This was a nightmare from start to finish. First they questioned the space in the carrier for my dog. This carrier has been used for her travel many times. She is 5 kg, and the carrier is at the maxim... See more

Worst customer service…
Lufthansa I have been waiting since juli to recieve my refund.
I have talked with 8 different from customer service every time waiting at least an hour in line.
I talked with 3 different customer service at the airport of Munich and Frankfurt they all got my phone number. I have emailed at least 10-12 times with various of you colleagues.
It’s very frustrating, it’s very sad and its very humiliating.
Respect is the most important value in customer service. I am really shocked.
Next step will be to drag you to court as many others have done. Very disappointed

THIEVES WHO DO NOT REFUND TICKETS DUE…
THIEVES WHO DO NOT REFUND TICKETS DUE TO COVID. Now that the infections are rising and Germany is closing everything, I have decided to cancel the face. Obviously they do not refund anything. They are truly ridiculous.
Little more organisation needed.
Ive scored the airline 3stars, because our flights to and from Munich were on time and uneventful and I guess that's the main point.
BUT I needed to write a review because of the ridiculous badly managed boarding procedure at the checking in gate at Munich.
Covid has introduced many more requirements and document checks but Lufthansa staff refuse to acknowledge this it seems. They let all the plane passengers wait in check-in lounge as normal and allow exactly the same time to board even though there are 3 more documents to check for each passenger. They arrange a separate queue for Covid document checks but don't tell anyone. Result is confusion and unnecessary stress for passengers. Although I got there in plenty of time I ended up rushing onto airplane in a panic along with other passengers just as doors closing.
All of this could have been avoided with a little more organisation, communication and dare I say, intelligence, from the check in staff.
Covid has been around long enough now to stop being used as an excuse for bad service.
German professionnalism died with Covid-19
It is a terrible airline now....
We had a flight from Paris to Bogota with a connection in Frankfurt. The flight from Paris was late but we were told we didn't have to worry, our flight to Bogota was going to wait for us. Once we arrived in Frankfurt, we ran to the boarding gate. The plane was still there, but we couldn't go onboard. With the person from the boarding desk, we called the pilot several times, but he denied us our right to take our flight. So we had to see the plane take off without us.
That was only the beginning...
We were offered a new flight to Bogota the following night, with a connection at Sao Paulo. On a 10 days vacation in Colombia, we had already lost one day thanks to Lufthansa.
What's more, transit through Brazil requires a PCR test. We had to pay for it of course ! How much ? 250 euros ! Are they using gold swabs over there ?
Anyway, we asked for an invoice for this test. We were told to send an email because this was their way to do it.
Here is their answer:
"Thank you for your request to medizin[at]fraport.de. We are currently facing an increased volume of inquiries. We therefore ask for your patience.
Below you will find answers to typical inquiries. In these cases we do not provide an individual answer and ask for your understanding.
[...]
Please refrain from phone calls to our medical center.
Thank you for your understanding."
Well, please give me my invoice, or is it too difficult with Covid-19 to do your job ?
You might think I’m too hard on them. And you are right : Lufthansa gave us a 10 euros voucher for the 3 meals until the flight, how generous ! We were happy to buy one sandwich giving the airport prices thanks to this voucher.
Know your rights. The european law (Number 261/2004 of 11 February of 2004, Judgment of the CJEC of 15 November 2001 (case C49/00) and judgement of the CJEC of 23 October 2012 (cases C-581/10 and C-629/10) states that an european airline is entitled to pay a lump-sum of 600€ for a delay > 6h and to refund the extra money you had to pay for the trip (including PCR test…).
So I sent them an email to get my money back. Once again, I got an automatic answer : « We ask for your understanding that responses are currently delayed due to the extraordinarily high volume of incoming inquiries. You can support us by refraining from further inquiries. »
Whatever is happening, it is because of the pandemia. This is the perfect excuse for companies. The customer shouldn’t complain to pay for Lutfhansa’s errors. He shouldn’t ask for invoices. He shouldn’t send mails, he shouldn’t call. But he should pay. Brave new world, according to Lufthansa.
I’m studying medicine, imagine, just imagine if we had the same behaviour at hospital.
"Thank you for your request to Hôpital Cochin. We are currently facing an increased volume of patients. We therefore ask for your patience. Below you will find answers to typical injuries. In these cases we do not provide an individual examination and ask for your understanding.
Please refrain from going to our hospital.
Thank you for your understanding."
We will fight. I can guarantee you they are going to give me my money back, even if I had to go to the European court.
My 2 cents : if you don’t want to lose your time, money, and hope in humanity, avoid this company at all costs.
NO moral!
NO moral!
What a fantastic company.
Now where we almost can't go airborne, and don't have our focus on airline companies, they sneak away our bonus points, earning big money on Corona that way.
NO moral and empathy!

