Great customer service, bought a scorpion of Mantis.

Me and my boys love the shop in Lurgan. We bought tarantula, scorpions, praying mantis and wee jumping spiders . Staff is lovely and helpfull. Good selection and great prices.
About delivery- the fruit flys colony just arrived in great shape, box well described , no mess in box, even I didnt pay for special delivery. We even got extra box of flys.
Thank You Praying Mantis NI we will be back for moooore.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AND THE OWNER AT ALL COSTS! Michael is a bully and a narcissist, and is completely disrespectful towards women, enjoys tearing other people and their businesses down on the internet and doesn’t have an ounce of professionalism in him. I’m sure he’ll also read this as well and deny it (as always) but you only need to look at his Facebook page to know the truth, I would not line his pockets with a single penny of your money.

Two points of wax worms and two cartons of medium brown crickets. Crickets were all small and mostly dead the two tubs of waxworms contained more black dead worms than living ones. Shop her at your own risk

About a year ago maybe less I bought my 1st exotic pet from Mantisni, my chameleon and since then I now have 31 Tarantulas after today it will be 32 😁, 3 scorpions and my husband also got long tailed lizards and anoles as well as all enclosures and LIVE food. I have NEVER had any sort of problem with any of my pets and definitely didn't have any problems with Michael or his team, they are always willing to help or give advice when needed and Michael himself goes above and beyond to get you what you want/need. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my tarantulas.

Deal with mantis ni very frequently. Great team, great stock. Used to use other sellers but these guys are my go too now.

Webiste says delivery before 1pm package turned up at 6pm no box was damaged no heat pack not even a label on the box to say live animal inside they then forgot half my order when I messaged him he was very VERY rude and said it was out of his hands it was a dyslexic autistic girls fault who was in charge of my parcel he had no right to tell me that or to prey on her vulnerability’s he should have shadowed and double checked all orders instead of trying to guilt trip the customers trying to make them feel bad I would absolutely avoid this seller save your money and go elsewhere where you will get treated with respect

We ordered a spider and it didnt show up instead a cage did so we got in contact and he sent another one next day the spider has come in amazing condition and he let use keep the cage he doesn’t deserve the coments he gets !

Awful shop, awful owner.
Had to use Mantis NI due to being in hospital and not being able to get to my usual supplier. Ive had missing items from order which was never resolved or refunded as my emails and messages continue to be ignored.
Animals show up in filthy pots, with injuries.
Any time Michael (owner) has been given a negative review he straight away calls you a scammer, lies about any interaction, makes up fake scenarios and tried to put me off keeping a review up on Google by putting my personal details under the review.
Michael is a bully and has an absolutely appalling way of dealing with his customers!

Long time customer here, never had a bad experience, any issues have been rectified immediately and professionally.
I'm very upset to see this smear campaign against the company who are dealing with false charge backs, harassment and people using negative reviews.

Over a week later the owner Michael Cairns (another profile to block) is still having a tantrum about the negative review I've left..please see my Google review on Mantis Ni.!!
He's now calling me "stupid" and a "Moron" he says I should" be the bigger person and admit fault"!!! He's also calling me a liar .
And saying I've "pulled the Abusive woman card" He's now claiming that a female does his socials and is making our I wasn't speaking to him .such B S .
Even IF that was the case then it just makes the shops customer service even worse !! AND HE SAID I WAS MAKING A FOOL OF MYSELF!! 😂
He's clearly now getting family members to write 5* reviews..same surname.. Cairns!! 😂 Look for yourself readers.

Repeat buyer from this business, always found them to be helpful, give great advice and amazing enclosures. Happy to have been able to meet in person at invert shows. They truly care about the pets and go out of their way to help you

I have not done online orders, but I do visit both stores. The lady that works in the lurgan store is so friendly. Very helpful. I ended up 1 week buying 1 jumping spider then revisiting a few times. Now have 3 and she was so helpful with enclosures etc. Between christmas and new years I struggled to get fruit flies and the one box that they had left was too small, but I bought them anyway. I had to return them because I couldn't handle how small they were trying to feed my jumpers I kept loosing them. When I went back the lady was so nice about it. I even said I didn't mind just giving them back and buying bigger fruit flies. She was really kind to me.

If i could rate this ignorant shite company nothing or minus then i would.

I bought a package of blue bottle flies for my mantises, the flies came LATE, then may i also add that 95% of them were dead!!!!! I have emailed four times, commented on his instagram page for the store and messaged it privately yet no response what so ever.

I have seen that this guy likes to bully women who he scams tho, would love to see him try and do this to me😂😂 bring it on hahahah

Michael who owns mantis Ni is one of the most vile, despicable and difficult people you could ever deal with, absolutely no people skills whatsoever, if anything goes wrong with your order and you confront him on it he will blast you all over social media trying to bully you, stay away from Mantis NI

Missing mister bottle which was part of my order as I ordered a bundle and also the fruit fly culture arrived crushed do whatever was in had gotten out. Girl on phone did not apologise, offer to replace etc. I emailed, whatsapped, left a voicemsil and a WhatsApp voice note and nothing back. Im looking a full refund as ive had to rehome the jumper as ive no feeders and no mister to hand.
Shame.

UODATE- Succesful charge back through revolut after sharing the whatsapp evidence of what was said.

Prearranged appointment. He said in the email that he has the equipment that I needed. Arranged day and time for pickup,drove 2 hours from Dublin. Close shopfront, no one was there.

Really helpful - contacted regarding buying some enclosures to help with my small business.
My request was dealt with quickly and efficiently - even when there was a couple of days between messages there was an apology and was totally understandable considering the opening of the new shop of theirs etc - once I’d made payment my order was sent out promptly - although I haven’t checked all the enclosures yet I know that any problems will be dealt with :)
I have personally brought mantids from here too - both arrived well packaged well fed and obviously well cared for.
I look forward to purchasing more from them :)

Wouldn’t give him 1 star if I didn’t have to, he is a abusive, vile disgusting person he has no respect for his customers or people in general and when he is approached on a failing on his behalf or feels like he is being confronted on a matter he will go on to attack you publicly on Facebook groups that he is admin in calling you names and trying to intimidate and bully you he hates to be stood up to so will embarrass himself with spewing insults and lies about you, I wouldn’t buy anything from this company!
