McGee & Co. was created in a spare bedroom with lots of big ideas and no room for fabric samples. After many late nights of brainstorming and collaboration, husband and wife team, Syd and Shea McGee decided to take what was a small business for a stay-at-home mom and turn it into something much more.

I bought a used vehicle from these individuals. Brian is the person that I dealt with. They are professional schemers. I did not see the vehicle first hand since I blindly trusted these individuals. The car was shipped to me. When I first got the car I took it to my mechanic to have a brake job done in the car. I asked the mechanic to check the oil since a sticker in the windshield was missing. The vehicle showed that it had plenty of oil. A couple days later as I was driving the car started making a horrible noice, it was almost like shooting a gun. The oil gage came one and said the engine needed oil. I immediately drove to the mechanic who after taking a look told me that unfortunately I had been taken. He said that the engine had oil but what these unscrupulous individuals did was add a heavier weight oil in order to mask the problem with the engine. This is fraud but unfortunately for the amount of money and the fact that I would have to file a lawsuit where I bought the car which is in Waco I can not do it. Thee best I can do is file this complaint and warn individuals about these guys. Of course they washed their hands and did not acknowledge what they had done.

I ordered the Arthur Desk in Heritage White Oak desk from McGee & Co. based on the photos and styling shown online, which depicted a cool, neutral-toned finish consistent with the brand’s soft, natural aesthetic. What I received was a desk with a distinctly yellow, almost golden tone that looks dramatically different from the listing.
I reached out to customer service with side-by-side photos and a polite request for an exchange. Despite explaining that my room has abundant natural light and that the desk’s tone is incompatible with the rest of my space, I was told the finish fell within “standard product variance” and no accommodation could be made. I tried again with a more detailed message highlighting how the tone doesn’t align with the advertised images or the brand’s usual palette — still no flexibility.
I understand natural variation, but this wasn’t a subtle shift — it was a completely different look. For a high-end brand that emphasizes curated design, I expected more accountability and better customer support.
Giving two stars because the desk is well-made and the design is beautiful, but I wouldn’t recommend purchasing furniture here unless you’re comfortable with receiving something that might look quite different from what’s pictured — and having no recourse if it does.
I will post a review on the site with picture in thirty days. I think it’s also irresponsible that you can’t post reviews to the site sooner.

Their first priority is NOT customer oriented. Their ordering system is poorly run…they cannot make an address correction once an order is placed and refuse to issue refunds on unused/unpackaged items.
I’m a designer who mistakenly ordered (2) dressers instead of (1). When I called the company to initiate a return, they were unwilling to issue a refund or help me come up with a creative solution. So, now I’m stuck with an $1800 dresser that I have to reimburse my clients for….I am VERY disappointed in their “customer service” and will never order from them again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

5/14- Ordered a white canister and shipping was slow. When it finally arrived, lid had a brown/yellow spot. They stated, I would have to go to shipping store, ship the product back, and once received they will send me a replacement...
I included photos and emailed them within an hour of delivery received, so it's not like I'm lying....
If a product arrives damaged, you will be required to wait the full shipping period on top of being responsible for return shipping.
Would never work with them again. I can't imagine the hassle if it's a more expensive item. It's just not worth it.
5/18 - Maybe instead of just reviewing this internally, you can provide me an update on where my replacement is? It was shipped back 3 days ago and I’ve got no replacement coming. I’ve already waited a long time and got a damaged item…..

If I could give negative stars this company would be deserving of that. I ordered 2 chairs ($1600 each) from this company. NO WHERE did it say that they were FINAL SALE. Including the receipt. Not to mention, I tried to return the chairs BEFORE they were even shipped and they would do nothing to rectify or even attempt to help. I would have been happy with even a credit but their Customer Service is absolute trash. I have decorated many homes and I would highly suggest you find your items from a reputable company. NOT THIS ONE! In my experience I have never had this issue happen and complete lack of customer service.

