I am an Italian landscape and fine-art photographer/artist based in Iceland. I started taking photographs when I was 17 but at that time my main passion was music. I played drums for 30 years then, tired of that work environment, I detached myself and little by little the passion for photography prevailed. After trying different photographic genres, I specialized in landscape leaving aside all the others because it was the photography that excited me (and still excites me) the most. I came on holiday in Iceland for the first time about 20 years ago. I was enchanted by the landscape, totally different from the Italian one. At that time it was much wilder, few tourists, no queues of cars to get out from the capital. I visited the typical places of the golden circle, Geysir, Gullfoss and Thingvellir National Park. I traveled a part of the south, such as the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss and Svartifoss up to the lagoons Fjallsárlón and Jökulsárlón in Vatnajökull National Park and the diamond beach on the opposite side of the road. The black sand beaches of Reynisfjara and Reynisdrangar near Vík í Mýrdal. The following year I came back again and visited the north. Mývatn Lake, near Akureyri, the so-called capital of the north, the wonderful semi-circular waterfall Goðafoss, the sulfurous area of Hverir, where I thought I was on Mars because of its colors and the conformation of the land. On that occasion I was lucky enough to see for the first time a northern lights dancing in the sky! It was wonderful. On March 2018 I moved to Iceland, to photograph the wonderful landscape of the “Land of Ice and Fire”. My goal is to help people fall in love with the places I visit, sharing my passion and vision for photography. I love nature for the sense of freedom and inner peace it gives me. And this provokes in me the need to stop it in a frame and try to instill in people who look my images a sense of respect and protection for the nature that sorrounds us. I don't photograph nature, I listen it, I breathe it, and I let it speak through my light. My Creative Art merges with nature and this... because everything I see transmits me an idyllic and heavenly peace and serenity. If you know these feelings then my art is for you!
