Is this a scam???

I tried 3 times to order gift cards on this site. The first 2 times the order was rejected supposedly because my bank refused the credit card charge, which Citibank assures me they had no reason to do. The 3rd time I used the PayPal option, received a confirmation of payment from PayPal and another rejection of the order from MastcardGiftCards.com. The company customer service (obviously offshore) claims they raised the issue to their Fraud Department who insists that the bank refused the charge. Customer service considers the issue resolved and can only suggest that I try to place the order again. No way. This has to be a scam operation.

Beyond terrible they put my card on hold and then froze my card for no reason terrible customer svc i dont wan another gift card so it can be frozen i want a refund. They dont want to give it .
Hundreds of dollars wasted they shoud be reported to BBB no 6.00 refund purchase either. Stay far away from mastercard gift cards. They are the scam you should be worried about. Customer service the feel entitled to freeze your card and hinder and joke about messing with something should be enjoyable giving a gift. Never use mastercard.com gift cards. Stay Away.

Scam! Will hold you money! C.s.r. Joke!!

Scam! Save your money and just give cash as a gift! Don’t let them give the person you’re getting the gift card for all the hassle! I will NEVER buy one of these again and I want to spread the word on social media! I don’t want anyone to be put in a situation where they have a card I gave them as a gift and they try to use it and it’s “pending” then they have to wait a week to get money back on the card and it is a continuous cycle. Customer service is a JOKE! You have my money so why are you holding it from the person I gifted it too! Reading off a script over and over and not actually answering or solving my questions or the problem! Then no supervisor to talk to, can’t call you back and always not available! Totally unacceptable and I wish more people knew about this and I’m going to make it a mission for you guys to lose as much business as I can! Sorry excuse for anyway to do business and to help people with your own merchandise!

Don’t buy these Giftcards!

I’m with these other person zero stars! These gift cards are trash! They constantly have to replace my cards due to fraud and I’m the person who did the transaction! I buy these stupid cards for my son and have way toooo many issues with this Mastercard! Don’t buy!

Zero Stars!

I am giving 1 star because I don't see an option for zero stars. I highly recommend the general public to not purchase the MastercardGiftCard.com cards as a gift for family and friends. Registering, getting card balance, and getting customers support is virtually impossible. I have been given several gift cards for birthday gifts and have had more trouble than they are worth to use your gift. Don't do it, just give cash and your family and friends will be able to make a purchase instead of getting non-working websites, endless automated phone recordings, and unhelpful none English-speaking customer support if you wait on the phone long enough for someone to pick-up. Please send these companies a message that customers deserve better service and they are stealing consumer money when a card is purchased and the receiver is unable to use the card to make a purchase. Don't buy these cards, PLEASE!

Zero stars!!!

Zero stars!!!! Our company purchased gift cards for employees for an out of town trip. Much to our surprise some of our cards were put on hold for security reasons! Their only solution was to send a new card…which will take 3-5 business days. Definitely will not help us this trip because we have to come out of pocket for our expenses now. Customer service was no help at all. They should at least be able to do an e-gift card or refund it back to the card purchased. Ridiculous hoops to jump through for a gift card. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!

I was given this gift card for…Christmas 2024

I was given this gift card for Christmas 2024, it's February 2026 and I have been unable to use it. I have tried in person and online. If you can ever get through to customer service, it's joke. In a nutshell, after asking the representative 3 or 4 times to slow down because her native dialect is foreign to me, I was told I just will have to keep trying it at different merchants until I find one that does not "save my card info". I wonder how much money this company has kept from people who can't get their gift cards to work. DO NOT PURCHASE THE MASTERCARD GIFT CARDS AS A GIFT UNLESS YOU WANT TO CAUSE THE RECIPIENT MAJOR AGGRAVATION!

I activated my gift card today

I activated my gift card today. I was wiped out by a scammer within an hour of activating my card. I cannot get any help. I am unable to dispute since the transaction is still pending. Yet the website directs you to report problem immediately. I can't. I get hung up on at the customer service number. I AM LIVID AND SICK because of this. People really suck.