I have been a loyal McGee & Co. customer since 2020, I’ve admired and respected their style, ingenuity, and thoughtfully curated products. However, I have never been more disappointed in a company and its actions. I have been saving my rewards to use on a large purchase. As recently as a month ago, my points were fully intact. Now, without any notice, I’ve discovered that my rewards have been devalued by 80%. I understand the need for businesses to remain competitive, especially in today’s market. However, what’s most unacceptable is the complete lack of communication from McGee & Co. regarding such a significant policy change.
When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the new rewards program took effect at the beginning of March. Like many consumers, I participate in various rewards programs, all of which have always provided advance notice of changes—no matter how minor. But this? This is a significant change that directly impacts loyal customers. Isn’t that the entire purpose of a rewards program to recognize and incentivize repeat business?
When I requested to escalate my concerns, I was flatly told no—this is the new policy, and my feedback would simply be "passed along." This is not how a customer-centric company operates. If McGee & Co. values its customers, it should honor the commitments it made to them, not quietly dismantling its rewards program without warning.
To say this has been a disappointing customer experience would be an understatement. As a result, I can no longer support McGee & Co. and will actively advocate for other customers who have been similarly affected. Where I once planned on furnishing my new home with McGee & Co. products, I will now take my business elsewhere. I sincerely hope the company reconsiders this decision before losing more loyal customers.
I am so disappointed that Mcgee & Co would be so unprofessional about their rewards program. I had 7800 points worth 390$ saved up to buy something. Was ready to order only to find out they changed their policy without ever informing me. Now my points are worth 78$ and their only response was along the lines of “we are sorry you are disappointed, but there is nothing we can do about this”. Truly unprofessional and a bad look. This is what a customer gets after putting 5,000$+ into buying things from them. I placed several order in the course of the past 3 months. Many order had items missing, broken or just extremely poor quality. I ordered a 95$+ table clock as part of a large order, and didn’t receive it. Pursued them to send a replacement and when the replacement arrived a month later, it was scratched up with the leather peeling on it. Because I was traveling and couldn’t return it in their return window (this wasn’t anticipated because they messed up the order the first time around), they offered a mere approximately 8$ to keep a 95$+ table clock that came in terrible condition. Won’t be shopping with them again!
My coffee table arrived cracked and they claimed it was a characteristic of the marble… lol a 3,000 coffee table should be perfect. Didn’t state anything about cracks in the details of the product… DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Their rewards program changed about 3 times and now my 35,000 points is worth $350. Before, it would’ve been worth $1750. No warning or anything. Don’t care to purchase thousands of dollars with them anymore.

I ordered 2 brown fringed ottoman and they arrive with different brown color between top and bottom. Totally different from what pictrued on site. Emailed support right away with pictures said they will look into it, rejected return saying they may appear darker due to studio lighting (yeah right) had to fight it for a week and they refunded me but no refunds of shipping and i have to pay for return shipping. Very disappointed from customer service and from quality is going downhill

Product was poor quality and over priced. Found comparable for 1/3 of price. Return policy is the worst I have ever experienced! They charge 30% to return unless you PAY for “hassle-free return” than you just pay 15% restocking fee. The worst.

Recently ordered the Rounded Edge Bath Caddy. Very poor quality as it is not made of wood but a plastic resin type product. The advertised color is weathered warm wood but it is indeed gray. It also is not long enough to fit across a freestanding tub. I do not recommend purchasing those product.

The rug I ordered in September 2024 was back ordered. I was willing to wait. It arrived 01 21 2025. I was shocked at its poor quality. The web site grossly misrepresented it. A hand knotted rug can have 25 to 1000 knots per inch. Rugs lass than 80 knots per inch are considered poor quality. This item has 16 knots per inch. I am shocked. It is a large dish towel.

I ordered a dining chair from them and had it in storage for a long time while I was remodeling my house and then when I finally was able to use it for a few months my husband who only weighs 165 sat on it and it broke the leg. cheaply made but also they wouldnt work with me on getting a new one or fixing it, super discouraging especially after spending thousands of dollars with them.

Waited a while for a console table. The order arrived via drop ship only which I was unaware of, since shipping was over 100 bucks. When I unboxed it, the item was defective. I’ve been trying to get a resolution to this, but nothing thus far.The shipping company is rude, and told me people wait months for furniture when I called for status. Yes sir, people wait months, but I chose an in stock item so I didn’t have to. Still waiting on the defective console table issue to be rectified.I’ll stick to companies like Arhaus, RH, and other places with good products and customer service. I will never order from them again!

McGee &Co takes their time to pick and ship their items and charge 15% of the total retail price on shipping.
I placed oder from Boll & Branch, Pottery Barn and Zara Home on the same day. The order was delivered at my front door in 2 days and it’s free shipping.
On the other hand the order from McGee &Co has not even been packed at the warehouse.

I placed an order on December 2, 2024. I still have not received a shipping date. I have contacted customer service on several occasions and was told I should receive a tracking number within 24 to 48 hours. Still nothing. I have tried to call to speak to a person only to hold on the line and then asked to leave a message. I will never order from this company again.

If you buy a product and the price dropped to a lower price, a good company would do a price adjustment. Not MaGee & Co!!. My items arrived late, the price changed and they didn’t want to adjust price for my order. I can’t even return my order because all items are subject to a $25.00 return handling fee. I’m very disappointed with this company.
