Dangerous Scam company

Scam company. Should really be no stars. Also uses at least 3 other websites allmodelswanted.com, managingmodels.com and bookamodels.com (please note this is different to book a model). There is no company address info on their websites and no contact telephone numbers! They hire places for the day to do sessions. They said there was no charge, took sub standard photos and then intimidated my teenage son into paying up £400 when he tried to leave. He couldn't get hold of me, and was scared so he paid up. Unable to get any response when I tried to complain.

Suspicious company?

This isn't a review but I have dealt with this company today.
They invited my son for a test shoot.
I expressed that I won't be handing any money over, even after the shoot for a 'portfolio' and made them aware we have been offered that type of 'deal' before and it isn't what we want.

Emails and conversations back and forth and they've swore blind and insisted that if we want photos we can buy them but that we aren't obliged and that the only money taken is commission from the modelling jobs?

They seem to go under several names also? Saying it's the different departments.
So it made it hard to find any reviews on them.. until now

Surely they can't just repeatedly bare faced lie? Won't be going along to it anyway after finally finding this review.

Went to ManagedModel.com today and they…

Went to ManagedModel.com today and they tried to scam me out of £300 which they said I need to pay in order for my daughter's photos to be placed on an online portfolio that only agencies use. Funny enough when I said no the amount reduced from £300 to £100 like I was bargaining in a market. The lady became very aggressive and started shouting when I refused and even went on to tell my daughter she can forget about ever being a model if she doesn't pay. Her behaviour was like a crazy woman even refusing for me to go outside to make a phone call. When I insisted that I need to make the call she agreed to give me privacy in the room to make the call and then hovered by the door and came back in while I was on the phone insisting that she wanted to take the call to persuade whoever I was talking to that I should pay. Sad thing is the waiting room was filled with people who probably paid particularly parents as they use the children like vices to make parents feel bad. I couldn't run out of there fast enough. Please, please don't fall for this scam and stay well away from them.

Sadly

Sadly, a scam. There are thousands of these ‘model management’ or ‘promotion’ ‘agencies’.

A real agency takes a cut of a job you do get. You shouldn’t be paying to register, these people don’t know anyone in the industry and even if they did they can’t guarantee you jobs.

Before I even wasted any time on the actual ‘test’ shoot I made it clear I’m not interested in paying. The guy took me to another room. He claimed that agencies pay them to do these test shoots 😂😂. Yeah. Right.

And obviously if I get selected I have to pay also.

I mean that’s just plain conmanship.

Don’t fall for it.
