The increase in SA PowerBall pricing was introduced by the new South African National Lottery operator on 1 June 2026 and applies nationally. The cost of a PowerBall entry increased from R5 to R10, while PowerBall Xtra increased from R2.50 to R5.
As a lottery ticket messenger service, MagicLotto does not set the official ticket prices and is required to follow the pricing determined by the lottery operator.
We understand that a 100% increase is significant and may be disappointing to regular players. We appreciate your feedback and hope this clarifies that the change was not made by MagicLotto.

I’ve really enjoyed using Magic Lotto. The site is very easy to navigate, deposits and withdrawals are smooth, and the overall experience feels seamless compared to a lot of other platforms. I also like how simple it is to find games and enter draws without the site feeling cluttered or confusing.
