Derailleur was bent from poor shipping setup.

Purchasing the bike, Bolinas Ridge 2, was a breeze. Althoug the "estimated" delivery time was between 2 and 4 weeks, I received it in 5 days. The assembly instructions were easy to follow, and the customer service was outstanding when I contacted them about some left over parts and other questions.

This is my second bike from Marin. My first was stolen, then recovered. It was in bad enough shape that it would've been more expensive to fix it than buy a new one. It's currently out by the dumpster area if you want it.

The mechanics are great. Even out of the box all the gears were adjusted properly as there was no chatter while shifting through the gears. It is a smooth riding bike.

I’m a novice rider and this is my first bike. Recommended by my son. He was right, this is a very nice bike. (Don’t tell him I said that.😉) Easy to assemble. Delivered quickly. I’m very pleased.

Absolutely great, not 5 stars due to hanger is really soft, and shipping cost, but other than that it's great

All I wanted was to go to the website and get the specific part I needed for this Marin Rift Zone 1. The website is trash. I actually had to scoure the internet and purchase the part from a 3rd party company because the search engine for the manufacturer was garbage. Buy a Trek or Specialized instead!

Terrible experience, took far too long to deliver, pedals are cheap. Seat is too high . Had to call out of work thwice for missed deliveries. Package required a signature. Literally had to chase down the FEDEX Driver to get my package while at work. This was honestly the worst most stressful thing I’ve ever ordered.

Order took too long to ship and the through axel does not fit. I used the fitment recommended on the Marin sight. I have an axel that does not fit and had to overnight the correct one from another supplier.

Great bike!

This bike looks nice, performs great, and came quickly. Putting it together wasn't too challenging.

Here is what it is; either they think the customer who returns their product deserves a phuq-U, so they don't do anything to facilitate the process, or they just think they're above retail detail.
Postal tracking showed our return delivered.
Nothing.
They're happy to come on here & pretend they care or want to help when they get a bad review - in reality, they don't answer emails if they know what you want. It's just not work they want to do.
They don't care about us, so it's safe to assume they won't care about you.

I bought a Marin bike thinking I’d casually cruise around the neighborhood. Instead, I accidentally became that guy who wears padded shorts and says things like “cadence” unironically. Thanks, Marin — now I own three pairs of sunglasses, none of which are for fashion.

This bike climbs hills like a mountain goat on espresso and descends like it’s being chased by the IRS. Smooth, fast, and somehow makes me feel like a Tour de France contender even though I stop for snacks every 2 miles.

Pros:

Looks fast even when I'm walking it uphill

Made me google "aerodynamics for dads"

Local squirrels nod respectfully as I ride by

Cons:

My car feels jealous

My friends say I talk about "geometry" too much (they mean bike geometry, obviously)

I can't blame the bike for being slow anymore—it’s definitely me

10/10 would pedal into the sunset again.

Bought a marin san quentin 3 27.5 2025 almost 3 months ago now overall it's a fantastic bike my only big complaint it that the paint on the bike chips ridiculously easily had a good 5 or 6 big paint chips already and my previous bikes never had that must just have extremely weak paint or lacquer abit of a shame and marin themselves do not supply anything so solve this issue.

Found a like new Larkspur 2 for my dad last fall and loved riding it myself on both paved and easier dirt trails. Such a great value proposition with the chosen components and the comfort was excellent.

When the DSX 2 came back in stock in a Large I pulled the trigger and couldn’t be happier. This bike makes me want to go out and get more miles in to compliment my mountain bike rides.

Marin makes some unique and cool rides unavailable in the market at fantastic prices. Thanks!
