We came 2 adults and 2 kids to eat at the restaurant at the top floor. The place is nice and the serving was fine.
We chose the all you can eat 249kr pr adult and 125kr pr child.
Unfortunately this day, we couldnt really eat that much and hadnt ordered out of the ordinary, just soup, some starter dishes and for the main course a sushi plate and beef suey with rice.
When we where done, we asked if we could get the leftovers with us in a doggy bag. The staff insisted that we couldnt do that and wanted us to pay 100kr on top of the almost 1000kr it had already cost including drinks.
We refused ofcourse and got it settled, but that policy is rediculous, when the staff obviously could see that we had not tried to cheat by ordering huge amounts of food. We ordered actually under normal as we simply couldnt eat that much as we had thought. We still paid 1000kr for this so asking us to pay 100kr more is a space case and then just throwing the food out.
Fully understand that a restaurant needs to enforce some kind of protection against abuse, but it is clearly down to badly trained staff, when they are unable to understand the situation and make basic sober judgement. If we had ordered in excess it would be somewhat understandable, but staff making a scene when it is obvious that we had ordered under norm and still werent able to eat it all, is simply too stupid if you want customers to come back.
On top of this, the waitress actually started to try and lecture us on starving children in Africa, which is completely nonsense to going into towards a customer - its not a charity place, they are getting paid and we paid bloody 1000kr for this event.
So, 2 stars for bad staff ability to evaluate the situation and make the right decision. With the right decision made we would have come back to the place another time and spend money - now we wount.
