A mistake to use this company

A mistake to use this company

Products are questionable and come without (specialist) fixings.
Unbelievably poor customer service.
Technical assistance non-existent.

I have purchased freestanding chrome standpipes (plus taps) from Mayfair.
They think it is acceptable to supply these without fixings, yet have no idea what fixings are appropriate.
Even in their own showroom, they don't bother to source matching chrome screws
They think it appropriate to laugh at the customer for asking and advise using any crap answer that comes to mind when pushed.

Simon.... it's really not good service to laugh at someone when you have no idea what you are talking about.

Be warned... allow for making at least three calls if you want to speak to technical help, because they usually don't ring back.

I have yet to complete the installation of the bath tap & standpipes (no thanks again to Mayfair), so have yet to experience how they perform.
However, the basin tap has a flow pattern that varies from poor to adequate depending on the speed of flow.

I have been advised (by someone who knows a lot more than me) that the standpipes (ACC089) look of reasonable quality, but the bath tap (RDL015) is likely to lack durability.

God... I wish I'd spent a few more quid on a reputable manufacturer!

Looks good but substandard

Their products certainly look the part and appear to be well priced from well known outlets - however the internal components are substandard and do not last even under below average use. They don't accept this and you will have to pay for replacements meaning that in the long term their products will cost you far more than high end taps. I am used to taps that will last the lifetime of a bathroom/kitchen, not need regular maintenance - you won't get this from Mayfair so my advice is go elsewhere.
