ZERO COMMUNICATION

I have favored Lupine dog collars and leashes of various styles for decades having had up to (9) "rescue" dogs. I may have returned up to (2) dog leashes over that period of time for replacement due to either a faulty metal snap that failed prematurely, or a specific defect in the leash itself. Recently, I decided to U.S.P.S. Priority Mail back to Lupine's P.O.Box (1) 1" x 6' Basic Red Dog Leash for inspection due to unusual nylon fraying on the edges. After approximately (2) weeks, I decided to e-mail Lupine concerning the dog leash I had mailed to them. I have received zero communication up to this date. No simple e-mail and/or telephone response from Lupine, nor have I received a replacement dog leash as per their "lifetime" guarantee. I am through with Lupine. I ended up replacing that single ply nylon "light-duty" red dog leash with a far superior two-ply dog leash manufactured by Coastal, and I haven't looked back since. I still say overall that Lupine does make some nice products, but their total lack of communication especially to a loyal repeat customer with a legitimate quality control "issue" is disconcerting, as well as disappointing. Lupine should understand that there are other numerous manufacturers of pet products that actually equal, or in some instances surpass theirs. I found that Coastal is one of them. My message now to Lupine is to keep the defective dog leash since it has already been replaced with a much better quality one from one of their competitors.

I WOULD give them Zero stars if I could, they claim that they replace their products due to chewing or ripping. They lie, they try to claim that they already replaced your leach from like 8 years ago??!! Yeah right who’s leach lasts that long not mine. New ones were purchased and they refuse to replace them

I have bought over 20 collars and…

I have bought over 20 collars and leashes over the past 6 years and they have been fabulous. Had to return 3 my dog chewed rhrough and they replaced them all
Free of charge. I am shocked at alot
If the reviews because I have had nothing but a great experience! Just ordered 4 more collars and 4 more leashes today! ( we change they frequently with the seasons!🥰

I am a retailer who has been selling…

I am a retailer who has been selling Lupine products for 12 years. I submit damaged products to Lupine for credit about once a year. Because of this I did not know there was a change in policy and now it is the customers responsibility to return them. I have about 35 damaged products that I have returned for customers and gave them replacements. Lupine will not credit me. I'm not sure why because I did purchase them and would just like replacements. I would think that after selling their products and boasting how they are a local business to boost the sales of them that they would honor my request. They can see in my history that I only request credit once a year to save time on their end and mine. I'm very disappointed in this and am very sorry I ever recommended your products. I will have to stop selling them and will pass this along to all of my customers. I think you are not the good company you claim to be and do not care about other small businesses that have been supporting you for over a decade. 🤬

Reliable, Durable, Attractive w Excellent Service

Have used Lupine products for years. Their customer service is stellar in every situation, and the product-replacement guarantee is always honored, with a very fast replacement service.
Their products are incredibly durable, so with 20 dogs (ranging from 3lbs to 120lbs in size) over 17 years, we've only ever had to replace 4 puppy-chewed products.

Beware of the step-in dog harness

Beware of the step-in dog harness. If they're too loose they will back out of it if it's too tight your dog will get massive chafing on their armpits so there's no happy medium with this dog harness. I called the company just to let them know that they need to put some comfort into their harnesses for their dogs because it's just not comfortable for a dog to be so chafed.

I really wanted to like this company

I really wanted to like this company. The website with it's guarantee made everything sound so good. However once I received the collars I realized they were not as compatible with my Dog Guard electronic fence device as stated. I spoke to a representative about a refund and was told they do not give refunds. They would be happy to replace. I explained that a replacement for a collar that won't work with what I have is not useful and was told that is all they could do. So now I am out almost $40 because I bought 2 collars for my 2 dogs.

After years of loyalty to your brand

After years of loyalty to your brand, I purchased two sets of collars and leashes for my dogs. Previously, I used Lupine for my two dogs, who lived to be 16 years old, and I consistently bought them new sets for their birthdays or Christmas each year, for no other reason than to give them a new pattern/color, and then I would donate the old sets. I have remained a devoted Lupine customer for several compelling reasons: the extensive variety of colors and patterns, the strong warranty, and, most importantly, the exceptional quality of your products as a local company.

After welcoming two Chocolate Labs into our family, a friend generously lent us some harnesses from her late dog, including an EZdog harness with a handle. Although I noticed your harnesses don't come with a handle, I confidently chose to stick with Lupine because of my past positive experiences. As someone in my sixties, I found a handle quite beneficial.

However, after receiving the new sets, one of my 11-month-old puppies chewed through the harness while I was outside tending to my flower bed. I visited your factory to request a replacement and to explore the possibility of having a handle sewn onto it. To my disappointment, I encountered an unprofessional attitude from staff (not from the front, who were nice; it came from someone in the back) who informed me that I couldn't receive a refund or replacement because I had placed the collars and leashes in the same bag, and alterations were not allowed.

I left feeling undervalued and disrespected by this interaction. While I understand the importance of the products being in the same bag and hygiene when it comes to dog products, the lack of customer service has led me to reconsider my relationship with Lupine. I left feeling disappointed and disrespected by the treatment I received; the lack of customer service ultimately led me to sever my ties with Lupine.

