I felt a bit nervous ordering such an important item online without having seen it first but my fears were misplaced and I'm glad I didn't fall into the 'natural diamond' con of the jewellery industry.

When the ring arrived from made it definitely looked the part and my other half has been very happy with it ever since.

We did notice a few minor quality issues on the ring such as slight scuffs on one of the clasps around the stone but this was resolved by sending the ring back to the retailer who then corrected the issue.

The email communication was good and overall I was pleased with the service.

1ct diamond ring with platinum band

I ordered a 1ct diamond ring with a platinum band. The retailer sent me a ring, I then carried this ring abroad and proposed to my girlfriend (an incredible moment). Upon returning I took the ring to be resized with my now fiance at a local jeweller. When asking them to resize it and telling them it was platinum they informed me it was in fact white gold!!! This was one of the most humiliating moments of my entire life!!! I wanted the ground to open up an swallow me.

I informed the retailer and they were reluctant to believe me (they appeared incredulous that a mistake could have occured) ... I could clearly read the hallmark and it was clearly white gold. I humoured them and got the ring checked at other independent jewellers who confirmed it was white gold and not platinum (and took photographic proof).

Eventually they accepted their mistake (and appeared genuinely remorseful/apologetic) and offered to replace the ring with the correct platinum band for no extra charge and offered to refund £200 which was a nice gesture but trivial when considering the ring I proposed with isnt the ring my soon to be wife will wear forever (and the humiliation I experienced, which was truly horrendous).

The retailer also suggested the mistake was most likely because another customer with the same christian name had an item dispatched that day (hence the rings got swapped)?!?! The quality assurance processes at this place must be diabolically bad if that's the reason for the mistake - I genuinely can't believe how basic an error they made! It also makes me feel very weird knowing another random lady has the ring I paid for on her finger with a nice upgrade for free!

I purchased from them on the basis they were Assay Assured - this accreditation is clearly a total waste of space.

Shopping with this retailer was quite frankly traumatic. If I hadn't have taken the ring for resizing I wouldn't have known I had received an inferior product until a few years down the line when it started to age like gold and not platinum!

The actual ring is quite nice. When I inspected the original white gold ring I was sent it had a small sized imperfection/scratch on it and one of the 6 claws holding the diamond had a very small bend/twist in it - not major but worth highlighting to future potential customers.

I like the ethics of this company hence why I originally purchased from them. The experience I have outlined above however means I can absolutely NOT recommend them. If you choose to purchase from them please carry out your own due diligence and get your ring checked!
