Worst online shopping experience I've…

Worst online shopping experience I've ever had! bought two guitar pedals and both came faulty (With one I suspect being B-stock even when I went out of my way not to buy used equipment)! Customer service is terrible and they never reply to emails unless you repetitively press them for it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF YOURE OUTSIDE GERMANY.

Genuine company, fabulous customer service, decent quality

I'm surprised to read such poor reviews that came before me. I have had nothing but good experiences with Thomann. They shipped my order with DHL which came with tracking etc so that was all great and as expected.

Main Product:
I bought a Harley Benton for £160 and it was of superb quality and honestly couldn't fault it at all at that price point. You could say it's similar to Epiphone quality but significantly cheaper.

Thomann was good, gave me a tracking number, updates etc and when the item was held back due to their supplier issues, they kept me in the loop. Delayed only by 2-3 weeks anyway. They also arranged a split shipment for no extra charge as not all products were in stock.

Other products:
Their guitar stand was brilliant. Best I've had AND cheapest. Their tuner works as usual, nothing special but was very good value. Guitar leads and gig bag was of high quality and as expected. Nothing too special but solid quality which I'm very happy with as the pricing was brilliant.

Bought a stratocaster for xmas from…

Bought a stratocaster for xmas from Thomann.Big mistake.Someone had written Not for sale on the back in indellible ink.When I looked closely the paint had been applied badly in some places and it got sent out despite failing an inspection.I rang a guy who did not want to know.and e mailed.They want me to print out the labels , and then find a DHS depot.I have no printer and mobility issues.I will end up keeping a sub standard guitar.My advice STAY AWAY

Don’t buy outside the EU

If you are outside the EU don’t buy from them. You will have to buy an expensive return for products you can’t try before buying. The only way you can base your view on a product like this is with the reviews but Thomann filter reviews and can dismiss them as they please. Also if you returned a product prior to writing a review you won’t be allowed . So you can imagine that mostly good reviews are published as unhappy customers can’t review. It is honestly borderline a scam to sell products that way. When you make a complain they accused me of not listening rather than them listening to my points.
Don’t buy from them it is not worth it .

I ordered a Harley Benton TE-62CC SFG

I ordered a Harley Benton TE-62CC SFG, T Style on Dec 13, 2021 in the afternoon US Time. The guitar was delivered to my home in Chicago on Saturday Dec. 18 before noon. I am blown away by the price, delivery time and the Form, fit and finish of this low cost guitar. The sound coming from this guitar rivals mt Fender Strat. I own 9 guitars, the play ability and set up of the neck are astounding. I highly recommend these guys. Vielen Dank fuer dieses ausgezeichnetes Instrument. Qualitaet fuer den niedrigen preis is sagenhaft. Die letzten 6 Ziffern meiner Bestellung sind .944969. Ich bestelle in kuerze noch ein instrument. Patrick O'Brien(South Elgin, IL, USA)

AVIOD... SCAM ARTISTS

At least you lot got something...My money and my order have disappeared.. On Line chat is useless, David Barron.. emailing them is a waste of time, they haven't returned my email... I have no receipt, no confirmation, no order number..nothing.... They did manage to grab my money first from the bank account, and thank God I have the on-line statment to prove it ... It will be the authorities next if I get nothing. AVIOD this company.

Really great service all round

Strange to see all these negative reviews for Thomann - the site itself is great and very easy to use - unlike most music sites in the they have a decent set of (occasionally hilarious) translatable reviews for most products which is helpful, and the site shows related / bought by others in an easy to consume fashion.

Buying from them has never presented me with any issues - the prices vs UK stores are fantastic, shipping is prompt with full confirmation and tracking provided. They have also been very helpful and responsive with enquires I’ve made, as a salesperson is attached to every order which makes it easy to enquire.

The product ranges stocked are huge and all keenly priced.

What’s not to love. For reference I’ve bought several Sax mouthpieces for all sizes of instrument and all goods have been amazing.

Ordered three items for delivery to the…

Ordered three items for delivery to the UK. Arrived in 4 working days. Supplied with euro 2 pin power supplies with ugly UK adaptors and be aware that they'll charge you a minimum of £18 if you want to return anything from the UK. For these reasons I'll buy from UK shops in future.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. They sent me a broken guitar, replied to barely any of my emails, eventually replied telling me to take it to a guitar shop to get them to fix it. They did not reply from then onwards, not even an apology for the major inconvenience. They are a bunch of frauds who I wouldn’t trust with another order ever again.

Waited 4 months for items only to find…

Waited 4 months for items only to find broken and/ or wrong items now battling for £39 refund not recommended as they are in Germany and trying to talk to someone is going to cost trying to call. I know!
Bad attitude and “ The customer is always right” ends at any UK runway or the channel tunnel. If you want to keep your hard earned money stay well clear.

