Purchased the strut tower reinforcement plates with the intention of upgrading later to add on the cross brace. When I received the tower plates and instlaled them, I looked a them and noticed that they had no mount holes in the plates that were shown on the website which allow you to later add on the seperately purchasable cross brace member. When I contacted the customer service department, they said that the new reinforcement plates (version 2) do not allow for the add-on cross brace. Since I had already mounted them, I was not able to return them at all because "they could not resell them as new". I was advised that I could get 5% off the purchase of the entire cross brace kit, but I wold have to sell the reinforcement plates elsewhere. The insulting part is that if you sign up to receive their email marketing, you get a 5% off coupon just for signing up. Have even bumped into the CEO at Mini Cooper events and he mentioned that he knew of my case, but nothing else ever comes of it or any other offers or discounts. Very disappointing for a company that has such a large footprint in the market.

Ordered an crank pulley from M7. Excellent quality. Spot on delivery. Had the part like next day. These guys rock, can't wait to do more business with them.

This install was on a R56 JCW with the N18 engine. I talked to the guys at my local dealer (who are great about stuff like this) and they said it would work out fine if I had an automatic N18 or the N14 engine.

M7 was great with getting me a return number

Last weekend I installed the Pre-Intercooler Charge Pipe. It was fairly straight forward install (despite the original piece being a pain to get out)…all was good…..until I went for a drive.

I had trouble with shifting from 3rd to 4th (a little stiff but not bad) and then 4th to 5th to 6th was crazy stiff!! And getting out of gear back into neutral was not working well at all.

Got the MINI back in the garage and had a friend come over so we could see what was wrong. Turns out the there is an ‘ARM’ on the manual gear box that moves right to left when looking into the engine from the front of the car. After 3rd gear, this arm is snug against your Pre-Intercooler Charge Pipe. Going to 4th, 5th, and 6th starts to really torque the pipe (basically squashing it over).
I had to take it out completely (adding more pain was the fact that I broke the OEM muffler mounting hole taking it out and had to get a new one).

I ordered a hitch mount from them, knowing that they were not in stock, only to find a day later that a competitor actually had a similar product in stock. I emailed their contact, and got a personal response saying that they were sorry that they couldn't fill my order quickly, and refunded my purchase price without any hassles. Going forward, I will be using them for my purchases, since the other company ended up not delivering the product when they said they would.

Interestingly, I just received an email request for review on a product I purchased almost 2 years ago at MOTD (2015). The M7 sales folks on Vendor Alley were nice enough. I purchased a carbon fiber hood scoop-relatively expensive as hood scoops go–and made one mistake. My mistake was not taking the hood scoop out of the plastic wrap until about one week after I got home when I was ready to install it. The carbon fiber was poor quality and the visible seams actually had fiber pieces extruding through them. Not what I expected for a $400 piece of carbon fiber. I called them on the next business day (Monday) and was informed that no carbon fiber pieces could be returned. Period. They would not even research my purchase etc. (I had also purchased a Wagner sport intercooler from them that week). This was approximately 10 days after purchase and, again, the piece had not even been installed on my vehicle. This was not my first purchase from M7 but has and will be my last.

Very good products and always sent very quickly. Web Site is very good and caters for all aspects of the item you intend to buy. For instance, it has a learn more page, has a download fitting instructions and you can also see a video on how to fit the item you have bought. Always quick to reply by email to any queries you might have with regard to what you intend to buy.

The manufacturer messed up and put the wrong part in the right box and shipped it to M7 and then to me. After calling M7 to explain my concern they immediately shipped me the correct part. They didn't even wait to receive the wrong part back from me. Really satisfied with the customer service.
