.
I have 2 pairs of Lowa combat boots and…
I have 2 pairs of Lowa combat boots and both have soles that have delaminated rendering them useless! The tread on the soles is practically like new but literally falling off the boots!
Not a cheep or guaranteed repair!
Very very disappointed in Lowa which is supposed to be a quality product!
Great company and fantastic service
Great company and fantastic service. Thankyou!
Don't buy Lowa boots...competitors 's product are better.
I bought my Lowa boots 8 years ago and have done about 10 rides. The soles are delaminated today. My husband bought his Keen boots at the same time and he did the same hikes. The boots are still in perfect condition today. Lowa offered me to redo the sole for $200 + tx + transport!!! guess what i did.
Second pair of Lowa Renegade GTX boots…
Second pair of Lowa Renegade GTX boots where the Gortex has failed miserably. Wet feet suck when hiking and hunting and these boots leak. I sent them back to Lowa to see if they were still under warranty and I never heard from them. They just kept my boots and blew me off. Horrible customer service for a $400 pair of boots.
Cracking sole, not worthy of the boot
I buy combat boots in order to give me a dual purpose boot... motorcycle and hiking. I have a pair of Altberg weatherproof boots which I've had for 12yrs of winter walking and heavy duty hiking, and another pair of Altberg desert boots which I wear like slippers indoor/outdoor all day long during summer and for flat dry walks for the past 7 years.
18 months ago my winter Altbergs came to the end of their useful life (although they're still great for gardening) but there was a 3 month lead time on them, so I looked for an alternative and found the Lowa Combat GTX.
Comfy - very comfy and on a par with the Altbergs.
Quality uppers - again, real quality and look like the leatherwork should last for many years of service.
Soles - after just 18 months of "non-combat" use, which means one winter season walking and then just motorcycle use, one sole has cracked apart at the heel and the other one is starting to do the same. This isn't the sole coming away from the boot, but the sole itself developing a crack/split.
6 month warranty. Almost as much to resole as to buy new. Pointless looking for a solution
I'm completely put off Lowa.... premium brand prices let down by a sole that clearly is not up to spec. what a shame after the fine work they put into the uppers. Back to Altbergs for me.
LOWA Renegade ladies hiking boots heel on sole completely broken
I recently inherited a pair of ladies Lowa Renegade Goretex hiking boots. I wore them approx. 3 times since I got them. Yesterday I returned from an intermediate hike in Western Australia and both heels on the soles were falling apart meaning pieces actually fell out of the heel. I was devastated as I thought LOWA is a top brand. So very disappointed as one thing I liked about them was the comfort.
Lowa walking Boots.
Lowa walking Boots.
Absolutely shocked by the poor quality of these boots.
Bought for daughters D of E have covered less than 100 miles.
Cleaned them last week after a short muddy walk and found the soles had separated and the heel on one boot had almost completely come away.
Disappointing Lowa Mens Taurus II GoreTex Mid Boots
Really sad to say that after a year of wearing for dog walking only that stitches came undone and started leaking, what is worst to report is that having returned them for examination with the following response “ Unfortunately, we are unable to attribute the reported issue to any flaw in the construction, materials or design of the product.” if walking boots cannot last more than 1 year to walk a puppy on the flat then what are they good for. Disappointed with product and even more disappointed with response from “Snow & Rock” who seem to accept this poor durability as “normal” would not recommend either Lowa as a brand or Snow & Rock as a retailer.
Lowa Renegade II GTX Task Force High
Lowa Renegade II GTX Task Force High
Bought the boots in May 2021. They were very comfortable without need to break them in. After a month of light use (walking the dogs) they started leaking. Only in November I managed to get my money back. Quality is not there anymore. CS sucks as well.
Lowa Zephyr Mid GTX, Weak Sole
Lowa Zephyr Mid GTX: Comfortable and lightweight shoes. Well build upper part with natural materials, relatively breathable. The worst thing as many lowa shoes is the sole durability, which fell apart after not more than 30-40 times using during winter season, mostly in town. This is a shame for such expensive shoes, especially when the guarantee of 2 years just finished. Size to all Lowa's also goes one size smaller than standard