I had flights booked for Italy for the 2020 six nations in Rome 13th march 2020 when Italy went into covid lock down so was unable to go tried over and over again to contact them but for a refund no reply
that's the last time i will be using Lufthansa
Blatant Liars. Zero Customer Regard.
We booked a ticket from Manchester to Strasbourg via Frankfurt.
We were told our luggage would be delivered to the Air Rail Terminal in FRA.
When we were arrived our luggage was nowhere to be found. We we received no assistance at all from the Lufthansa ground crew. I should point out that my partner was pregnant at the time, and the ordeal was very stressful for her. This solicited no sympathy from the Lufthansa ground crew.
Eventually we had to avail ourselves to the services of a Turkish Airline employee to find our baggage from a Lufthansa flight. We are indebted to this individual.
When we did retrieve our luggage, we had by then missed our connection.
We sought out the Lufthansa Customer Service desk, and presented them with our predicament.
They suggested either making our own way to Strasbourg, and be reimbursed later on by Lufthansa, or to travel tomorrow.
We opted for the second option since by that time my partner was not in a state to travel further.
Lufthansa however refused to put us up for the night, absolving themselves of responsibility by blaming the Airport Staff.
It should be pointed out that Lufthansa themselves directed us to the wrong place, despite being fully aware of the true baggage drop off point.
Left with no choice we took the first option.
When we arrived at Strasbourg, and initiated the claim for reimbursement, we received a galling denial from Lufthansa.
We submitted to an arbitrator who awarded us 80 percent of our claim.
However Lufthansa now refuse to accept his resolution.
I had 5 longhaul itineraries booked…
I had 5 longhaul itineraries booked with Lufthansa before the coronavirus started. They were spread out over more than one year, the first being in March 2020 and the last being January 2021. They were booked a year ahead and they were obviously paid for in full because there is no other way to book flights as an independent traveller.
My flights in March were cancelled and Lufthansa finally refunded my money in September after multiple attempts at communication on line and via the internet. Lufthansa internet system blocks you from cancelling flights for a refund and they will not begin to refund you penalty free until days before the flight even where they have publicly announced the flights are cancelled. They also maintain flights on screen at the various airports until days before the scheduled departure even though they clearly intend to cancel the flights. These measures effectively mean that Lufthansa is holding my money to fund their operations while they have no intention of providing the service that I booked and paid for more than a year before. They blatently ignore the laws regarding refunds for flights they cancel and they ignore all complaints sent by whatever means.
My second flights were scheduled to be in June, Lufthansa contacted me by telephone 7 days before the flight schedule to cancel and said they would take months to process the refund. I was pushed hard to accept a rebooking date in the future. My next flights are in November (India), December (Kuala Lumpur) and January (India), the first 2 flights have been removed from Lufthansa's schedule but they have not informed me or given any route to apply for a penalty free cancellation, the final flight is never going to happen as India will not be safe to visit until a vaccine is freely available some time much later in 2021. Lufthansa hold thousands of pounds of my money, they have no intention or capability to deliver the services that I booked and paid for over a year ago and they break the terms of their aviation licence to operate within Europe every time they delay a full refund. Obviously I will get my money back in the end, even if it means that Lufthansa goes bankrupt. However, I find it particularly galling that the management and shareholders of these giant companies continue to profit from the reputation that travellers like us paid for with our hard earned money.
Bad customer service
I got an email with a voucher code from my travel agent, in connection to my cancelled trip because of CoVid-19. But there's no way that the code works when I tried to book a flight via lufthansa website.
I tried to contact (by sending email) lufthansa customer relations, referring to the problem of booking a ticket with a voucher code, but until now, I never get any reply.
I understand the bulk or loads of work pressing the staff working on customer service, but it's already more than a month ago since I made the contact.
IF, I will never ever get a reply or feedback regarding this matter, I will try to avoid flying Lufthansa in my future travels.
Disgraceful service from Lufthansa.
Had a flight booked from Washington to Heathrow for 24th March 2020, flight cost £1107.00, due to Covid 19 the flights to and from the US were cancelled. The outbound flight with American airlines (17th March), was refunded within a couple of weeks, still not able to get a refund from Lufthansa for the return flight. Have contacted the UK customer service but they will not give me any help or assistance as the booking was made with Expedia, as was the American airlines flight. It is now 24th June and Expedia are still not getting any assistance from Lufthansa. This level of service is a disgrace, the pandemic was not anyone's fault but airlines should assisting customers more if they want to get business in the future.
