Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 62 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers found the product ineffective, noting it often failed to control odor for the advertised duration, sometimes lasting only a few hours or even causing a worse smell. A significant number of people also experienced adverse reactions, including rashes, burning sensations, and irritated skin. The price was a common point of dissatisfaction, with many feeling the product was overpriced given its poor performance and lack of value for money. Additionally, several customers encountered issues with the product's packaging and dispensing mechanisms, particularly with spray deodorants that either wouldn't spray, leaked, or broke after minimal use. However, some people also felt that certain Lume products, like the cleansing bar or specific cream formulations, were effective for odor control and improved skin texture, despite the higher cost.

It works for 24 hours, only when you just get out of the shower. It's doesn't smell good so I buy unscented. It's a waste of money now. Having to use it every day, I may as well use my regular deodora... See more

Please have the owner of this company…

Please have the owner of this company stop doing Lume advertisements. SOOOOO ANNOYING. I'm tired of pressing the mute button with all the constant commercials. I challenge her to get through a presentation without using the words STINK, PITS, BUTT CRACK, UNDERBOOBS. Very off-putting. I do not need a reply.

This stuff actually stinks

I ordered a starter pack a few months ago and decided not to buy it again. I actually start smelling like I haven’t showered by the end of the day. The smell doesn’t hold up and the tangerine scented invisible cream smells like vomit and the vomit smell doesn’t fade or go away. The body wash didn’t smell bad, but I definitely don’t smell good after a short period of time. No way would I try to keep it for the 72 hours this company says it lasts. I smell worse after using it although I’ve showered.

OMG ! Smells really "off"

OMG, the deodorant just smells wrong ! I first ordered the powder scent, but that was very bad-smellng. I gave it another try and bought the unscented. And that was awful smelling as well. So I ask you; How could both smells BE so bad ! I will just stick with my lovely Secret~ Powder Fresh Deodorant.

I wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing. The smell of this stuff is much worse than body odor. The smell was nauseating. I was expecting something pleasant. The commercials didn’t offend me but the smell of Lume sure did!!

I was anxious to receive this product

I was anxious to receive this product, I ordered the trial size. I used the product for a few days and started to experience a rash in my armpits and groin area. It’s bright red!!!!
I would not recommend using it.

I bought the starter pack $40 delivered. I used for the first time today and had hot flashes all day long. I have an ammonia smell as well. I think this product maybe doesn’t mesh well with my hormones. Probably will gift this pack to my non hysterectomy under 50 friends.

Well honestly

Well honestly, never tried it. I don't want to either. The reason for my review is the commercials. They are the most disgusting commercials I ever seen. Everytime she comes on the TV, I have to leave the room. Darn, she was just on again. I don't want to hear about butt cracks n under boobs. Just disgusting!!!!

Lume company too expensive for amount of product

I feel the Lume company is trying to take advantage of people financially.
I do like the tubes for provate areas. I can't live without it. I like the flower and lavender sents.
I just find them so expensive for such a small tube ! Went to Target to buy a tube and it cost me a about 14.00.
If I order this online it will raise me to 30.00 ! I feel the lume company is only trying to rob people fiancially of their product. And, NO it does not last 72 hours. Not that I've waited that long. Didn't have to when I realized I didn't smell fresh waking up the next morning. Just so sad it has to be so expensive. There is truly no reason for it. Eventually I will find something different to work with. I know Lume is not the only natural company to help with odor issues.

I have been trying to cancel my order.

I have been trying to cancel my subscription with Lumi for over a year now. Not sure why none of my emails are ever answered, but they don’t care if I write a negative review I guess.
So I called my credit card company for a full refund, I won’t be trying to get ahold of you again, at this point I will be contacting my CCC every time you take my money, you no longer have permission to automatically take money from me, I don’t want your damn product anymore. Are you hearing this Lumi? Do you even care?

I just found the most amazing product that works better then expected as a deodorant, but it’s technically not deodorant. It’s liquid grapefruit seed extract GSE. It doesn’t have any smell, unlike Lumi that stinks like I don’t know what, and GSE lasts so much longer then Lumi with absolutely no Body Odor, It’s amazing and a complete fluke I discovered it as a deodorant.

I just got my order of Lume which has a…

I just got my order of Lume which has a few products. So far I’ve tried the invisible cream soft powder scent. As soon as I opened the cream I got a whiff of something that wasn’t soft powder when I looked at ingredients saw Mandelic acid as the second ingredient, not sure why it’s in a deodorant product but it is used in skin care. The smell of the mandelic acid did pass once it dried on the skin and I didn’t notice it while wearing the product. Went to the gym and post work out no odor. Purposely did not take a shower and went to bed( I usually hot flash through the night and in the morning I’m usually very ripe with odor in all areas) upon waking. No odor. So far I’m very happy with this product. I gave it 4 stars because of the mandelic acid odor which as I stated does disappear once product is applied and dry on skin(invisible cream). I could see how this could influence people to not want to use the product. I read many reviews from influencers and they mention the coconut oil, castor oil etc but no mention of mandalic acid which is the second ingredient meaning right after water it’s the most abundant ingredient . I have sensitive skin and had no problem with it but if someone is known to have sensitive skin then they should know to do a patch test before trying a new product.

Product doesn’t work

Product doesn’t work. It was such a waste of money since it costs more than the average deodorant. They need to remove the commercials and take the product off the shelves or tell the truth it doesn’t work.

Greasy mess

Greasy mess. I bought the stick deodorant and it was so greasy I had to wipe it all (or as much as I could) off. There is no way it could not leave grease mark on your clothes. Total waste of money.
And, when I tried to post my review on their website, it would not let me. Tells me they don't allow negative reviews.
