STILL hounding me ....

Trying to collect a non existing debt - shame on you for harassing humans in what has been an incredibly tough period of time in many ways for so many people.

The o2 debt doesn’t exist .. shame on you and your horrible ways.

Threatening with calls and letters can have significant impact on people’s health. Have some decency.

EDIT - STILL hounding over phone and email ...everytime a message comes through it's very anxiety provoking as a. it doesn't exist b. you're harassing me

EDIT AGAIN 19/03 - after o2 taking full ownership of their error (this took my 4 hours to sort out) I'm now guess what STILL being hounded via email and letter... do better.

There was no need to ring me

I received a phone call a couple of weeks ago from, Lowells - saying there has been another mobile number added to my account - they said his name was called, Caine! The Customer. I asked why are they contacting me because I’ve gone through a bankruptcy and was dissolved 12 months later - in 2019 so I’m unsure why they have telephoned me!!

Ive sent a email to all of the email addresses on your business website you disgrace.

Ive sent a message to these email addresses investors (at) lowellgroup (dot) co (dot) uk lowell (at) montford (dot) london and talent (dash) acquisition (dot) UK (at) lowellgroup (dot) co (dot) uk. I got these emails from lowellbusiness (dot) co (dot) uk (forward slash) contact. Your complaint form only allows 500 characters I'm not pandering to your restrictions. So I sent a email stating if its not wiped by the 19th of January 2024 I will go to the ICO under the GDPR and the financial ombudsman as I have never had an account with BT PLC and I dont owe them £133.12 and you have frauduently obtained my DATA and threatened to send it on to a third party which is illegal use of my DATA!!! You have slanderously stated I have an account with BT PLC and owe them £133.12 which I dont and Im not doing your online chat as that means I have to sign up for a lowell account which I AM NOT DOING SO GET THAT STRAIGHT FOR A START!!! You have the mail to the above email addresses from me and you have till the 19th of January 2024 to remove all of my DATA and wipe this none existant ludicrous and fallacious bill you have sent me. This is all I have to say to you if it isn't sorted by the 19th of January 2024 you can expect to hear from the ICO under the GDPR and the financial ombudsman and a solicitor as I will be suing you.

You absolute disgrace.

I would give you minus 5 stars or minus a thousand stars you dont deserve to call yourself a company under company house you are a disgrace and get a life you sad individuals in a cost of living crisis you should be ashamed of your selves.

That is my final word on this you have till the 19th of January 2024 if it isnt sorted I am only contacting you through the above mentioned companies.

You horrible horrible people.

Phone call

I received a phone call today from lowells regarding ccj debts from around 2005 and 2009.The lady said I was still liable to pay these debts and they can be enforced even though I've heard nothing from any debtors for over 13 years I explained that these debts are now statute barred to which I was told there not. I then spoke to a supervisor (Nick7453) who confirmed these debts are not statute barred and still enforceable. He also notified me he would not stop contacting me by phone or in writing even though I've requested this on medical grounds. I've researched all sites regarding ccj's after 6 years. Can a debt be chased after 6 years?
The time limit is sometimes called the limitation period. For most debts, the time limit is 6 years since you last wrote to them or made a payment.

I have now requested lowell to prove that the debt is not statute barred and to cease contacting me by trying to enforce dated debt.I have also made a complaint and I'm awaiting the outcome. I will update later.
Thanks for your reply Ben, what more details do you require .
if you read the above..the supervisors name and extention no is there.

I have been harressed by email for months, email is addressed to someone that is not me. I get 2 emails sent with half an hr of eachother with the person's name spelt differently on each one with different reference numbers. Very suspicious. It is asking me to give them a call. I cannot email them back becuase it is a no reply email address and only contact details on their website is a phone number and address to send a written letter. I am certainly not ringing you up so you then have my details. I do have a common email address so the person in question may have done it in error but I am making this clear now, this is NOT ME. I do not have debt, I have never had debt. So under the GDPR rules, delete all my details immediately.

Inaccurate Information

Received an email from a no reply email with my name referencing a debt for a company I don’t even have any contracts with. The email also shows the company has a 5-star rating with TrustPilot which is clearly false. Called the number in the email (0333 556 5700) and spoke with a representative who asked for my name. I advised I did not want to give my name in case this was a scam. He said he could not proceed without security checks or I could communicate with them via email. I then asked for two seconds while I quickly look up the company. He asked if I was doing a search on Google to which I responded yes. He then promptly disconnected the call.

