My boyfriend and I had an incredible experience hiking Volcán Fuego, and Diego truly made it unforgettable. From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. His knowledge of the volcanos, weather, and climate conditions was extremely impressive, and he carefully walked us through multiple options so we would have the best chance to witness the eruptions safely and clearly. Throughout the entire hike, he had such a positive and encouraging energy that kept our spirits high, even though some parts of the hike were very difficult for us. He was also a lot of fun to talk to throughout this time. His kindness and genuine enthusiasm for the experience made it even more special.

If you're considering hiking Volcán Fuego- or any other tour with Diego, I cannot recommend him enough.

My sister and I have gone on all sorts of travel adventures together, but our tour with Diego is something we still reminisce about a year later. We were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour, which means we got the full Diego experience! From the moment we met him, Diego instantly felt like a friend. He made us feel incredibly safe and well taken care of, whether in the city, in the jungle or in a remote mountain village. It felt like so much more authentic of an experience than we would've had with a bigger tour company. Diego was extremely knowledgeable about everything Guatemalan, but he was also just a pleasure to be around and spend so much time with--which is important when it's just the three of you hiking for four days! Even when there were hiccups along the way, Diego took them in stride and made sure we were still as comfortable as possible throughout our trek. I can't recommend Diego or Maltiox Adventures enough. Choose Diego--you won't regret it!
