Marvel attended the property to look at a blocked kitchen sink. Their ‘engineer’ was literally there for 5 minutes and said he couldn’t unblock it with rods….so that cost us £120. Marvel then provided a further quote of £200 to revisit and pour some drain block down the sink (but again pointed out there was no guarantee it would work!). Told them no thanks. We would be £320 and in the same position. I should have just called Dynorod to start with. Avoid !!!

Top company.. Great people.. Efficient and will go over and above to get you sorted

Nothing but problem with this company since I had my heating system put in. It appears nobody actually knows what's going on and can do a proper job extremely frustrating a year on n still not resolved. Money spent that I would not have spent.

Despite the initial misunderstanding of time of the plumbing engineer's visit to our property, I would recommend this firm: prompt response, swift in finding the right person for the job and kind admin staff

Marvel provided a very poor service. They incorrectly diagnosed a problem, charged a lot of money and then have been reluctant to do any follow up. In addition, unlike another services company which gave me honest and effective advice to fix my problem free of charge, Marvel instead saw an opportunity to make money and did not help an inexperienced customer. I have been very disappointed with them. It appears (according to Companies House records) that the company has not been doing very well, and therefore there was pressure to get cash in. There have been a lot of issues and pressures on the company. As a result, the company was prepared to set aside honesty and sincerity. The previous MD has recently left the business, so perhaps the company will now move in a more honest direction.

Update: do not be fooled by the reply below. I ended up spending a lot of money with Marvel that I would not have spent had they been an honest and sincere company. Every experience is different, however in my situation they prioritised getting cash in over honestly assessing the problem and helping me to resolve it even if it meant a referral that they would not earn money from. Please be very wary of using them and go into any transaction with your eyes open.

Further update: the owner attempted to get my comments removed from this website due to concern about me presenting the truth. I had to verify my custom with the website. Please look carefully at reviews from accounts with no other reviews for any other companies that are on display on here.

Further update: what a surprise the company has been taken over. It was a failing company providing a very poor service. I hope the new owners are able to turn things around and not continue taking people's money for a poor service whilst getting friends and family to post positive reviews.

Very straightforward and reliable process for booking a job.
They did a very thorough job on the boiler and offered a good and reliable service that is quite rare in London these days.

I have used Marvel twice - they are super efficient, tidy and polite.
Will definitely use again. They also able to do other jobs around the home - not just plumbing. They will be my 'go to' from now on.

Marvel did a fantastic job. The works turned out to be much more complex than we imagined but they came up with a creative solution and Lisa Catto in particular moved heaven and earth to make sure it was finished in time for our tenants. Thank you team Marvel!

I have had a couple of great experiences with Marvel. They are quick to respond, supportive and give clear information. Their engineers have always been very efficient, informative and respectful. Would certainly use them again.