*** UPDATE 18-Dec-2023 ***
After the response from Lowell to this review, I tried calling back the number and spoke to another representative who stayed on the phone line this time. I provided only the information I saw they had from my email. It seems they do have a “debt” amount, but not one I agree I owed. That company was paid up and the balance they claimed I owed was very small (under £70) which they say I’ve owed for nearly 10 years but only now am getting contacted about. I asked for backup of the amount owed since it does not match my memory and they were unable to provide sufficient back up.

So, although the initial call made me believe this was a fraudulent company, perhaps they may be legitimate although in my case the “debt” is not. I’ve never had any debts so this experience was not nice. This could be an issue with the company they purchased the debt from though. In any event, based on today’s call I have changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because the representative did seem to be honest.

Hi Ash,

Our rating on Trustpilot is 4.2, not 5. This can be found by looking at the domain www.lowell.co.uk on Trustpilot.

If we are contacting you, it will be in relation to an outstanding debt. When you call our contact centre they are required to complete data protections checks with you. This is so they can complete security and ensure they're speaking to the correct person. If you pass security, we will be able to provide you with further details. If you do not, we would not be able to continue the conversation. For clarity the information we use to complete security checks are full name, first line of address, postcode and date of birth.

We're fully regulated by the FCA and ICO and we're dedicated to working with our customers, whatever the concern.

For further details regarding your account activity and to receive support, our team can be contacted on 0333 556 5552.

Kind regards,
Rebecca

EDIT 18/12
Hi Ash,
Thank you for providing the additional information. It looks as though you have just spoken with one of my colleagues who have resolved this for you.

Honestly awful to deal with

Honestly awful to deal with, they closed my accounts and wiped the balances but are still falsely reporting that I owe the full balance each month, I've gathered my evidence and will be reporting it to the ICO and Credit Reporting Agencies.

Edit: Rebecca, Lowell wiped the debt (Therefore nothing to pay!!) and closed both accounts therefore the balance is at zero.

Edit 14/12/2023 - Regardless. You are falsely reporting to the credit reporting agencys that I'm not paying a balance you wiped, your email also stated 'we will no longer be pursuing you for the accounts and the accounts shall not be passed on to any other company'

Edit 19/12/2023
So Lowell seems to think that my review isn't genuine, so I've provided Trustpilot with the proof that my accounts were closed and 'paid off'

Reply from Lowell Group

Hi EJM,
As per my response on your other reviews: I can see that we have clearly explained why the defaults are remaining. The accounts have been closed as a goodwill gesture due to your circumstances. This does not mean the debts are not valid and owed, it means as a business we're agreeing to no longer contact you to collect the balances.
As we have to accurately report how you have dealt with an account to the credit references agencies the defaults will remain. The only way to have the defaults updated as satisfied is by paying the balances. The defaults will remain for 6 years. If you are still unhappy with this outcome we are happy to reopen the accounts so you can make affordable repayments that will update your credit file. We are reporting correctly.
I can see that a complaint has been raised for you about this. If you wish to discuss this further, our team can be contacted on 0333 556 5552.
Kind regards,
Rebecca

EDIT 21/12:
Hi EJM,
That is correct, Lowell have agreed not to pursue the balances as a goodwill gesture. However, you are still liable for the full balances. Where an account is closed as a goodwill gesture & not by making payments, your credit file will not be updated. We are required by law to reflect on your credit file how you have handled the accounts. Therefore, it is updated this way to accurately reflect that you have not paid the account. This process also adheres to regulations.

If you are concerned about your credit file and do need this to be updated as satisfied then we can re-open the accounts and you can make affordable repayments. The only way to have the default satisfied is by paying the account.

We would be unable to continue correspondence via Trustpilot but you are welcome to get in touch on 0333 556 5552 to re-open the accounts if you require.

Kind regards,
Rebecca

2nd or 3rd review on these now and they…

2nd or 3rd review on these now and they are pisxxxx me off. FCA are now investigating these for wrongdoing not just for me but for alot of people and ive found out that the FCA are not happy atall with these bunch of txxxx. 3 phone calls ive had with the FCA and 2 phone calls with ICO over these and from what i can guess they are already under investigation all 3 lowells portfolio, Lowells portfolio 1 all going through enforcement action with the FCA were lowell solicitors claim they are regulated by the solicitors regulation authority and they are actually not, infact there not even qualified to act as solicitors as ive also spoke with the SRA and had deep conversations with them and they are not regulated to act as solicitors so they cannot call themselves solicitors they are just more qualified debt collectors that do all the paperwork for court but call themselves solicitors and they are not so its false advertisement and they should hang there head in shame.

