Customers frequently described extreme difficulties reaching anyone by phone and noted that customer service representatives were often arrogant, unhelpful, and refused to listen. People also mentioned experiencing difficulties and stress regarding disputed charges or billing issues. HORRIBLE

If the stars for review allowed a negative number, I would use it. Absolutely vile, horrible, people. Bullies in the truest sense of the word.
Aggressive behaviour, threats made including "we'll be back in 2 hours with a few other lads too".

Oh - and FYI - for the particular debt they took payment from me - it wasn't actually legal, nor required and has since not been allocated to the company they were working for.

My advice to ANYONE who encounters them - RING THE POLICE.

Disgusting company using horrible…

Disgusting company using horrible enforcement agents I was told by the company that an agent would come to verify what needs to be verified instead of that happening an agent came and forced us to make payment threatening to take away belongings which don’t even belong to me ! Marston holdings should be shut down with immediate affect for this kind of behaviour

They are horrible

They are horrible! Got one bailiff in my property today, he knocked to the door when my wife opened he forced her and step inside without showing any ID and telling who he is. In property our son was sleeping because he wasn’t well to go to school. He not even allow my wife to speak just forced to pay and telling it will be more to pay if collecting good company will show up. He called police because my wife was “really aggressive”, she shout to him when he don’t want to listen what she saying. When I arrived again he don’t want to listen any explanation want to speak to pay huge amount for us in parts just forced to pay and again telling in 45 mins goods collecting company will arrive. I paid him just to get him out off our house, when he get out I told him you got your payment so f*** off, he asked me to go outside and he put me down, also telling he can easily kill me and start walking to his car. Police arrived he was laughing to them, they asked me about situation, tell them what he said but asked if I recorded this if not they can’t do anything. This is a mafia not company! Horrible experience.

Lowest of the low

Marstons have been contacting my Brother over a debt he has already paid. He tried to take his life earlier this year and is still being harassed and chased by these vile people. My brother is suffering with mental health issues and the pressure and stress this company has put my brother and my family under is unbearable. We have tried many times to explain my brother is vulnerable but emails do not even get responded too, they would rather have agents go and collect payment as this is how they make their money by adding on unfair and ridiculous charges and having vile thugs collect debts. A specific mention about a 'customer care' agent Jordan Crane who refused to accept my brother's vulnerability despite being in counselling and recovering from the attempt of taking his own life.

I received a phone call yesterday out…

I received a phone call yesterday out of the blue. I am extremely careful about paying everything I owe, I am not a bill dodger anything that happens is completely unintentional as was the case this time.

My car had been flashed by a ULEZ camera in Bristol in July last year. I have a company car which is ULEZ compliant and the car in question was actually being driven by my partner that day- we only use it on very rare occasions and is almost never driven by me these days though it is registered in my name.

The fine was from July last year and this was the very first I heard of it and the agent was trying to arrange a payment plan with me. As I had received no PCN from Bristol city Council or charge notice I was shocked at the demand for £273 I still don't know how much the original PCN was but I suspect it was significantly less.

I did hang up on the agent for which I apologise as I was so upset I couldn't speak, and I was out in public as well everyone was staring at me and I felt really humiliated. The agent wasn't rude or anything but I was devastated and couldn't really hear what he was saying as I was crying so hard.

I am not intentionally dodging anything and I don't dispute the fine, i object to the automatic assumption that seemed to be made that I dodged the original fine. I didn't I never got it and im sure the shock and confusion in my voice probably showed this.

Once I'd calmed down I called them back and paid in full, whilst repeatedly trying to reassure that I wasn't a bad person or a bill dodger as I was worried I was being judged that way and because people around me were staring.

Thinking it was finally over with paying, though still extremely upset and my day thoroughly ruined... over a fine for something I didn't even do I might add, I was devastated to get another phone call this morning to set up a payment plan even though I already paid.

Embarrassingly I just burst into tears again said I'd already paid and to leave me alone- I think he was trying to apologise but again I couldn't hear as I was so upset and embarrassed at what happened the day before I couldn't really hear.

I got my partner to ring back to check this was a cross over error it turned out it was but I was terrified I would have to pay more and that's what they were ringing for.

Records need to be checked before phoning people to set up payment plans, this bought it all flooding back to me, and now I'm terrified this will happen again and something else will happen that I had no idea I owed.

It feels really unfair. I work hard, I go out of my way to triple check everything to make sure this doesn't happen and I still get persued anyway due to poor admin.

I feel sick everytime my phone rings, my heart beats in my throat everytime there is a knock at the door or post- all because my partner didn't spend £9 to drive in a ULEZ.

Totally disproportionate actions to an offence I didn't even commit. The government should be ashamed of passing these alleged debts onto bailiffs.

I have never been in trouble with debt before and I feel so ashamed even though I didn't do anything. All because of the way this is handled.

Noone was rude to me I want to make that clear, I just think administration should be done better to prevent further upset.

