Charging $6,000 for one month just to set up email marketing flows, while never clearly disclosing where or how the work would actually be done, simply doesn’t make sense. Anyone with real experience in email and SMS marketing will tell you that this structure is one of the biggest red flags in the industry.
Email marketing is not a one-month service. It’s an ongoing system that requires continuous optimization, testing, and expansion. Flows are only the foundation. Once the basic flows are created, they need to be constantly improved, adjusted, and supplemented with campaigns based on customer behavior, promotions, new products, seasonality, and performance data.
And guy Toma didn't even want to setup campaigns but only flows and $6k for it... crazy.
Because of that, charging $6,000 for a single month purely to “set up flows” is extremely questionable. Flows are not a one-time task that magically performs forever. They need iteration, A/B testing, deliverability monitoring, segmentation improvements, and ongoing adjustments as the business grows.
On top of that, it was never clearly communicated where these flows would be built, what the exact deliverables would be, how many flows would be included...
The most surprising part was hearing that this entire setup was only for one month after the month passed, I had no idea about that until 1 month passed where they just randomly stopped responding and I asked what's going on? You can tell how sketchy that is...
