Absolutely terrible experience. This company completely misrepresents its products. The items I received looked nothing like the photos on the website — the shape, style, and fabric were all entirely different from what was advertised.

They present themselves as an Irish company, which is misleading. The products are actually shipped from China. What arrived was shockingly poor quality — the material feels like cheap plastic, the fit and shape are awful, and there was a strong plastic smell straight out of the packaging.

Customer service has been equally unacceptable. They repeatedly delayed responses and strung me along for months, seemingly hoping I would give up. It has now been three months and I am still out of pocket, with no resolution.

I feel completely misled and would strongly advise others to avoid this company.

Avoid at all costs. They are NOT an Irish company, it is all fake. I ordered a dress which firstly took 3 weeks to arrive as it came from China not Ireland, such poor quality and sizing - nothing like the dress that was advertised. When I complained I was offered something else for the same value as long as I paid the delivery fee and I could give the dress to a friend if I liked (this offer was to help the environment seemingly!). I emailed every day looking for a refund and they firstly offered 5% refund and I could keep the dress. With each email they increased the offer of a refund until eventually it reached 50%. They wouldn't go any further than that so I unwillingly took the 50% refund and learned a hard lesson to be sure of where I am ordering from. They ought to be ashamed of themselves, they are knowingly ripping people off but I'm sure Karma will catch up with them someday.

These people are scam artists. 100%. They advertise on platforms with false images and send items that are such cheap imitation and really nothing like what they have in their pictures. Then they refuse to refund as online sellers are obliged to do. They insist you send items to China and make it completely unfeasible to do so you will not get your money back. Nothing short of complete thievery. They should be ashamed of themselves.

AVOID!! Avoid!!! This is a SCAM ! u get a product thats not what ordered size or quality !! when u want to return for refund they don’t refund !!!! Hold onto your money it’s not an Irish shop !!

I wanted to put in no stars but that wasn’t an option!
I do up to a point to blame myself. I did not deep dive enough into the company. I did a shallow dive saw the website for a Dublin shop and thought I was okay. I could not have been more wrong
I thought I was buying local but when the tracking came through it went to Asia I contacted the company to express my confusion and was told they were still an Irish company but due to a number of reasons they had closed their shop and had gone online I was not thrilled but I went ahead and waited for my order. nearly 3 weeks later It arrived. It was neither the colour or quality of what I had ordered and barely resembled the picture. Stupidly I assumed it was an error and contacted them but was offered an exchange for a different outfit if I covered the delivery charges or if I didn’t want the hassle of that I could give the outfit to a friend!! it was only then I did a deeper dive and found all these reviews and realised I had been scammed. please please please anyone reading this blocked them do not go near them. I spent just under €60 on a badly made polyester dress that would fit or suit no one an expensive lesson, but I’ve learnt it.

What a horrible shower & how are these thieves allow get away with advertising on Facebook ? It’s pure lies no shop in Ireland and never did ! The quality is a disgrace & customer service forget it they are an embarrassment! It’s all coming out of China, mine arrived rolled up in a ball no tags no labels clearly already thrown back at some stage & they refuse to give me a refund or credit they offered me 10% back and although the goods are faulty and I’ve send them photo proof they refused to give me a return label. Stay 100% away from these Charlatans and Avoid them like the plague!

Ordered a jumper but just laughed when it arrived. I have attempted 7 emails to get refund but they keep saying that they will give me partial refund but keep the jumper. I toldthem nobody would wear it, i sent them the same jumper from the Temu site. I will not give up til i contact consumer rights and also report the site to the fraud sites. I just wonder who is Maeve and niamh. I wanted to shop local/irish this xmas and this is what happens

This shop is a scam. I got a cheap imitation of the beautiful dress I thought I was ordering from a genuine Irish boutique. I contacted them and their solution is that I can keep the dress and order something of the same value but pay the €10 postage. I don’t think so as I would only get another plastic imitation. So disappointed, you really have to go through the website for all the sellers details.

Sad to say I've been duped!! I should have not selected any stars at all, they don't deserve any!! Maeveniamh.com is not a shop based in Dublin or indeed anywhere in Europe! Have just received two very poor quality jumpers. I have been burned and it won't happen again!! In fact apart from leaving this review as warning to others, I won't even waste my time or energy trying to get refund The pictures on website appear to be of far superior quality than reality. Most shops in this country or indeed anywhere else in the world would sell better quality products. You have been warned!!

It’s a scam - it comes from china, completely unrelated to Ireland. Just a fake shop front and misleading name and images.
The items look nothing like the pictures, they’re fake and terrible quality.
STAY AWAY!

Ordered a jacket and jumper off this site over 3 weeks ago thinking I was buying off a local Irish business as it was advertised! It is in fact a scam and tracking is coming from china ! Reading reviews of the quality people are receiving has me very disappointed! Stay away! If they’re giving false information on their site about where your buying from I can’t imagine what condition the clothes and material is in!

I ordered from Maeve & Niamh after seeing them online and I’m honestly delighted that I did. Everything about the experience felt straightforward and trustworthy from the start.

The website is clear and easy to use, the sizing information was spot on, and my order arrived well within the expected delivery time. The clothing itself is really lovely — comfortable, well made, and exactly as shown on the site. You can tell care has gone into both the selection and the presentation.

I also had a small question after ordering and received a quick, friendly reply, which I really appreciated. It felt personal and genuine, not rushed or automated.

All in all, Maeve & Niamh feels like a business that genuinely values its customers. I’d happily order again and would recommend them to anyone looking for stylish pieces with reliable service. Fair play to them.

Misleading Advertising & Poor Quality

I had a very disappointing experience with Maeve & Niamh. I paid €64.95 for a coat that looked nothing like the product advertised on their website. The images showed a thick, fluffy, high-quality garment. What I received was thin, cheap, and completely unusable as a coat or dressing gown.

When I contacted customer service, I provided photos of the item received alongside screenshots of their own advertisement to show the huge difference. Instead of offering a full refund, they repeatedly tried to resolve the issue by offering partial refunds (10%, 15%, then 20%) and suggesting I keep the item — despite the fact that it is not fit for purpose.

I also refused to pay return shipping, as the product was clearly misrepresented, but this was continuously pushed back on. Their internal “policy” was used to override consumer rights, which is unacceptable.

Overall, the experience felt misleading and extremely frustrating. I would not trust this store’s product descriptions and would strongly advise others to shop elsewhere.

Scam, long delivery time, very bad quality, asked to return, said I had to pay the return to china, several emails later they agreed to refund 50%, still haven’t received a refund, 8 days after they agreed to pay 50%. Absolute scam, don’t know why they even bother answering emails

This is not a shop in Dublin as the website advertises, I bought 2 dresses that arrived from china 2 weeks later, sure I could have bought them off SHEIN , the material is very cheap… I tought I was buying from a small Irish business.. I want to return them and cannot get a return address from them 😡 oh they have answered my emails , but are doing everything to avoid giving me a return address.. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM…. They have Trustpilot reviews on there webpage, yet I can’t find them on trustpilot 🤷‍♀️ AVOID ⚠️ AVOID⚠️

This website is a scam. They say they have over 2,300 trust pilot review they have 3 at the time of writing. They list a FAKE VAT number. Website says its based in Ireland but the customer services give their opening hours in New Zealand times! Their FB post gives an address for a B& B!!

Unfortunatelly they don't have a fysical store anymore, but an amazing online one. I ordered a dress and a jacket. Both are high quality and I'm very happy with it.
Shipping time is a little long, but thats because of Black Friday, DHL is very busy during that time.
