After winning a narrow boat competition, the boat was being built to my specifications.
The company went into liquidation during the build leaving me with a part finished boat. So very disappointed.

I ordered sandals which were not suitable and uncomfortable. I requested a refund which was promised when I ordered them. However they gave me 3 options-1. to replace with something else and donate a £10 for delivery, 2. to keep the sandals and get a 10% refund or 3. return them to China costing more than £20+ and for a full refund So I chose the second option reluctantly. From now on I will check the return address before I order anything on line. It's a con. Do not touch my advice.

My name is Zoe Jeffery and I am the incredibly lucky winner of Summer Bee, the beautiful narrowboat from the Marwood Makes competition on 23rd May 2024.

For two years before entering, I completely fell in love with the idea of living on the water. I dreamed about it every day—cruising the canals, doing the everyday boat chores, and just soaking up life in a floating home. It became the thing I wanted most in the world. I truly believe in manifestation, and Marwood Makes brought that dream to life.

Molly and Jason are two of the most wonderful, genuine people I’ve ever met. Their warmth, creativity, and generosity made something extraordinary possible. They didn’t just give away a boat, they gave me a whole new life.

Ten months on, I’m living confidently aboard Summer Bee, learning more every day, enjoying cruising, and planning some big adventures ahead. If you ever doubt that dreams can come true—trust me, they absolutely can. Thank you, Marwood Makes, from the bottom of my heart. Sorry I haven't done this review sooner.

I purchased a couple of tickets for the win a boat up to £100000. I was unaware of the cash draw that took place prior to the main draw. Marwood contacted me and informed me I had won £3000 in the cash draw. I was delighted and surprised and was nervous that this was too good to be true, but I checked their website before committing to supplying my details and within a couple of hours £3000 had been deposited into my account.

What a fantastic surprise to receive an early morning phone call from Jason at Marwood Makes. He let me know that I was the winner of the monthly cash draw. We spent several minutes talking about boats, the time and effort needed to ensure projects were a success. This is where Marwood Makes excels. A small family run business where effort and quality are paramount, the team are hardworking and dedicated bringing dreams to life. I can recommend them as a genuine and trustworthy team and wish them all the best for the future.

It’s a cliche to say I never win anything but I absolutely did :) the woundefull people at Marwood makes were in touch with me this morning to let me know I’d won an early bird prize they could not have been kinder or more professional if they tried and I had the prize in my bank account in no time at all . I highly recommend marwood makes there lovely people and I will definitely be taking part again in there up coming events .

I recently won the second prize a Norwegian cruise up to value of £5,000.
Jason is a lovely guy to deal with, he was excited for us and showd a genuine interest.

Every time they have a draw their website crashes meaning people are unable to buy tickets as it gets closer to the draw date.

And every time someone writes a negative review on here they report it for defamation and it gets taken down.

If you don’t want negative reviews then you should address your issues, and not try to hide them by getting honest and truthful reviews removed!

marwood makes is a fantastic little family-run company that makes amazing things happen—like when i won £4000 from them over christmas! without being cliche, this money has allowed me to move to london and follow my dream in the city. their communication has been incredibly quick, and their social media is always friendly and fun. they’re constantly putting out great quality narrowboat photos and blogs, which are such a pleasure to follow. every interaction i’ve had with them has been really lovely, and they just seem like such genuinly kind people. i wish them all the best and honestly couldn’t y them more!

Last night I received a call from jason to tell me I had won 3rd prize in the competition.This is truly amazing & I still can’t believe this has happened to me.Marwood Makes are a great family run Buisness that make peoples dreams come true.Thankyou!

I always enter the competitions. Winners are always treated brilliantly, and I hope to be one one day! Very enterprising and honest company.

My name is Terry Oliver I've been around & involved with canal boats & coastal cruisers for many years. some people not easy to deal with, some very negative, mostly good folk thank goodness.
I don't understand why there are negative reviews about Marwood Makes, Mollie & Jason. I have ALWAYS found them very good when I've e-mailed them about something regarding their boat competitions.
And when Marwood Makes have had any issues or things gone haywire with their website, Mollie and Jason have ALWAYS come out front about any problems AND let us know when the problems have been corrected.
I enter Marwood Makes boat competitions like many other people.

Given their IT issues I have found this company to be very transparent about their website problems. Having worked in IT for many years I can completely understand the frustration but I find Marwood Makes to have been extremely good communicators regarding the problems. It’s a work in progress and a very small company so I’m prepared to be patient.

I am seeing some very unkind and undeserved negative comments about Marwood Makes - I have been entering their competitions for some time now, and yes, they are experiencing great difficulties and challenges with their website, which cannot be helped, and should not be held against them! I think that is very unfair! This is a wonderful competition and I am 100% behind them and feel confident in vouching for their integrity and hard work. It is not easy putting on a competition like this and it is hard work building these magnificent boats! Stop complaining and try to put yourself in their shoes and try to be a little more supportive and encouraging whilst they go through these teething problems with their website!

I was the lucky winner of one of their prizes at the end of last year.
From the initial phone call telling me I had won, to delivery of the boat last month, the whole experience has been amazing. Jason & Mollie are lovely, genuine people who have been incredibly supportive and delivered everything they promised.
Even now, they are happy to help me out with advice and are really interested in my boating journey.
Entering their competition was definitely the best decision I’ve made.

Very simple and clear objective to try and win a boat!! I appreciate there's been a few teething issues but I've had good communication from the company assurance.

This is a homegrown company, not one of your elitist companies making money for old rope. I'm content that Molly and Jason are honest and that's all I need to be able to enter a comp. Well done and thanks.