They took payment but didn't process the order

I ordered an acoustic amp, a classical guitar and a few packs of strings - paid via credit card in order to get buyer's protection. The payment went through and is already showing on my card's account but thomann's website didn't actually process the order - so no confirmation and all of the items are still in the virtual basket. I emailed them and requested a read receipt - so I know they got and read the email but no reply. So I phoned and was told that they are "having problems" with credit card payments not being correctly processed - it apparently never occurred to them to just stop taking credit card payments whilst that is sorted out. I now have to wait - the person I spoke to promised they'd contact me tomorrow to confirm that the payment has been cancelled. The annoyance is that with that payment now pending on my card, my available balance is reduced so even if I eventually get the payment stopped, I'm now basically unable to buy anything else. No idea why they couldn't just complete the order given that they have the payment - very odd that they can't simply process it manually when they make such a big point of boasting that all orders ARE manually processed. Very strange. I can only hope that they sort this quickly and I can re-order the items as they are meant to be birthday presents. Not impressed by them not replying to the email. Certainly not happy at what is clearly a poor excuse - blame it on the computer system that they claim to know is not working but are still using - at my expense. Will have to wait and see if they do contact me - I suspect I'll end up having to deal with the credit card company and will be out of pocket.

Worst customer service I have ever met

I bought their Behringer System 100 bundle and the VCA didn’t work. I was asked to send it all back and then I got it back with the exact same problem. They then asked me to return only the VCA which I pointed out might be a bad idea, that they should instead check the whole bundle but no. So after a few weeks I got a new VCA which didn’t work either. Same problem. I asked Thomann why they wouldn’t take it all back, test it all and then send me a functioning bundle but was instead asked to send back only the VCA, the second one. And I was told they can’t check all things like that. A few weeks later I received a third VCA which, of course, was not working either. Same problem. So when I contacted Thomann again they gave me a much shorter answer, “our only solution to this issue is that you send the bundle back for a refund”. Is this I joke? Their solution is no solution. It ends up with two months of nothing but trouble, carrying, picking up, receiving, buy package equipment and pack things over and over and the result is nothing. Their short “copy-paste” answers about their aim to please every customer means nothing. I mean nothing to them. I’ve spent so much money on Thomann but when it failed it became clear what they really are, a huge company that does not care about one customer more or less. Beware of this before you buy from Thomann. As long as you just get your things you’re fine. But if problems appear you are in for a horrible treatment.
And I’d guess that if any one on Thomann ever read this they’ll “copy-paste” another useless reply. Don’t use this company. There are others way more reliable. I myself will never buy anything from Thomann ever again.

Don't bother with this company you…

Don't bother with this company you might get it slightly cheaper but customer service is appalling They do not have customers in mind, my item got lost well yes its the crappy couriers fault but this is their choice who they work with but basically even though I spoke to the courier who admitted it was lost thomann would not send another or refund until they heard from the crappy courier DHL they use. So in limbo cant get my item i paid for and can't get another sent been waiting now 16 days

Not too sure I would call them a scam…

Not too sure I would call them a scam company as I've received everything I ordered from them. I would say possibly don't order what's not in stock. They are cheaper then most stockist, this comes at a cost of slow delivery. I would also order via PayPal for protection.

Rubbish service

Rubbish service. Ordered a synth, no problems, then I got an email stating that my amex card did not authorise and to make a new order. Proceeded to complete a second order, credit card authorised ok, and received another email telling me that my amex card did not authorise and to proceed paying by bank transfer. Spoke to my credit card an confirmed both orders had been authorised without issues. Called Thomann on the phone and they had no records of authorising my card successfully. So cancelled order and still waiting for both amounts to be de-authorised from my card. Will not purchase from Thomann ever again

Terrible experience

Terrible experience - they inform you about additional charges just after you already payed for the order.
Even if you stop money to be taken from the bank - and they confirm cancelation, they send it to you anyway.
Just after a long time they demanding payment including additional charges like an interests and stuff.
They send the annoying letters with treats and the people who are trespassing and knock your door at the evening and morning but they never there if you
ask: "who is this?"
AVOID! MAFIA! SCUM! AND ANNOYANCE.
Their prices are not really low if you have pay additional money later !

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Ordered a soundcard over 2 weeks ago, which has since been lost by DHL. They claimed it was found and would be delivered the following week, which of course never happened. They use DHL who are simply awful, and Thomann customer service is appauling. NEVER EVER order from Thomann.

Easily the worst customer experience I…

Easily the worst customer experience I have had in my 43 years on this earth.
Had to return an item for refund as it was unsuitable. Was charged £23 for returns via their courier.
Sent the item back… no refund. Excuse after excuse… lost in transit… held up in customs… blah blah blah. Eventually got PayPal involved and received a refund nearly 3 months after initial purchase. Absolute disgrace of a company. Never. Ever. Buy from these clowns. Order from Andertons, Gear For Music, Coda… in fact you’d be better ordering a delivery from a drop seller in China.
