I bought the Material Tomato Knife Set…
I bought the Material Tomato Knife Set as a Christmas gift. The product was delivered quickly. The knife set is excellent! I did have a question about my order and emailed the company. Maison Flaneur was quick to respond. I mean, quick!! Their response was from a live person, not AI or a cookie cutter response. A responsive company using a live person to interact with their customers is rare. I appreciate this company and highly recommend doing business with them.

This company is dishonest. They do not inform us that they source direct from suppliers to you- which country, taxes - all a mystery until your item is held up at customs for extra charges or simply delayed - as was the case with mine. Shipping doesn’t give you a clue either.
A UK front that should be transparent and uphold our UK consumer rights. It does neither.
Avoid. Thoroughly dishonest outfit. I will report to the authorities.

My experience of Maison Flaneur can only be described as shocking…from start to finish.
I purchased a lamp on the 11th of December as a present for my daughter. It was quoted in £GBP on their website and I paid accordingly. I was a little surprised at the shipping cost being the price it was but then noticed they were using a well known courier so actually felt reassured.
It was on the 17th of December that I received a very surprising email from the courier stating the I must pay £61.58 immediately in Duty and VAT import fees! On doing some more homework I discovered the lamp was coming from Portugal!
I have no issue with this other than I was not notified at any stage through the purchase process…worse in fact…I was led to believe at every turn that it was coming from within the UK.
I suspect Maison Flaneur don’t advise you of this facts because if you add the duty and VAT into the equation it makes it an extremely expensive lamp.
I did ask them for an explanation and their response dodged the issue completely.
I also asked them to get onto the courier company because they had passed them only part of the delivery address. Nothing whatsoever happened on this at all.
It was as if they had got my money and really didn’t care at all from that moment on. Silly and careless really. I will be actively spreading my view of them from now on!
I did eventually manage to get delivery of the lamp but not until the 31st of December so I didn’t it have to give to my daughter…oh yes…and the only way I could get it was to drive 30 minutes each way to collect it because they did not have my full address because of Maison Flaneur’s carelessness!
No show and initially no full refund
I ordered a couple of items from the website on Dec 13. Nothing appeared amiss. One item arrived very quickly. I didn’t panic but then about 5 days before Christmas I send an email to find out what is happening. I get several holding emails then on 24th I receive an email the item is out of stock and would I like a refund. Of course the answer was yes but the initial refund did not include the shipping charges. So I had to send another email in order to ask for the additional refund - which was then dealt with. There was no one to phone- you cannot find a number anywhere. Very sloppy and unfriendly customer service.
Gret customer service
I experienced a delay in shipping with my order, but Maison Flâneur handled it so well. Communication was prompt, thoughtful, and transparent throughout, and I genuinely felt taken care of as a customer. Delays can happen, especially during busy periods, and what really stood out was how professionally and kindly the team managed the situation. I would absolutely order from Maison Flâneur again and appreciate their excellent customer service.

Abysmal customer service and no regard for their clients
Absolutely appalling customer service and zero regard for their customers. I ordered 350 euros worth of things for my Christmas table that never arrived and their customer service kept telling me they were ‘chasing the logistics team for a tracking number’ then just went cold. Nothing arrived and Christmas is 2 days away. I also placed the order 5 weeks in advance. I would absolutely not recommend this sham website and recommend you go directly the the brand if there’s something you really like. Utterly unacceptable.

Dire Customer Service
Honestly, I would avoid Maison Flanuer at all costs.
We ordered two coasters, waited 4 weeks for them to arrive, only for Evri to say they were delivered when they weren’t - we then got back in touch with the MF, who promised reship them with another courier.
However, after 6 weeks we had to chase again, dealing with Jess, we had nothing but poor communication, sloppiness and arrogance.
After multiple emails back and forth with Jess, I asked her to cancel the order and refund me, however, despite this, a few days later she tells me the order is shipped with Evri, despite me asking to cancel, but also their promise not to send with Evri.
Order finally arrived, however the quality is appalling, and I am now being told I will have to cover the return costs. Just a shocking service overall when I asked for it to be cancelled.
I’ve asked to speak to a manager over 5 times, yet Jess, clearly lacking any common sense / intelligence, has still not passed my details on.
Genuinely, avoid this company at all costs.

I’ve asked the full description of an item I was interested on, and in less than 24hrs I got an answer plus a kindly discount offert for my next purchase. Very helpful, fast and effective.
I also love Maison Flâneur sélection.

Not bad products but a terrible website, using filters to look for products is completely broken. Any filters are immediately removed when you go to the next page so it's impossible to actually use it. Abysmal web design from a company that really should have this sort of thing sorted, especially considering the prices they charge.
