Highly unprofessional conduct
Highly unprofessional and disappointing. I booked a job on Wednesday 19 September for today, Wednesday 26 September. I described the job in detail, saying it was about 60-70m of silicone removal and reapplication, mainly in standard white silicone. I also said that the job was fairly urgent, i.e. that I was relying on the time. The appointment was confirmed by Gemma (company secretary) in writing. First she said Matt (director) was going to come at 7.30am, then this was rolled forward to 9.30am. Yesterday, she said Matt would call in the morning to announce his arrival time. After I hadn't heard anything and enquired at 2pm Gemma suddenly cancelled the whole job, saying "unfortunately work issues out of my control have developed in the last few days...." and that "they are are under too much pressure with contracted work and they would not be in a position to do this job for you for at least two weeks".... I don't know what happened internally but I think it's a very small company (2 people really) with a big website and not much behind. Just cancelling on the day is terrible for customers especially if -like me- you're working on schedule.
