After checking out the alternatives for a long time, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a Dbr10. You can get cheaper 10” monitors, but you can also pay an awful lot more too, and this has the features I need. I already had some Dbr12s, so it’s also nice to stick with Yamaha quality. I shopped around and found the best price, but it was in Melbourne and I’m in Sydney - free delivery, but I prefer to buy anything more substantial locally if I can. Enter Manny’s price match! I filled in the form on Manny’s site, and they got back to me very quickly agreeing to match the price. That same afternoon I was back at home with my new purchase! It will be my vocal monitor when we play live, but meanwhile will be a monitor for my e-drums when I don’t want to use headphones - and it sounds great! I’m very happy with it - it’s light and compact, and seems well made as you’d expect from Yamaha. And when I registered it they gave me a 7 year warranty - I’m confident this little guy is going to last! Thanks again Manny’s! If you hadn’t matched the price I may have procrastinated yet again, but I’m so glad I finally made this purchase!
