Ford Escape 2013 2.5L - Very Disappointed – Too Many Issues for a Supposedly Reliable Brand
I’ve been very disappointed with my Ford vehicle due to the number of recurring issues and poor reliability compared to other brands like Toyota.
• The cooling water pump doesn’t seem to function properly, and the coolant doesn’t last long — I have to refill it every 2–3 months, which shouldn’t happen in a new or well-maintained car.
• The tire pressure sensors constantly fail. I’ve had to replace sensors for all tires every 3–4 months.
• The car doesn’t drive smoothly while in drive mode; there’s often a noticeable lag and vibration.
• The interior build quality is disappointing — the sunglass holder and sunroof controls are cracking and coming loose.
• The sunroof frequently gets stuck and the edge is cracked.
• The headlights also have visible cracks.
• The windshield wipers keep hitting each other despite several alignments. They break easily and even scratched my windshield deeply.
• The side mirrors are poorly designed — they don’t cover the full side view and are focused too narrowly.
• The right-hand rear seat wouldn’t fold down even after pulling the lever; it had to be repaired.
• The dashboard screen (odometer display) became blurred and damaged over time without any external cause.
• The handbrake loosens very easily, and the brake shoe brush needs frequent replacement.
• The tire pressure keeps dropping quickly, requiring constant refilling.
Overall, I expected much better quality and durability from Ford UAE AL TAYER MOTORS DUBAI. These repeated issues, combined with high maintenance costs, have made ownership frustrating and disappointing. I hope Ford seriously addresses these recurring reliability problems.
