A bit overwhelming smell, but it's cool!

I've ordered a few batches of perfume, the packaging was incredibly nice and it was already pre-sprayed with the lovely scents. Even though the smell was not what I expected completely, it was a pleasant surprise when I put it on my skin nonetheless. Maxaroma truly rocks!

They take zero responsibility for their…

They take zero responsibility for their packages not being delivered. Customer service is beyond rude and will not respond after 1 message. They also have watered down cologne, I bought $100 Million elixir bottle that lost it smell after 10 minutes as well. I tried them out because I had a 40% off, Never again. There’s too much places to buy from to lose money with them, just a heads up for people that don’t like being ripped off.

Biggest Scams to date

This perfume company has to be one of the biggest scams to date. All four of my perfume smelled like 90% alcohol. I couldn’t even smell the Fragrance notes at all. I bought four and they all smelt the same. Now they are trying to take a high percentage out of my return because I decided to return all 4!!
You guys did a great job of scamming me out of my money!

Check all the bottles you got from Maxaroma

I purchased a bottle of Jovoy Fire at Will from them last February 15, 2023. The bottle was kept in a temperature controlled closet in its original packaging, I opened it today and compared it with the same fragrance that I got from Jovoy Paris and it is so different. The one from Maxaroma smelled like strong alcohol and musk. I could have gotten a bad batch or they could have sold me a bottle with fake fragrance in it.

Make me understand...

Placed my first order with Maxaroma today and typoed my email address. I called customer support to have it corrected and they told me it was impossible. I emailed customer support who emailed me back to tell me that the person on the phone was correct and they can't help me. They must be the only vendor unable or, unwilling more probably, to edit customer account information. Now I won't get shipping updates or sales updates etc. I just can't take this type of nonsensical, anti-customer, frustrating insanity of so many vendor's these days. It's to the point I don't even try more than once. I'll just never make a purchase with a vendor again when they show incompetence to this level. It becomes exhausting just doing simple things, wading through phone menus and or, speaking with a person you can barely understand, then not getting a resolution as they happily tell you goodbye. It sure would be nice to speak with English speaking American's on a customer support call. Traitorous companies anyway.

I have placed two separate orders with…

I have placed two separate orders with this company in last 4 weeks. Delivery is excellent and fast. The issue is legitimacy of items sold as none of the bottles (4x) I have recived smell remotely close to brands you can smell in department store. Extremely disappointing as I ordered based on high rating on trust pilot. I guess I learned my lesson and I will just purchase items from physical stores from this point onward.

Fake or Old.

We came across this website right before last Christmas. We liked the discounts they were offering. My wife and I bought around $2000 worth for Christmas presents after reading good reviews. This week we just found out that most of what we bought are FAKE and the rest was legit but old which means longevity is 2 to 3 hours max. It was embarrassing for us to give our friends and family bad Christmas presents. Obviously we can’t return any of it now. One more thing they canceled one of my orders 3 times because my Bank cancelled it they stated and when I called my bank I found out that was a lie and my bank has nothing to do with it and when I emailed them about it they replied back saying that they want a picture of my credit card and a picture of my ID ( very sketchy). Their customer service is the worst customer service on planet earth. For whoever reading that I say if you are going to spent $200 on a cologne I promise it’s worth it to pay $250 on the brand website.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service, do not purchase the shipping insurance, they pick and choose what to approve and deny even with police report....will never do business with them again, filing a class action lawsuit in the next week

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!

I ordered one bottle of Prada perfume on December 18th to deliver by Christmas according to Maxaroma. Today is December 23, 2023 and it hasn’t even shipped yet!!! It’s been sitting in Long Island “pending”. They said it would be delivered by Christmas. There is no way it will get here in 2 days! They don’t email me back either. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!

Not for Aussies

Thought I’d treat myself with a few niche fragrance samples for Christmas and with a free gift & samples on offer, I placed my order for shipping to Australia. My order arrived today and none of the samples smell of anything but alcohol. The free gifts include an ugly tote bag and only one fragrance sample (you created an expectation of multiple by stating samples). Very disappointed. Not worth the exorbitant shipping cost if products are compromised and you fail to deliver on a deal. Spend your hard earned money in Australia!

Dead on Arrival

I'm not sure what's going on at Maxaroma.com but I've received 2 fragrances that have arrived smelling like nothing but alcohol. I took the liberty to travel to 3 fragrance stores between Chicago and Indianapolis to smell the fragrances directly. What I found is that the Silky Woods and Red Tabacco that I ordered smelled nothing like their offline counterparts. It would seem that Maxaroma claims that fragrances are authentic but that's not a guarantee that they will be stored well enough not to be expired. I understand that their fragrances are heavily discounted but is that at the cost of quality? I've decided that I'd rather pay the higher cost to get the results I want for the money that l'm spending. They say you get what you pay for. Silky Woods was 120 dollars cheaper than the direct website so I can see why now. Red Tabacco is supposed to rival PDM, but how when I received something without a smell to it? Either they're fake or poorly stored.

Note: I called customer service about the issue and was told that it made no sense to get a replacement as all of the product would most likely to be the same. How does that make sense UNLESS they knew that they've been selling bad/expired batches?

Horrible customer service

I have made numerous purchases from Maxorama and always been very happy with the purchases, however they always say you can tell how good a place is by when things go wrong.

A recent purchase that was listed as delivered was seemingly misdelivered as I never received it.

I have been arguing with Maxorama for the better part of 3 weeks now, I filed the police report as they requested, provided the police report number but they insist I pay money (approx $60 - it’s the total refund is only $247) out of pocket to obtain a copy of the report to send to them for their insurance dept.

They claim they tried calling the police to verify the report but the police never answered … this is NOT possible.

I have never had to go through such process for a refund for any other company when something has happened.

On top of this they will not even confirm they will refund me once I buy and send the report meaning I could be out even more money!

This is absolutely poor customer service for a repeat customer on such a small amount of money.

I’m not sure I will ever purchase from this company again after this experience, I’m almost at the point of just walking away from the refund and giving up so I don’t lose more money on the police report, so sad to be treated like this!
