We bought the 1920’s game as a focal point for New Year’s Eve. 11 of us got dressed up and it really added some content and fun into the evening . My husband was organiser and host. I recommend you definitely have an organiser so that things go smoothly. There does need to be a level of studying the digital content, prior to the event.

The guilty and not guilty versions of each character were not meaningfully different. Because the guilty versions lacked distinct evidence or timeline conflicts, they did not give the other players any real clues to determine who was responsible.

As a result, while the game was an enjoyable pastime, the final reveal was quite disappointing, since there was essentially no way to deduce the correct traitor.

Additionally, the evidence introduced in the different rounds did little to help solve the murder, which further reduced the sense of investigation and payoff.

We used this as the theme of our Friend Christmas Party, and it was a hit! Our guests ranged from 7 through adults. The scripts were easy to follow, and the characters were a blast! We can't wait to get another game to recreate the fun!

We had such a great experience with Masters of Mystery. I hosted it at our house for my daughter’s 17th birthday, and she chose the Royal Family theme. Her friends are mostly theatre kids, so they really leaned into the characters and had a blast from start to finish.

What really stood out to me was how supported I felt as the host. The prep was very doable, and I loved all the suggestions they included—things like food ideas, atmosphere tips, and even a playlist. The recordings from the Marshal of the Realm were a nice touch and helped keep everything moving without feeling awkward or forced.

If I were to do anything differently, I’d probably spend a little more time reviewing the host role ahead of time, just to feel extra confident. That said, once we got going, everything flowed really well. I also appreciate that the mystery is randomized each time, so it doesn’t feel like a one-and-done experience.

Overall, it was fun, engaging, and genuinely memorable. I’d definitely recommend Masters of Mystery, especially for teen parties or groups that enjoy getting into character.

This was really poor. We had previously done a ‘Mystery Guides’ puzzle in Manchester and had a great time. Thought this would be similar. Sadly, came nowhere near.
The puzzles were not only poor, they held no jeopardy. All you needed to do was turn the page and it was spelt out. There was no working out needed to find the murderer.
Also (obviously not the fault of ‘Unsolved Trails’) we could not reach one inf the clues due to building work. It didn’t matter though as the text in the trails booklet explained the situation anyway .

For a group of friends that have never done a murder mystery, this was great experience. We had scripts that told you how it would all go, videos to help everyone know what was going on and the characters you could chose from were brilliant and a play on words. Everyone got really into it.
We will be doing more and would highly recommend!

I hosted a couple of murder mystery nights with this game at a fly in-fly out work camp for an evening activity between coworkers.

- the Character backstories and script are funny.

- the Character relationships for this game matched the actual work relationships between those playing

- it has equal participation between all players so no one feels left out.

- the game is scripted and allows for improve which lets the quieter people know what they need to say without the social anxiety of thinking on the spot, and lets the more social people act out a character to their hearts content.

- It is a re-playable murder mystery game with different outcomes each play through which makes it a lot a better purchase than the linear story murder mysteries that only have the same killer.

- you can mix up each play through with different character combinations so everyone playing has a broader selection of characters to choose from.

- there are ways to shorten the game for a time crunch and you can play a longer stretched out game to allow people to play out their characters a bit more if the group is into role play.

When I required more information or a file to be sent in a different format, the CS team were nothing short of fantastic, particularly John and Jess.

We purchased a murder mystery digital download from Masters of Mystery and were not disappointed! A fantastic, fun evening for a group of 12 friends. I contacted customer service to purchase a player expansion pack and they were very helpful and responsive. Thanks so much Masters of Mystery! Highly recommend.

Ordered on 18th December, still not arrived. After finally receiving a response to my email I was told 'it's been delivered'. When I asked to see a photo of where it was delivered or a name of who signed for it, I was told to check a safe place or with neighbors. I haven't been offered a refund or for it to be resent to me.

I paid £30 and I'm now convinced this is a scam.

I also never received any confirmation of my order purchase, and no email updates on shipping etc. Luckily I took screenshots.

Avoid this company.

First time using one of these games & definitely won’t be the last! Really easy to use, simple instructions & such a fun game! Everyone really got into their characters, we had such fun dressing up & getting into the theme. The game itself was easy to follow, really funny & the 80’s vibe was on point! Definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for something a little bit different for a party or group gathering.

When I decided to purchase this game, I was very hesitant as it was something I had never done before. However, the service I received was absolutely amazing. The team was incredibly helpful and guided me whenever I didn’t understand what I needed to do.

The experience exceeded my expectations — my night was amazing and everyone had so much fun. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone considering it.

One thing I would suggest is that before you play the game ensure you understand how it works and get all the info. And print all documents.

A really fun game. We played it as a family and dressed up in 1920 style. The game was easy to play. I was the murderer and no one guess… only my husband. Lots of characters to choose from too.

There was no problems everything sent through right away and I could print it off. Me and my friends had a great afternoon and the characters were very fun.

We ordered The Mystery at the Museum for my 11 year old daughter’s birthday party. Her friends came dressed for their character. It was so much fun! The game has a detailed guide that leads you through everything from invitations, suggested costumes, scripts, audio recordings and more. We really enjoyed it and will do it again!

The Mascarade game is engaging and interesting. We even translated it into Lithuanian and adapted it for 12-year-old teenagers.
However, we made a mistake by ordering an online game instead of the box my daughter wanted. But we were reimbursed without a problem. It was unexpected to receive quick and friendly communication.

The digital murder mystery package had everything I could want, from menu ideas and recipes (which are still used regularly), through costume ideas, to a Spotify playlist to set the mood. I couldn't think of anything else I would want included. It was my first time hosting and everything was explained so simply.

I bought Mystery of the Magic Pencil for my daughter’s 9th birthday party. The girls dressed up in their favorite dresses and we had a tea party. The mystery packet was easy to print and to follow. The girls loved every minute of it! Their favorite part was the questioning and accusations. It took us about 75 minutes to complete. I would recommend this particular game for ages 9-12. Customer service is great too!
