MCK Construction 

Make sure to get plenty of quotes if considering this company. Quoted a truly insane figure for a very straightforward kitchen renovation - 6x as much as our second highest quote.
I can’t comment on them from a quality of work point of view - obviously - but was so alarmed by the quote I felt the need to leave a review.

On behalf of the whole family I want to thank you sincerely for the fabulous job you and the team have completed on our garage conversion. We are absolutely delighted with the job, we really are.

Never having taken on any structure work on a property before and having an elderly parent and disabled kids on site made us nervous but I can sincerely say you made it easy and took so much of the worry off our shoulders.

Right from the start, Alistair the Architect and yourself were patient and considerate and really listened to what we wanted and needed. You took great pains to make sure everything was clearly explained and we were never made to feel foolish whatever we asked.

Both in writing and in person, all the costs were broken down completely for each stage of the process, which was really useful in keeping control of our budget. Communication was excellent which meant any issues were speedily resolved on both sides and the updates we received from you were very reassuring. Even though COVID 19 caused obstacles MCK honoured all the timescales promised and delivered 100% on our expectations.

On a personal note, can you please thank wholeheartedly all the tradesmen involved in the job for us.

Everybody was polite, considerate and very mindful of our households disability needs. Everyone was unfailingly kind, respectful and understanding and took the time to listen when necessary. All the trades did you proud; they worked extremely hard and produced a quality standard of finish, the attention to detail by everyone was superb and the site each day as work finished was tidied, swept and washed down – we never felt as if we were on a building site!

The after-care in terms of snagging and site final clean made us feel quite spoilt and enabled us to start enjoying the space immediately.

So in summary, a fantastic job and a very supportive, stress free experience. It was a very competitive price that came in exactly on time and budget, we always felt in control.

We are very happy to recommend MCK both now and in the future to potential clients and would not hesitate to come back in the certainty we would get a quality 5 star experience and a competitively priced job.

The Build was completed well within the 3 month timescale and within the budget. The few minor problems we had were sorted immediately . The icing on the cake - The fabulous Cleaners. It will never be that clean again.

Kitchen and bathroom renovation
I was looking for something a bit special and MCK construction provided a very detailed plan and schedule to consider. The quote was very competitive.
Throughout updates were provided.
The site was always neat and tidy and the tradesmen were extremely efficient, friendly and worked to the highest standard. No job was too big or small and any little niggles were sorted without quibble. The quality of the work was outstanding. So much so I requested extra work carried out.
I was extremely pleased with how the work was carried out and any issues or concerns I had were dealt with immediately. The work was carried out by a team of professionals to the highest quality standards at a very competitive price. All the trades on site were polite, helpful, friendly and professional. Living in a building site is never easy, especially in winter, but they made sure to make the place as wind-tight as possible and left it tidy at the end of each day. The work has been carried out to a very high standard and the quality of the finish is easy to see. It has made a huge difference to updating the property, both inside and out and the new porch makes it so much easier to access the house and creates more light and space. I am more than happy with the finished result and would be pleased to recommend MCK to anyone thinking about their own build project.

From the beginning of our project, we were impressed with Tom and all of the MCK Construction staff. We were happy to see that the quotations provided was not only competitive but contained a full breakdown of works to be undertaken and their costs.

Building went smoothly and all of the workmen involved were very friendly and considerate (this was especially important for us as we had a young family at home during the project).
