Misleading Quote and Poor Communication – Disappointing Experience
I emailed Maintracts on a Sunday with photos of my hot water cylinder, requesting a quote. When I didn’t receive a reply, I called their office on bank holiday Monday. Shortly after, a technician called me back, diagnosed a “failed immersion element” from the photos alone, and quoted £600 + VAT for the repair, urging me to order the part immediately.
Later that evening, I received an email from another staff member stating that they don’t even cover my area (central London), despite the phone quote just hours earlier. I replied asking for clarification, but never received a response.
I ended up booking a different contractor, who actually inspected the cylinder and found that the immersion unit was fine. They simply replaced a £10 fused spur switch, resolving the issue for a fraction of Maintracts’ quote.
Unreliable diagnosis, conflicting information, and complete lack of follow-up—would not recommend.

Brilliant efficient service from Russell
Russell was brilliant. He very quickly identified the issue we were having with an airlock in our gravity cold water system, explained it to us and showed how we can fix it again in future. Much better than another local plumber we used previously who had to break open a box in our bathroom to fix the issue!

I called after the water pressure went in my flat and within a few hours someone had arrived to sort the issue. Toby was super efficient and helpful, will definitely be asking for him in the future! Reasonably priced as well.

Execellent Plumbing Service
The plumber (Toby) was first rate. He removed and replaced three radiators and did so in a professional, careful, and tidy manner. He was polite, friendly and his approach to the job was exactly what you would want. Measurements to check rads central to wall, organised the sequence to allow me to paint behind, advice on balancing and pressure to the system - all the smaller things that add up to a great service. I would definitely recommend using Maintracts and will be doing so from now on.

After my first excellent experience with Maintracts, I have never looked back. They are a very safe, reliable and committed company. I have used them several times for: gas safety and boiler service, fitting a new boiler, insurance claim for a leak and today I used their emergency service. They fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes. To top it off they are extremely competitively priced. 10/10! Thank you so much.

I have know of this company since 1981 when they helped me out with an old boiler in my first flat. They came super quickly when my latest one failed on New Year’s Day and after valiant efforts to repair quickly installed a new one, with added improvements to my system. At every stage they consulted me and prioritised my well being. I am now warm again with a more efficient system. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Absolutely excellent
Thank you Harrison. He came to diagnose and fix a leak under a boxed-in bath. He arrived early on in the time slot I was given, and was professional and helpful. He diagnosed the problem as being a leaking diverter.
I'm old and pretty deaf, and Harrison took trouble to explain things to me very clearly. He was extremely - I would say unusually - kind and patient. He also realised that I was worried about the cost, and he helped me to decide which of the available options would be the sensible solution. He carried out the work efficiently and then cleared up and left everything immaculate.
Maintracts are not cheap, but I have confidence in the quality of their work and their workforce, and I would use them again if possible.
New boiler
We had few visits from them and their engineer Matthew. He is very professional, knowledgeable and caring. He called us after the work was done to see if everything was functioning properly. He installed a new boiler, he suggested also to get Hive which we found very useful. We would recommend the company and Matthew in particular, to everyone.

Daniel has been to mine twice. First time to check a problem with my boiler (just water pressure) and showed me how to check next time. Second time was to service boiler. Always on time, extremely efficient, and great service. Highly recommend.