This relates to a 02 debt that they are trying to collect but are having problems collecting as they cannot provide proof of debt, I put in a sars with these and they promised to give me this but they havent gave me anything atall, I asked for all the recordings between me and them and them and client, I asked for all emails between me and them and them and client ( 02 ) I asked for all letters between me and them and them and client and they cant provide, I asked them for All notices and default notices of the debt and they cant provide although they stated that they have emailed me these and posted them but they haven't and the reason being is because they cannot provide these as they don't have any notices to give. I've been told by 02 who i didn't owe even owe this and it was sent in error to lowell and they have asked them multiple times on 4 occasions now that the debt is not owed and for them to close the account down and remove the defaults but again they are not listening to even there client and it looks like 02 are removing them as there debt collection company now. FCA has just had short of 300 complaints about them and ICO just over 120, Check out Joanne Connelly solicitors they have won pretty much every case with these for debtors wrongfully accused by lowell to owing any debt.

5 complaints and 5 investigations later accounts still active and they are still chasing payment even though its not owed so ive referred my case to these solicitors who are now dealing with my case.

Check out the bills of exchange act 1882 section 23, Section 17 of the ICO act as they break every law for this section and much more.

They are trying to say that they have bought the debt under the law of property act 1925 under a NOA but funny this isn't it that they need to be qualified legally trained registered receiverships but there not so why are they buying debts when they are not legally qualified to do so?

To put it simply these are Fxxx tards that cant get anything right and just don't have the evidence to back this up so I've now started legal action which is pending through the courts but anyway these shower of txxx can go run and jump and I've also started harassment proceedings now as within 5 days they have called me over a debt that doesn't exist, sent me emails and sent me post for a debt that is not even owed as its been paid even before thee were involved so STOP Harassing me for money that's not even owed, Your clients even told you to shut down the account and remove the defaults but what do i get more harassment.

Sick to death of these scammers, My debt was bought for just less for both which i don't even owe this.

Do not pay these bullies

Pure harassment and bullying tactics, cannot provide the documents you ask for, physically and mentally disabled with lots of struggles and medication yet they completely ignore this and continue to harass and cause alarm and distress. CCJ removed by the judge in my favour, stop writing to me months later saying you have a ccj and I need to pay, you can’t even keep your records updated. One more letter or email and I have enough evidence for a harassment case agains these bullies.

Terrible people who harass you

I have been hounded by this company for a very long time for some debts that they bought for pennies, I asked for the DOA which they won’t provide so how do I know what the amount was bought for and they just want the full amount. I explained on a lot of emails that I sent them that I live off 4p a month by the time everything is paid yet they still harass for payments that I don’t have to give, I even explained where I was being harassed whilst in hospital due to my mental health took a tumble yet that’s all they wanted was letters but why should I need to show proof of my mental health when Lowell can’t provide proof of what they want. My mental health is still not good due to being a victim of vandalism to my property but still have letters now and again harassing for payments or to contact to arrange payment but I am just going to say this once more and hopefully being on here people will see how much of bullies these debt companies are, I don’t have any money to pay and won’t ever have money to pay so please leave me alone

I have sent details 2 or 3 times now, I will not be sending a contact number to be even more harassed. Email address is enough

Wrong person but still harassed.Despite my calling and telling them I…

Despite my calling and telling them I am not the person they are pursuing for debt or any relation and being reassured they would stop harassing me, they continue emailing me threatening me with legal action.
The emails make no provision to reply.

They have no regard whatsoever to the privacy of their victim, as I am regularly told exactly what is owed and to whom.

Surely it would not be impossible for a reputable company to find out the address of a person they hold information on, without resorting to hounding a stranger.

I would welcome someone in authority from the company contacting me to apologise and put a stop the threats.

Thank you Rebecca's for your reply.
I have tried to fill in your online form but am unable to as it requires me to provide information about the debter, such as date of birth and address, that I do not know - without which the form will not send.
I have no intention of 'signing up' either or providing my address I not wish to be receiving threatening letters or visits from bailiffs on account of someone else's debt.

Please remove my email address from your database. It has clearly been used fraudulently without my permission. Please stop emailing me and instead pursue the debtor.

Obtuse, Bully Boy Tactics - Don’t Fulfill Own Promises

I have been trying to get a reply to two Complaints - both for a person under 24/7 Care. The attatituse and obtuse nature of their tactics with this person is cruel, bullying & obscene. I made the CEO aware if all this - but things got worse. The issues relate to treating this person fairly & with appropriate care, but will not answer questions raised - in spite of promising replies in two dates this week - reneging in their own promises. Likewise a challenge in data being withheld - has no answer whatsoever.
