Disgusting service from American Express and maiden
Four or five months ago we bought a coat from this company using an American Express card. It was a substandard quality and we decided to return it. It then turned out although we thought maddens was a Dutch company that the coat had to be returned to China. this cost £28 postage bad enough on £100 coat sometime later with no response we checked they told us we had to pay between 20 and £30 to them to get the coat out of Chinese customs. I was not prepared to do this. I complained to them and got nowhere. We’re still I’ve been trying to get the matter resolved with American Express as I used it to buy the coat according to American Express they will not cover us for this. who on earth would buy anything from this company if they knew it risk going through Chinese customs if it had to be returned for being substandard, don’t touch this company with a bargepole
