McCabes Pharmacy group is a 100% Irish owned and operated chain of pharmacies and was founded in 1977 when Roy and Margaret McCabe returned home from Australia after emigrating 10 years earlier. They understood the need for a more complete healthcare solution, one that encompassed both traditional health care and dispensing along with new market leading services such as Cholesterol and blood pressure health checks. The group grew over the years with three of the four McCabes sisters all being involved in the business, involvement that continues to this day. McCabes Pharmacy group now operates over 30 stores nationwide and continues to be a pioneer in the Irish pharmacy market, offering the innovative products and exceptional service that Roy and Margaret founded the business on 40 years ago

McCabes Charlesland bad service

McCabes Charlesland. I bought expensive diabetes sensors from this pharmacy who know me well. One of the sensors was faulty and my wife called in to get it replaced. They were rude and offhand to her. They refused to change the sensor in complete breach of the consumer rights act and told us we needed to contact the manufacturers ourselves. With the exception of Mary, staff there are unfriendly. No manager or pharmacist ever comes out to deal with unhappy customers. Very poor customer service.

Noeleen in mccabes Rowlagh, is a true asset to the company, so helpful to everybody, and very pleasant. Goes out of her way to try and help you. Great with elderly too. Very compassionate lady. I always love to see her in shop when I go in. Very efficient.

Customer service is awful

Avoid the customer service is awful and they refuse to cancel orders and give refunds. I had a very bad experience with this pharmacy recently, i placed an order and contacted customer service the next day to cancel, the item had not been dispatched but they refused to cancel and sent it to me anyway. I refused to accept the delivery as I had advised several times not to send it to me. The package was returned by An Post and I still havent received a refund. The customer service is very poor and I have zero trust in companies that ignore customers requests to cancel orders and send them items against their will.

I wish I had checked trust pilot before…

I wish I had checked trust pilot before I ordered from McCabes Pharmacy. Thinking I was making life a bit easier for myself, I ordered on line and expected next day to maybe 2 day delivery from within Ireland. I ordered on April 24th and I am still waiting. I have contacted them numerous times, just getting a "we" are passing on and hope you get sorted email back. I have pleaded and begged them to please refund me, I spend nearly €100 I am on disability and is a iot of money to me. I am at my wits end and don't know what else I can do I feel they have stolen ftom me. Customer care does not exist. My advice do mot order from this pharmacy. I wish I hadn't. Very distressed customer.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. A month since I ordered and no item received I've requested a refund and they just say apologies someone will be in touch but after 5 emails, unanswered phone calls and online form filling, I still have not got item or refund!

Really disappointed in the lack of customer service when purchasing online. I wanted to cancel an order literally 3 minutes after ordering an incorrect product. There was no option to cancel an order and all interaction with their customer care team was with an automated email. Telephoned them where I received an automated answering machine advising me to email them. Sent round in circles. Really disappointing. No room or compassion for human error.

Sold a used and soiled product

I purchased a bottle of tanning oil online a couple of weeks ago. The product arrived used and dirty. It did not leak in the box as the packaging was perfect. I sent a message along with a photo to which they said they would reply within a couple of days as they are so busy. I never heard back so sent another message in. This reply was apologetic and again said they would be in touch but I heard nothing. All I wanted was a replacement or refund. I will never order from them again. Especially unhygienic as its a pharmacy.

Prescriptions Never Ready

I would leave an no star review if possible.
The Lucan branch at Supervalu is a disgrace. I have had on a few separate occasions rang and called instore to order my prescriptions. I went to collect them and they were not ordered, when I went back again, they were not ready and when I went back again the same thing! so 4th time lucky I got my prescription! It's an absolute mess and never an apology to be had, I suggest when you order a prescription you issue a ticket which states the time and date for collection or an order number for those who order over the phone, as often you are just dismissed. My time is as valuable as yours and also I am a customer and your customer service is a disgrace.

McCabe's in Charlesland

McCabe's in Charlesland, Greystones more often than not forget to put all the prescribed items in the bag when you collect your prescription.
Then they text you to let you know which means you've to go all the way back.
Totally unprofessional.
If they make simple mistakes like this with such regularity, they can't be trusted to do anything more important, such as dispensing correct doses.
I moved elsewhere as there are a lot of other, competent pharmacies in the area.

Cold uncaring staff especially the nutgrove store

I collect the same repeat prescription every 2 weeks for the last 6 years. Each time I leave with a negative feeling. The staff are cold, they project every issue onto you, its always your fault etc. There is never enough stock so you must call back another time for the rest of your order, that's another prescription fee for them. Nutgrove is their worst store. Now I have moved to another unrelated pharmacist and the difference is night and day.

No next day delivery. Delays on dispatch

Ordered an item on a Saturday morning with next day delivery (i know i wouldnt receive it on a weekend). According to their shipping policy it would be dispatched Sunday for next day delivery. Item wasn't even dispatched until Tuesday evening meaning I didn't receive it until Thursday. When I complained about the delay in dispatch and not getting the next day delivery as stated they blamed An Post.

no one available

As a Gp we ae advised that zomig should be used to treat a max of 4 migraine per month or less on a regular basis. I explained this to a patient because it can cause rebound migraine and the safety greater than that cannot be assured. The pharmacist told the patient that chronic migraine patients are given 24 every month and to request a prescription for same. I rang knocklyon to try and see where the data was coming from. i held for approx 15 minutes and no one answered the phone. I rang customer service twice and "elaine" is not available- accessing staff is impossible and i have concerns that i cannot address for the patient.

Terrible Customer service

My order was mixed up and I got a partial refund that actually meant I had to pay an extra €26 to get what I originally ordered. I wrote back explaining my dissatisfaction and I got no reply whatsoever. In summary, I would say it’s a good website if everything goes OK but if something goes wrong, absolutely terrible customer service.
