Martin worked above and beyond

Had our smart meters fitted by Martin. He was excellent. He was a pleasure to have in the house and worked above and beyond. He cleaned up afterwards and was extremely helpful and informative.

DO NOT WORK FOR MAGNUM

I echo another review. My Husband was one of the best engineers on the team who was treated like absolute dirt. This company don't have a HR department who understand law. They deduct wages illegally for anything and it is only a matter of time before the law catches up with them.

Credit card fraud on the day of engineer visit. Magnum unhelpful despite reasonable ground to suggest it was the engineer

Someone committed fraud on my credit card the day Magnum came, on a new card that had never left the house and had no other guests. The registered address was my old address on my driving license (not the address they came to) meaning someone had to have taken details of both and my bag was unaccompanied in another room nearby for 5 minutes.

I cannot prove it is the same man as police could not pursue the investigation further. I reported to Magnum who didn’t get back to me. Police started an investigation and they told me that they spoke to Magnum however the man was reportedly not an employee but contracted out. The phone number they had for him was reportedly not connecting, and the people at the postal address for the online orders say they didn’t receive anything. The investigation had to close due to dead ends.

Most disappointing that Magnum sent a contractor, were unresponsive to me despite my serious experience, and had little details for this person meaning little police could do.

I previously wrote a review saying that the engineer did the fraud however magnum complained that it is defamation unless there is police evidence it was him. Hence why I am posting again with more factual wording and let the reader be the judge.

Be careful and supervise the person at all times.

This is an absolutely disgusting company. My partner resigned from them because they were forcing him to become sub-sub-contracted. He was meant to get paid today CHRISTMAS EVE and they didn't pay. They sent him a pay slip but no pay and couldn't even give him a date as to when he will get paid. Just because he resigned they are holding his wages!? My partner has worked incredibly hard over this whole pandemic and this is how you repay him???? AVOID WORKING THERE EVEN IF YOU ARE DESPERATE. They do not value there staff. Absolute malicious company. Thank you for ruining our Christmas

For the 2nd time with no notice they…

For the 2nd time with no notice they haven't turned up. 1st time i got a call the day before, so i could at least cancel my 1/2 day holiday to be at home. But this morning, i got a call an hour after they were meant to be with me. To say no one was coming and they couldn't give me an idea when they could be with me, but it wouldn't be before xmas. Absolute rubbish

Magnum Utilities van always in the way

Magnum Utilities don't park very considerately on cramped residential roads. Their van is constantly parked in a position that means I can't ever get to pick my very frail relative up in Erdington, Birmingham. Please have some thought for other people/residents an stop being so ignorant to other people's needs. Please park considerately

Smart Meters fitted.

The lady who came to fit two Smart meters was extremely lovely! She ensured me of what she was doing and going to do.
Her name was Tracy and she did her job very quickly and told me the necessary information afterwards.
She gave me a call half an hour before her arrival.

Smart Meter not very smart, fitter even less so

5 weeks ago, we had a new gas meter and a smart meter fitted and the smart meter has not worked since installation. My husband contacted our energy suppliers after 10 days and they were going to “look into it” and get back to us. 2 weeks later we made another call as no-one had bothered to call and this useless object is still sitting there doing nothing.

Not impressed with the fitter. He couldn’t call out our name i.e., Mr or Mrs when he wanted something, he just kept bellowing out “HELLO” each time. Rude. Our electricity meter is, for some reason, in a cupboard in our dining room, so we rolled up the large rug covering the wooden floor, so that he didn’t put his boots all over it. Some other floors are tiled so not a problem – i.e., from the front door, where he was shown in. I was working outside, and the chap went back to his van a couple of times and then I didn’t see him and presumed he was working inside. It wasn’t until I went to go into our other entrance, having taken off my shoes, to find that he’d decided to take a quick route over the large Turkish rug in our hallway and was walking backwards and forwards over it with his boots. I couldn’t believe it and made him aware of the error of his ways. I think the company should supply the fitters with shoe covers to protect other people’s property – especially when they are like him. Not impressed. We were even less impressed when we walked outside after he’d departed, to find that he’d left the old meter and plastic rubbish strewn all over our path and the gas cupboard door with the key still in it, swinging backwards and forwards in the wind. Find another company if you can.

First Class Service Meter Installation

Although it has taken some time to get my meter fitted, I have to say the service I received from Brian who came out to fit the meter was excellent. He rang beforehand to say when he was coming. When he arrived he was extremely friendly and he fitted our meter professionally. There was a small problem which resulted in him having to stay to wait for our electrician. However this was not a bother to Brian as he just wanted to make sure everything was up and running and working properly. Thank you Brian.

Our smart meter was fitted today by…

Our smart meter was fitted today by Magnum on behalf of Igloo. The two workmen, Dave and Hasan 'phoned before arrival. They were both excellent. Left the job clean and tidy and were both pleasant and friendly.

If the meter works as well as they did we will give it 110%! Fingers crossed!

Terrible service.

It took this company over 6months to replace my faulty meter. The new one was installed but the fitter said that it wouldn't connect to the system!That was two weeks ago and they still have not come back!!!

Useless Service 11 months of worthless promises

They fitted a Smartmeter and just left the in home device, this did not work. After contacting ESB and giving them details Magnum sent me a card saying they would refit the smart meter. They just did not turn up and when I phoned them they said ESB had cancelled the visit!!! Neither Magnum Utilities or ESB thought to inform me so they have completely wasted my time and I'm still left with a non-functioning device. I told them between Magnyum Utilities and ESB they could not organise a P*** Up in a Brewerey, which seems is a bit of an understatement.
