Less than last minute cancellation = totally unreliable.
I booked Majestic Oven Cleaning to clean my mum’s range cooker, with an appointment scheduled for Friday, 10 January, between 10–11am. I had provided photos and video footage in advance and prepared the sink and oven areas as requested the night before. However, at 10:12am on the same morning they were due to attend, I received a WhatsApp message cancelling the appointment due to an "emergency."
Despite the cancellation, no alternative cleaner was sent out the same day. While I understand emergencies can happen, the lack of a contingency plan to avoid disappointing customers is unacceptable and has led to me leaving this review.
Following this experience, I found a highly-rated company on Checkatrade that could attend the same day, complete the job in half the time quoted, and charge nearly 40% less than Majestic Oven Cleaning.
After sharing my experience on Google, the company responded by claiming they had offered a same-day alternative appointment, which is untrue. My WhatsApp correspondence clearly shows that the only option offered was an appointment the following day, which my mum could not accommodate. Had a same-day option been offered, there would have been no issue.
I am disappointed by their inaccurate response, which misrepresents the situation and unfairly portrays me as unreasonable when I have been nothing but fair, and I would not recommend them as a result of my overall experience.