Rotten Customer Service at Mastercard Gift Cards

I am trying to reach someone to get help with a card I bought as a gift. When the recipient tried to use it, she was informed that it had no balance due to an expenditure she had NOT made. Customer service for Mastercard gift cards is as good as nonexistent - either via phone or online.

Honestly, the worst prepaid gift card ever. I can't buy anything online with this card because all my purchases are apparently fraud. Lol. I try to spend 15 dollars? "fraud". 25? Fraud. 50? Fraud. The help options are literally useless too. "Send us PHYSICAL MAIL? or call and wait for an hour to talk to this guy who can't understand or help you." LMAO. Physical mail in 2026. Seriously. It is time to implement one of those virtual assistant bots like literally every other company has. My bad for not checking the reviews before I trusted it to work.

Mastercard is a very dishonest financial credit company. I received a debit card from AT&T and read the manual. There was no expiration date on the card. I started using it and when I called today to find out my balance, I was told it expired and the company is going to mail me a new card. Also they charged me a maintenance fee of $6.00 per month not disclosed in the manual.
I would highly suggest you to use your debit card upon receipt.

BEWARE! Just say "NO!" to Master Card Gift Cards

Received a MC "gift" card for Xmas. Awful! First attempt at purchase, "Declined". Second attempt "Declined"! AHA! But wait.....my 3rd attempt at a purchase was decline...due to "zero balance". Turns out they removed my money for both declined purchases. The vendor at the first 2 transactions did NOT receive the funds. I tried 2 separate MC phone numbers. It took me 45 minute to access a human being....sorry...a clueless human being! She said my funds would, "Be returned from the vendor"....(the vendor who never RECEIVED the funds)....in 2 days. The customer "care" person gave me no recourse if I do not receive the money they took from me, within the "2 days" Do not....repeat....D O NOT purchase Master Card gift cards. D I S G U S T I N G!

This card is straight garbage. I made a $25 gas purchase with the $25 gift card, the card was declined. No help with resolving the issue from anyone. The 1(833) number sends me to the website where I received no help there either. I read that there could possibly be a hold on the funds, until the purchase clears. But remember there was no purchase made, because it was declined. Why the possible hold or pending transaction.

USPS wouldnt insure it because its a gift card. "we are not supposed to..."Thanks USPS!!! Out $360 gift card and I will need to send a replacement. Meanwhile the giftcard industry pockets billions in unused cards according to a 2019 study.

Absolute horseshit card

Absolute horseshit card. I got a $25 card for Christmas & tried to use it. It automatically declined- & no this was not user error, I made sure to activate my card and check the status before going in store to make a purchase. With any other gift-card like this (specifically the visa ones aka the better option) if your total charge is more than the amount on your card it just takes the card amount and you pay the difference. Instead I was completely embarrassed by the cashier with crowds of people behind me watching as she said it declined and there was no balance. I had to end up using cash which I was saving for a different purchase. I then check the website again & my status says I have to call the number on the back of the card. I proceed to wait TWENTY-FIVE minutes before ever hearing the voice of a real person. Who THEN tells me I’m shit out of luck and I have to be sent an entire new card which will arrive in two weeks. Don’t waste your time and buy this card, go with the Visa gift cards!! They have never been this much of a pain & now I feel like I have to go leave a 5 star review for them because this card has pissed me off so much. Happy holidays

If I could give this 0 stars I would!!!! Feels like a scam! $100 in gift cards that I cannot use and no live representative to speak with!! Soooooo frustrating!!!!! Scam. Scam. Scam.

Updated- after numerous emails they sent me another card with the funds available. I used it immediately. It worked. Still not worth the hassle and would never purchase again but for anyone that is in this position, keep emailing!

Complete trash card is worthless..$200 and cant buy anything because it gets flagged as fraudulent..call customer service they are all in india..they are dumb a$$e$ and have no idea what they are even saying. I would highly recommend to never buy a gift card from them ever!