Decent Harness, But Frustrating Customer Service

The roman harness is simple, allows free movement, and has a front clip—though it doesn’t really help with pulling unless paired with controlled training. The material wore down quickly after minimal nibbling, showing more damage in a month than another harness I’ve had for six. The buckle is also tough to release in cold weather.

The real issue was customer service. When I reported these problems, they refused to accept a video and insisted I pay to ship the harness for inspection—a waste of time and money. I had to wait for it to degrade further, send more photos, and only then was I given a replacement. While the lifetime guarantee sounds nice, their rigid policy and lack of flexibility make it frustrating. I’d rather buy a higher-quality product that lasts.

Avoid this company (Lupine)

Avoid this company (Lupine). I purchased a harness that I tried to put on my dog ONE time and took off immediately. Paid $8 to ship it back expecting to receive a refund or at least company credit as it was still in brand new condition with tag on. Customer service (Erin Russell) said "they found a raise in the fabric" and could not offer a refund/exchange.

Went back and forth a bit, and even spoke with a manager (Michelle Kidder) all for nothing. No flexibility whatsoever on a product that was tried on ONCE. Not sure how Lupine expects to get repeat customers with such an inflexible policy on products you cannot try in "in store".

Will not purchase form again, and I recommend you avoid Lupine as well.

One star, because less is not allowed

Probably people should read the reviews of this company before buying something...

We bought one harness for one of our cats, all good; we bought a second one for another cat and it was too small, we couldn't even lock it, so we sent it back, still with its label on, totally unused and paying for the shipping - a few days later the harness came back with a letter saying they couldn't accept the return it as it was "used".
We contacted the customer service and they were very rude, they showed us a photo of a harness with some hair on it, saying we returned a used harness covered in hair - the one they sent back to us is basically hair free but they won't accept it back, their final line is that they can't sell our return and won't accept it, their guarantee policy is a plain lie.

Lupine Dog Collars Bogus Return Policy

After reading other reviews I see that I am not the only Lupine customer who has experienced the bogus return policy of the Lupine Company. I was a Lupine customer for many years. I have made many purchases from Lupine and never experienced the occasion to request a return. Most recently I purchased two sets of harnesses and leashes for my dogs. One was a replacement for an old and worn set. When I received it, I removed the tags and fitted the harness to my dog. She never had a chance to wear it as my husband hated the pattern I had chosen. I ordered a separate set and contacted Lupine concerning a return of the original set. I was told, “Sure you can return it, even if the tags have been removed and if your dog has worn it around the house a little.” I returned the set and never heard from Lupine concerning the return, so I called to check on my refund. I was told that the brand-new set I returned was used and dirty and that because they had to protect their other customers, I would not be receiving a refund. On top of that insult, they offered me a onetime 25% discount. Due to their bogus return policy and extremely poor customer service Lupine has lost a good, longtime customer.

I have purchased 1000's of their products & NEVER AGAIN! their "LIFETIME Warranty" is BOGUS

I have purchased Lupine Products by the 1000's since 1992, as an owner, as a veterinarian and as a farmer. All my sheep wear these collars. All my companion animals wear these collars or harnesses and use these leads. ALL of them...my dogs, cats, sheep and goats!! I gift these collars, I have 100's of their key chains, every one of the animals I rescue/rehabilitate and rehome gets a new Lupine collar/harness and lead. I have gotten many clinics to CARRY Lupine,I have promoted them to my clients for my entire veterinary career. I have sung praises of their "lifetime warranty"... I am so sad to know it has all been a LIE. I have had to replace 3 collars and a lead after one blue heeler came into my life. he has removed collars WHILE my other pets were wearing them. I waited to return them until AFTER we had gotten through his chewing phase.... WELL, the WARRANTY IS JUNK! it's only great if you never have to ASK THEM TO PUT THEIR MONEY WHERE THEIR MOUTHS ARE! it's a WORTHLESS GIMIC used to dupe me into promoting their collars WITHOUT PROFIT or PERSONAL gain... and after returning a few of the 1000's of items I have purchased... they have decided that the WARRANTY and REASON I BOUGHT their items is NULL and VOID on ALL OTHER ITEMS I OWN. The company is JUNK. Their supposed warranty is a GIMMICK CATCH PHRASE to help sell their product. They have NO INTENTION of replacing more than ONE ITEM YOU PURCHASE for your entire life. Then their returns lady Jen likes to tell you to "watch some videos on training your dogs"... boy howdy have I got some videos of training the 12 blue heelers and the border collies, german shepherds and other dogs I share my life with... pwerhaps she needs to watch them. THE COMPANY HAS GONE DOWN HILL, DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

Be careful when dealing with Lupine Pet!!!!

I recently ordered a harness for my dog. The harness was flimsy and difficult to put on my dog. Believing in their "money-back-guarantee", I returned the harness for a full refund.
Lupine Pet is refusing to give me a full refund because they claim it was damaged and dirty. I NEVER took my dog outside with the harness. She was too agitated having it on. Yet they claim it was used.
Do not believe when they promise a money-back-guarantee (even if chewed!). They are liars and very bad company to do business with!

The Same thing everytime.

The Same thing everytime.. I have sent emails asking, when are they going to bring back the Peace Sign on their Dog Products.. I have NEVER received a response.. The Peace Sign is EXTREMELY Popular and I cannot get an answer as to why they are not making them or when they will.. Simple question....