The UK's answer to Mafia style debt collection

J495504
The UK's answer to Mafia style debt collection - they assume that you are guilty in a country where the burden of proof in law is that you are innocent until proven guilty.... having sold a car to someone who the following day got a parking ticket in London TFL sent me a parking ticket - i've provided endless evidence that the car was NOT mine and that it had been sold and I even provided them with the name and address of the new owner...
...still they keep pursuing, and bullying, and increasing the supposed debt and now threatening to send bailiffs to remove goods from my home for a fine committed by some random who bought a car from me with ever pursuing the perpetrator

Marston Fraud, lets start investigation

This company is a fraud and so are their hired goons. They do not send official letters; they just drop the letter with random reference numbers and demand money. You have no idea who your money owe to. They already used this tactic on us a couple times. Same phone number of the goon but changed name. We need to report this to FCA and stop this harassment. Pls send me an email and your story and i will make sure to start an inquiry and bring them into media. email me at hasina76athotmail.com

Do not give them your card details. They will take payments whenever they feel like it and you will not get it back.

Incompetent Evil Hopefuls

I'm still waiting for them to get back to me, after they sent out two intimidating anti gay obnoxious bailiffs, who tried to get money out of me for a debt that was successfully paid off a few years ago.

Intimidating bullies

Intimidating, rude and threatening! Last time I heard from marstons was November 2023 after I had sent a form making them aware of my daughters vulnerabilities. I tried to arrange a payment plan but they refused filled in a income expenditure they could see what I had left and still refused! After the form for my daughter was sent I heard nothing until one turned up! This morning he threatened me with prison said he had looked round property and looked in windows can see I'm poor! Nothing of value and wants full payment or forcing his way in! I asked him to please keep it down as my daughter can hear he said he doesn't care not his problem! I'm writing this from hospital my daughter tried to take her own life today. I understand they have to be stern but wow I have never known anything like it! I understand if people refuse to pay! But people can't afford to make ridiculous payments! Only what they can afford. Lady on phone no help and so rude makes me laugh when you ring them mentions treat all staff with respect but they can talk to you like rubbish. Made one call to a bailiff specialist they rang creditor put it on hold and now set a reasonable repayment plan. I wish I could message that particular bailiff my thoughts!

Marston Holdings have to be the most…

Marston Holdings have to be the most useless & inconsiderate company on our planet .. Impossible to speak to anybody within their organisation or be able to make a complaint .. Gloucestershire County Council should cease immediately to use their services.. I suffer from a serious heart problem but what do Marstons care about human kind .. We are all just a number !! .. I wrote to Glos Council complaining about a parking ticket (with photo evidence etc).. Did I get a reply … the answer is NO !! .. I then received a rude & threatening letter from Marstons as employed by Gloucestershire Council (weirdly based in Wiltshire !!) .. I would ,if possible, give Marstons a “minus 10” & certainly not a one * !! .. If there is anybody out there who knows how how to bring Marstons to Justice then PLEASE do so .. Best to all that have suffered .. Ben

Fraudulent.

I received a letter 12 months after the alleged infraction, tried to pay immediately. The website doesn´t work, their app doesn´t work, there is no email address, no one answers the phone. It is impossible to make a payment. Suddenly a bailiff shows up demanding entry. They are basically fraudsters who exist to falsely increase fines and harass people. Disgusting organisation, despicable people.

Mr Davies Intimidates Women For Fun!

After months of back and forth with these people I arrived home to a final demand and my property would be seized, the debt was for £98.92!! I was told by a man who only was named as “Mr Davies” he would be taking my things one way or another, he laughed at me down the phone wouldn’t even let me explain the situation. I explained i am a single parent and the debt in question is on hold, he then laughed at me again and said “don’t take the p*** I know you have someone to call” he said he would be back between 7-9pm that night I explained I have a young child in the house to which his reply was “not my problem I’m coming for you” he then proceeded to put the phone down on me! Absolutely speechless. I was clearly trying to find some common ground and get this issued resolved but was met with so much aggression and hostility. What these “people” fail to see is that we are all humans with a story and a history, a bit of compassion and understanding sometimes wouldn’t go a miss.

Still harassing even after cancelling

Court cancelled them as there was proof there had been major errors on their side with the initial fine but Martsons are refusing to acknowledge the cancellation and are still harrassing my partner and making threats.

Legalised Gang, Bullies and No real men

This company is essentially a Legal Gang! They bully and threaten their own customers and not just debtors.

They couldn't collect the debt I paid them to collect. Terrible company, they scammed me and now they're trying to send bailiffs to me for debt recovery services that they didn't provide to me as per contract.

how does that work?????

Bullies and liars

I had the misfortune of dealing with them when they were Rossendale Collect. They called my number and asked to speak to some woman who I didn't know. I informed them that I didn't know the person. They had a different address for her and I explained that the phone number had obviously been recycled. This wasn't enough. They continued to harass me even after I made several complaints. I refused to give them my personal details as I was not the person they were chasing and it wasn't my debt. Eventually I contacted the Information Commissioners Office and they advised me how to deal with them
