5/5 for Product and Sevice

We are delighted with our new light oak flooring. It has transformed the downstairs of our cottage. There were absolutely no issues throughout the process. Both product and service are great

Excellent service

Our old engineered wood flooring in the kitchen was looking very tired after 20 years. It was a mistake in the first place and years of traffic, spills and people coming in from the garden had done nothing to enhance it. Time to replace it.
Another company had quoted for the job, but when we asked for a change in the specification, they blanked us, no replies to our emails, So they lost out big time.
We called at Manor Flooring's shop in Wootton and found the staff were very friendly and helpful. We left with a bundle of vinyl tile samples (LVTs), a catalogue and an appointment with the boss for him to come and measure up.
I explained to him that it was very important there be no changes in level (trip hazards) as neither my wife nor I are getting any younger; he agreed to lay it as flat as possible.
I asked about time scales and he said that they were booked till mid August. I explained that we had decorators booked in for the first week in August, so he said he'd see what he could do. He managed to find a 2 day slot in mid July.
After accepting their quote the mission creep started. I realised I should have asked for a mat well inside the garden door. No problem. Another quick visit to check the dimensions and that was added.
Come the fitting and two fitters turned up bright and early. Really nice guys, polite, accommodating and friendly and also highly skilled, they knew exactly what they were doing.
Mission creep No 2 - I thought our American fridge had been wheeled in and had just fitted through the gaps between the cupboards and the counter top. That may have been the case, but not with the doors fitted! No way was the fridge coming out. The poor guys had to work round it for two days in a small kitchen. But they managed.
Mission creep No 3 - again, I thought the original wood flooring had been laid on concrete, but no, when they removed the wood they found half the floor was concrete, but the other half was old parquet which had to go. More work and more infill latex self levelling compound (9 more bags!) By midday they had put the bulk of it down and then returned around 4PM to add another layer.
The next day the final layer was added so that it brought the level up so that the LVTs would be level with the adjacent flooring. Finally back early afternoon to lay the LVTs. A lovely professional job. No gaps or "funny" areas. As flat as a pancake. And no more than 1mm difference in height (if that) between the adjacent flooring or the mat in the well. Once they'd cleaned up, you wouldn't have known they had been other than my great new floor.
Downsides? These guys are early birds, be prepared for 7:30 AM starts. Quality and service like this does not come cheap, but it's worth every penny.

The fitters are back. This time to change the carpet in the office / bedroom 4.

Usual early start at 7:45. All done and dusted by 10:30.

No mess left behind and old carpet & underlay removed.

Another 5* neat job.

A couple of months ago Manor Flooring also laid new engineered wood (oak) flooring in my daughter's hall and two adjacent rooms. I don't know the exact area, but they are large rooms. I'd guess 80-100 sq m. New mat wells front and back included. Yet another excellent job and satisfied customer.
