I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Mainphar.
After placing my order and making payment, Mainphar never sent me an invoice as other companies normally do. Instead, they withdrew 68.13 EUR from my account, even though the agreed price was only 51.14 EUR.
I contacted Mainphar multiple times requesting an invoice, shipping details, and a refund of the overcharge, but they never replied.
The product eventually arrived, but it was shipped by a different company, and the enclosed invoice showed 52.99 EUR. This still doesn’t explain why I was charged 68.13 EUR.
In the end, I paid about 17 EUR more than agreed, with no explanation, documentation, or communication from Mainphar. This feels dishonest and unacceptable.
I strongly caution others against ordering from this company until they prove they can act with honesty, transparency, and proper customer service.
Even if Mainphar later provides some form of explanation, it does not justify their actions. According to EU consumer protection law, specifically Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, the price agreed at the time of the online purchase is binding. Any unauthorized change in price after payment, without the explicit consent of the consumer, is illegal.
Under Article 5 and Article 6 of this directive, the trader is obliged to clearly communicate the total price before the contract is concluded, and Article 19 specifically states that no hidden or additional charges may be imposed without the consumer’s express consent.
In my case, I agreed to pay €51.14, but was charged €68.13 without notice or approval. This is a clear violation of EU law and consumer rights.

Thank you for your lengthy reply, but unfortunately, it does not address the core issues in my experience. I stand by my statement that I was charged more than the amount shown and approved at checkout, and that this only became clear after receiving the product and after multiple attempts to get an explanation.
Facts:
• At checkout, the total amount shown and approved was €51.14.
• However, my bank account was charged €68.13 – without any prior notice or clear breakdown.
• I received no invoice with my order, no confirmation showing the full breakdown of the price, and only several days after delivery was I sent an invoice – which still only listed €52.99.
• Only after my complaint did you mention a “service fee” and shipping cost – neither of which were clearly itemised or visible at checkout.
EU Consumer Rights:
You refer to EU Directive 2011/83/EU – and you are right to do so, because it clearly states that:
• Under Articles 5 and 6, the total price including all fees and charges must be clearly communicated before the purchase is completed.
• Under Article 19, no hidden or additional charges may be imposed without the consumer’s explicit consent.
What I experienced was:
• A non-transparent pricing structure.
• A higher charge than what I agreed to.
• No invoice or explanation until I followed up several times.
• An invoice that still did not justify the total charged amount.
It is not enough to hide important pricing information in the Terms and Conditions or in website footers. Service fees and shipping costs must be clearly itemised and visible in the total amount at checkout, and the consumer must actively approve the final amount before payment. That did not happen in my case.
It seems like you’re trying to shift the blame to the customer instead of taking responsibility for a purchase process that lacks transparency. I am not trying to damage your reputation – I am warning other consumers and reminding you that EU consumer law is designed to protect buyers, not sellers.
I stand by my review and sincerely hope that in the future you will ensure greater transparency, automatic invoicing, and a clear total price before checkout, as required by law.

Finally I have found place in Germany where I can order my favourite melatonin gummy! It was excellent, and delivery was quick. Delivering with DHL is little expensive. It would be nice if they can find some other delivering system.

My order has not been shipped for 18 days now. I have not been given any specific delivery dates. They respond to emails with a delay of several days. They do not help with orders at all in the chat on the website.
