I cannot recommend Future Tech Academy highly enough. This bootcamp is truly life changing.

The tutors at Marianna Tech Academy were brilliant in my cohort! They answered our questions so clearly and went above and beyond by sharing extra time with us to ensure we fully understood various technical details in lessons and during our group projects.

The onboarding experience was absolutely seamless with getting up to speed with expectations for the bootcamp, meeting our teams and tutors for out of hours work.

Truly grateful for the work experience portion of the course. The emphasis on teamwork and building a real-world project mimicked what work is actually like in tech i.e always full of challenges but you learn how to communicate with your team and seek help when you don’t understand things. We had dedicated project managers, senior developers and us as coders, all this structure gave me the confidence to communicate better with different stakeholders in tech.

We also did a lot of networking and career preparedness work via linkedin because personal branding helps you stand out on the job market today. I enjoyed the profile reviews and everyone was so supportive of each others linkedin posts to get more reach.

The one area for improvement is that I wish we had slightly more time for final project of the bootcamp because not everyone had the same amount of time to dedicate to coding consistently and everyone learns at different speeds. Potentially more time would have allowed us to work on more features as a team but I guess in the real world you also need to be organised to ensure you’re researching code solutions and hitting deadlines. Everyone eventually got the hang of the more tricky project concepts and it gave us a chance to rise to the occasion.

Overall really happy, I’m applying the people skills lessons I learned at a new tech start up in sales, with a deeper understanding of the technology behind products thanks to this bootcamp and the support from everyone at MarianaTechAcademy.
