BE VERY CAREFUL BOOKING THIS PROPERTY…
BE VERY CAREFUL BOOKING THIS PROPERTY OR USING THIS AGENCY.
We paid approximately $2,000 in advance for a 10-day stay and even paid for an extra night so the apartment would be available when our flight arrived early in the morning.
Everything was confirmed. At 12:25 PM on August 28, we received a message saying: “Perfect, thank you for the update. Call me when you’re on your way.”
Then, at approximately 7:00 PM — FOUR HOURS AFTER the official 3:00 PM check-in time, while we were already flying to New York — our entire reservation was cancelled via a simpel email because the host said: “my new place is not ready and I still need to stay here.”
We landed the next morning to discover we had no accommodation for 10 days. No one answered our calls for hrs and then we got only texts repeating the same as email. We were forced to find another apartment at the last minute, at a much higher price and in a location we had not chosen. Because we could not access the replacement until 3:00 PM, we also missed the event that was the reason we had paid for the extra night.
We also discovered that the phone number provided for the “host” was the same number used by the agency, which raised serious concerns for us about who had actually been communicating with us.
Cancelling a fully paid and confirmed reservation after check-in time, when your guests are already traveling to the property, is unacceptable.
Based on our experience, I would not risk booking this property or using this agency.
