When the machine works it's really good…

When the machine works it's really good the XL module with the shocks and big foot rest. The bearings and phone holder regularly break and parts are limited..customer service barely speak English. I asked for a new machine I have received no response..

If customer support is important... to you…

If customer support is important to you then you may want to steer clear of this company! First I will say I have really liked my Maxclimber XL but some of the silicone rollers have split apart and I am concerned that they may lock up while exercising and potentially cause me an injury so I have emailed help@maxclimber twice asking if either they could send me new rollers or if I could purchase new rollers and it seems like Customer support is non existent because whomever sends a reply just replies with the Maxclimber logo but with nothing else maybe just trying to show that they replied so they adhere to their reply policy but there is nothing in the email and the 2nd time no reply at all. I was not asking for something free especially because my machine is 3+ years old and so I was willing to pay for the new rollers but again silent and I am afraid to get an injury. I do not think I would purchase another one based on this experience!

Dangerously Defective

Dangerously Defective. Do NOT Buy. This machine isn't just disappointing—it’s potentially hazardous. After fewer than ten light workouts, the cheap plastic pulleys were already falling apart, causing the handlebar to release sharp metal debris into the air and around the base. It was like exercising inside a malfunctioning blender. The handlebar felt unstable enough to snap off mid-use, posing serious injury risk.
Even though this clear equipment failure happened almost immediately, the company smugly refused to replace the defective pulley since our purchase was over a year ago, even though it’s barely been used. They expect customers to pay out of pocket to fix what never should’ve failed. And these aren’t easy-to-swap parts—accessing and replacing the broken cheap pulleys, which inevitably will break again, requires borderline disassembly of the entire unit. So even if you shell out more cash, you’re stuck with an endless loop of wasting time and money.
Bottom line: Unless you’re hunting for an overpriced coat rack or a fast way to inhale a cloud of steel dust, stay FAR away. This thing gave me more of a workout trying to build it than using it. Until Maxiclimber fix their materials, design, and customer support, this equipment belongs in a scrapyard—not your home.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service, used this machine under 2 hours total. Got the maxi climber xl 2000. #33 wheels are shredding, the cylinders make lots of noise on lower levels, there is a burning smell, and customer service is horrible. They said I should be lubing the wheels and the shredding pieces falling off the wheel is normal. Way to back your product maxiclimber. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!

Horrible customer service and defective…

Horrible customer service and defective unit. I bought a MaxiClimber XL 2000 and was not able to put it together as one of the knobs would not unscrew, making it so I could not put the unit together. I emailed/called them many times and tried everything they suggested but nothing would make the screw turn. I asked to get a replacement or refund and they refused to replace the defective item and said I could get a refund but I would need to ship the unit back to them. The box was huge and would be way too expensive to ship back. Their 30 day guarantee is only if you pay to get it shipped back to them and it does not matter if they item they shipped you was broken/defective. Nowhere on their website does it state this. Will never do business with them again.

Waste of money

I received my climber today on 2/14 and was very disappointed in the quality as well as there’s zero resistance on the machine.I called customer service and was told return shipping was my responsibility which is stated in the facts.Good luck finding this information it’s buried on the site. Its very clear that it can be returned within thirty days but nowhere on the site does it explain how to do this.I will never recommend this company to anyone it’s a very deceptive business practice to not have the return policy clearly written.

The machine is ok but…

The machine is ok but the display is a joke, the pistons don’t maintain their resistance once they are warmed up and the thing that frustrates me the most is that you can’t buy the cross/crawl handlebars unless you buy them as part of a package. This package wasn’t offered when I purchased my machine. I can’t spend another $500 just to get the handlebars and I shouldn’t have to.

A nice product

The Maxi Climber XL is a really nice looking product. Assembly was easy (except for the pedal straps), and the company behind the product is great before and after the purchase. I would've like to have seen an electronic console (rather than rely on my own device), but other than that no major complaints.

The clip broke off for the phone holder…

The clip broke off for the phone holder the first day we brought it home. Badly designed phone holder. Then a year of barely using it as we were putting it away the bottom piece where it folds snapped off too. We were able to get a replacement but they unfortunately sent it to the wrong place and now they cannot locate a new piece for me and it has been over two months since I've asked for replacement parts. The lack of communication is extremely unfortunate. I keep having to pester them about where my parts are and no one has a clue when the new one will come in. I recommend you all to get something else. A stationary bike might be a better investment than this.

This company is the worst

This company is the worst - with a lack of info on their site or ig, I was under the impression when I clicked on the ad I was purchasing something with resistance but it wasn’t- few weeks later I see there are two versions of the machine. I reached out to the company and their refused to do anything about it - literally just emailed and told me I’m past the 30 day warranty and that my only
Option is to buy another one. This machine is crap and does NOTHING for you it’s a joke - I would never order the newer machine after I was treated that way.

This is clearly a very poorly run…

This is clearly a very poorly run business. My entire experience has been frustrating and horrible. The only thing Maxiclimber has been able to accomplish is charging my card. I deeply regret placing my order, and all the time I have wasted tracking it down. I'm now cutting my losses, giving up on trying to work with this company and disputing the charge with American Express.

Worst purchase ever!!!!

You wait forever for the product to come for it only to be damaged because inappropriate packaging. The customer service is the WORST I have ever seen. Please save your money and buy something else. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. If I could make it ZERO instead of 1, I would.
