Fast and friendly service, would definitely use these guys again

I was looking for a specific Seiko watch and was struggling to find a stockist. I emailed Market Cross and received a reply within minutes. They reserved the watch for me to try, advised the branch where it was held and arranged a personal appointment for me. I was given a friendly welcome in the store (quite rare these days!) and all my questions were answered. The watch was altered to fit my wrist within minutes, and I was very impressed with the whole customer service experience. Thanks Matty and the team at Market Cross Jewellers.

The necklace and packaging were in perfect condition. Delivery was speedy, overall a great experience.

Ordered a link. They sent a cheaper one for same price. Wasn't happy at all. Apparently, it shouldn't have been that price online and didn't have it in stock anyway 🙄. Didn't think to email and ask did I want an alternative, until I received the item and I'd complained. Ended up getting it free.

I ordered my G-SHOCK watch and it was in my hands within 24 hours – super fast delivery! The watch is perfect, and Market Cross applied the official Casio discount automatically, which made the whole process really straightforward. Saw an ex display watch online that was advertised with some marks so asked if I could view it in person. Initially the service was good with photos (which were fine and made me ready to buy it) and a promise to send it to the metro centre store the following Wednesday from where someone would call me so I could go and see/buy it. The call never came, nor the next day, or a week later and I notice it is still advertised for sale online. I went to goldsmiths instead.

Fabulous as ever, I wanted to get something with money from my Dad. Gill ( hope I spelt it right!) was extremely patient with me and took time showing me lots of different pieces, I didn't feel rushed or pushed into making a decision. I left the shop extremely happy with my purchase. It is definitely the most knowledgeable and friendly store, which I will always return to.

Spoke to a very helpful chap on the phone about our purchase, placed the order and it arrived in 48 hours - well packed and in perfect condition.

Not quite 4* but more than a 3* service in all honesty, I d say 3.5 if that was possible.

Firstly price was very good for Tissot Prx white dial 40mm. Paid £224 which is a great price from an authorised dealer, the best I could find from an FD! The delivery was incredibly quick too. So that’s very impressive.

The watch itself however has small light scratches over a couple of the bracelet links (one of the links I was able to remove, the other is non-removable link) and was missing the protection plastic sticker wrap over the dial. However there is no damage at all on the dial, it’s in fantastic condition so perhaps that’s just me being fussy.

Back of the case and butterfly clasp had the protection plastic sticker/wrap like new watches from Tissot do. I immediately checked the watch with Tissot as I was concerned at authenticity with the missing plastic stickers/wrap but they put my mind at ease confirming the watch was genuine. Leading me to assume this watch was most likely a display model or customer return and that wasn’t advertised on their website, if I’d known I’d have rather paid more for a different unit. That being said I can’t see any other white 40s available either with them at the moment so that again makes me think it was a return or display unit.

Had I paid full price I’d have been more upset but as the watch was discounted to the best price I’ve seen for the white quartz 40mm I wouldn’t consider returning it myself.

Due to the light scratches, which are small and hard to see unless you are really looking for them, I can’t rate any higher which is a shame because the price was incredible from an AD for a Tissot Prx 40mm.

Market Cross Jewellers are excellent and I just cannot recommend them highly enough.
I purchased a Gucci ring on Saturday and it arrived on Monday morning, having been posted almost immediately via Royal Mail 24 Tracked service.

Ordered the latest MTG 4000 G-Shock watch online on a Saturday morning and it arrived at Plymouth by the following day. Free guaranteed next day delivery by Royal mail, signed and delivered in a good condition. After ordering some items online I received an email to let me know one of them was unavailable. They had checked with other stores and although it wasn’t available they offered a replacement or refund and I was very happy with the communication from them. Today I visited several jewellery stores in the Metrocentre Gateshead to browse for rings containing rubies as it is my Ruby Wedding Anniversary soon. I started at Market Cross Jewellers near M&S and spoke to a lovely member of staff called Susan who showed me some rings and let me take photos to show my husband. Having been to several other jewellery stores in the centre and having spoken to my husband I later returned to Market Cross Jewellers to order a ring I particularly liked. I spoke with Susan again and also Kim (who was not there earlier) both of whom appreciated my business. It was explained to me that as my size was not in stock that it would take about 4 weeks to arrive. Susan phoned me later to tell me that I could have one sized or wait a little longer for one to be made from scratch. I chose the latter. This store has lovely staff and jewellery at what in my opinion is affordable prices. I would certainly recommend this branch if you are looking for something special.
